Technoholic Formula Changes - Year 11!

April 8th, 2009: I've finished the (Technoholic) year off on a good note, having performed updates for Recondo and Rip Cord, in addition to a completely new description of Mutt and Junkyard, the original Gi Joe dog handler (well, Mutt was the handler, Junkyard was the dog). Perhaps I'll be able to finish up the 1984 stuff very soon, eh?

April 7th, 2009: still doing more Gi Joe work in 1984, 'cause I can. That year's almost done save for a ton of conversions, so I figured Now Was The Time; I guess I found my focus after all. Today I have produced for you a description of the Killer W.H.A.L.E., since I converted Cutter yesterday. Also, did conversions for Spirit and Thunder!

April 6th, 2009: doing a bit of work on the 1984 Joes because I really have no focus just yet, I went ahead and started to do some fresh .css conversions... I mean, why not? So for your gaming amusements, I have cleaned up the entries I have produced for Blowtorch, Cutter and Deep Six - the latter needed his 2008 figure added.

April 5th, 2009: since I'm sort of 'in between' where I was and where I'm going next, I figured I'd finish up a loose end or two, and thus did the .css conversion of the Slugger, a 1984 Joe device. Also, since I'm trying to mix new and old as much as possible, I did a fresh description, this time of the M.A.N.T.A. Weaponized Wind Sails!

April 4th, 2009: at long last, I have completed the 1990 roster of Gi Joe stuff - whether it be personnel or equipment we're talking about. I started by creating the description of the Cobra Night Raven, so that I could base the Sky Patrol Sky Raven on the thing; so really, that's a two for one entry there. And now I can move on to new stuff!

April 3rd, 2009: yet more clean up in the 1990 Joe gear section today. I've thus far upgraded entries for both the Retaliator and the Sky S.H.A.R.C. (and thus the regular S.H.A.R.C., as well as producing an all new entry for the General, something I'd hinted at way back in August (right before surgery seven?) That last one's a doozy, too.

April 2nd, 2009: continued my work mopping up all of the 1990 Gi Joe equipment, and did about as good as I did yesterday. I have converted existing entries of the Hammer and the Sky Hawk II, and have also concocted another all new vehicular entry for your gaming pleasure, that covering the rather small and utilitarian Locust helicopter.

April 1st, 2009: I have begun my 'swan song' on the 1990 Gi Joe business, as I am now mopping up all the outstanding vehicles that I had lingering about. To wit, I have done .css conversions of the Avalance and the Sky H.A.V.O.C., and of course produced an all new entry for you, of the Mobile Battle Bunker. That's three down, seven to go!

March 31st, 2009: yep, more hot Joe action for you today. But today, I'm giving you something new! That's right, I have concocted an entry for the one and only Dodger, who got his second Joe figure in 1990, but is the last surviving member of Battle Force 2000. He's the only one of that bunch that didn't get killed off in the comic, so enjoy!

March 30th, 2009: yeah yeah, more 1990 Gi Joes. Today I have concocted for you a massive .css upgrade to Tunnel Rat and all ten or so of his action figures for your gaming pleasures. Oh, such pleasures... but I digress. The point is all the existing '90 Joe staff are done up, leaving me the last fellow that needs written, Dodger, to be done soon.

March 29th, 2009: again with the Joes, I tell you. Again! Today I've gone through the effort of converting Law and Order to the new .css style; he's a 1987 Joe but he was also featured in 1990, so there you go. While I still have a bunch of the team's '90 gear to go through and fix / build, at least the actual '90 Joes themselves are almost done!

March 28th, 2009: resumed the Gi Joe stuff after a short break there, and basically did my massive .css overhaul of Dial-Tone. He's one of the last four Joes to cover for 1990, so I had to do the many and various repaints of him up for your gaming pleasure... woo. But that leaves just three more people to go, one of which is all new!

March 27th, 2009: a slight diversion from the Gi Pounding you've been receiving lately, I went ahead and wrote up another of the Alcoholic Anthologies from the Club Invertebrate! That's right, issue two of that Variant Earth 13 anthology is now available for your reading pleasure - assuming my fiction doesn't drive you up the wall...

March 26th, 2009: yet again, I give unto thee Gi Joe updates! Today I have went and produced a brand new entry, this time for Static Line, the last of the six Sky Patrol guys that only seem to have saw the light of day in the 1990 releases; none of these guys got a 'repeat'. Not sure why but eh. Either way, he's there for you!

March 25th, 2009: yes, even moar Joes! Continuing the .css upgradery and history updates yet more, I have completed the current versions of Airwave, Altitude, Drop Zone and Skydive, which gets all of the Sky Patrol personnel I've made entries for current. That just leaves one more to write up (new, mind you) afore they're done!

March 24th, 2009: again with the Gi Joe! I know, right? Anyway, for your gaming utility today, I have produced upgraded, .css compliant and mobile device ready entries for a) Sub-Zero (not the Mortal Kombat guy), Topside, Updraft, and of course Airborne 2 (the 1990 one, not the one from 1983). Things are cooking like crazy here!

March 23rd, 2009: you guessed it, more 1990 Gi Joe stuff. Today I have applied the .css awesome to Rampart, Rapid-Fire, Salvo and Stretcher, making that four folks that received the updatery today. Four! That leaves three more of the 'basic' '90 guys before I start delving into the special groups - and of course more new write ups!

March 22nd, 2009: continued working on the Gi Joe 1990 stuffs, doing more upgrades of course. I have updated Cold Front, Freefall and Pathfinder to the new format, and I even added a Joe! That's right, took me a few years, but I finally got around to producing an entry for the one and only Major Storm, the driver of the Gi Joe General!

March 21st, 2009: picked up and did a bit moar Gi Joe work, namely starting in on the 1990 .css upgrades. Thus far, I've worked over Ambush, Bullhorn and Captain Grid-Iron, getting a nice start in that year worth of Joe chicanery. Will keep at it of course, unless the writing bug bites me some more, and I throw more stories at you...

March 20th, 2009: well it took a week to finally get it 'right', but I finished the first issue of the Alcoholic Anthologies from the Club Invertebrate, the last of the four 'series' of Tales from Variant Earth 13 I was going to tell. Of course, the others are horribly behind, but we won't talk about those, now, will we? Thank you very much...

March 19th, 2009: so I did something I've been dreading for a good long time, namely the construction of an entry in the Gi Joe handbook for Sparks, that weird fellow who never had an action figure and only showed up in the cartoon - at least until fanboys-turned-writers shoe-horned him a) into the comic, and b) into the team's origin.

March 18th, 2009: I completed my work on the 1982 Gi Joe vehicles, now having .css upgraded everything from that year. Today I hit the R.A.M., the R.T.V. and all five versions of the V.A.M.P. I also spent a little time playing with the navigation in the Gi Joe section again, 'cause I want it to do something it isn't, so there's that.

March 17th, 2009: continued my work on the 1982 Joe equipment, doing upgrades of the .css type for the M.M.S., the M.O.B.A.T. and the Pit, some having only one version and some having, well, more. More! MOAR! That leaves me with but three more devices to cover before the 1982 stuff is done (again), I think. Unless I have to add someone?

March 16th, 2009: having gotten all the 1982 Joes upgraded and updated, I figured I'd turn my attention to their stuff, that being the 1982 Joe Hardware! Thus far I've worked up fixes to the F.L.A.K., the H.A.L. and the J.U.M.P., wif more on the way tomorrow! I may even have this '82 stuff totally in the bag by the end of the week. Yay!

March 15th, 2009: so these two weren't as involved as say, Stalker or Hawk, but I've updated entries for both Steeler and Zap, thus finishing off the actual people in the '82 Joe roster, where the upgrading is concerned. Now I've just got to hunker down and start up on the equipment, and then things will be downright spiffy there!

March 14th, 2009: where Gi Joe is concerned, I say moar moar moar! I worked up Short-Fuze in the new .css format, adding one new figure I think, and then Stalker, who required four new figures. I also added to their backgrounds to account for the 'end' of their storyline, since well you know, the comic got a big ol' reboot and all that. Two more to go!

March 13th, 2009: still more work in the Gi Joe sector of the 13's .css upgrade, again with the 1982 Joes - you know, the originals. Today I worked up Hawk, Rock 'n Roll and Scarlett, all needing minor upgrading though only one had uncovered figures to work into the mix. However, they all had a bevy of figures so they took a while to work up.

March 12th, 2009: continued the work of refurbishing all the 1982 Joes, who not only need the .css upgrade and general 'year by year' expansion, but basic updating as well; the 'Marvel' continuity has come to a close, and some of these folks have new figures I never added. Today, I hit General Flagg, Grand Slam and Grunt, getting me close to halfway.

March 11th, 2009: resumed work in the Gi Joe handbook a tad, namely by upgrading not one, not two, but three of the 1982 Joes to the new format: Breaker, Clutch and Flash. They do take a bit longer than I thought, what with the 'expanded' rosters I broke up by year, but it's a good start regardless. Mmm slow, perpetual progres...

March 10th, 2009: well I guess I lied a tad, for I really finished work on the Triumvirate today. You see, I wanted to add a bit of 'flavor text' to their index page, what with that being the general trend in the Variant Earth 13 deal. So I crafted some 'client testimonials' for the thing and then pushed them live. So I suppose now they're really done.

March 9th, 2009: I completed the Triumvirate of Tribulation at long last (heh), finally working up my description of the Infernal Machine. That covers all three of those folks, plus the Quintuple Bartender, all of which will shortly be appearing in a Tale from Variant Earth 13 - in case you were wondering where the fire was - so there's that.

March 8th, 2009: continuing my four-piece collection of Variant Earth 13 oddballs that I've been intending to post up for some time, but have never gotten to, I present to you the Devil-blasted Man, the second of three members of the Triumvirate of Tribulation! Naturally, the goal is to complete this unholy trinity of bounty hunters tomorrow...

March 7th, 2009: supplementing the release of the Quintuple Bartender yesterday, I also present unto thee a mutant mercenary of morbid malaise for your gaming pleasure in the Variant Earth 13 world, she being Penny Pincer - guess what her mutant power is? She's the leader of a trio known only as the Triumvirate of Tribulation - tremble!

March 6th, 2009: in a slight detour from Gi Joes and geriatric heroes and whatnot, I decided to just spend a few days working on some characters that have been rattling around in my head for the Variant Earth 13 setting, 'cause I was slowly working on a story using a few. Thus I have made available for you the Quintuple Bartender, in the v13 Loners section.

March 5th, 2009: I dinked around a little bit with the navigation deal, trying to figure out how I wanted that to flow in the Joe section. I think I have it but if it's too 'long' down the line I can truncate it a bit. I also did the .css conversions for all six of the Manimals, 'cause they're probably the eaiest 'Joe' figures to take care of.

March 4th, 2009: completed, after a few days of work, my experimental Gi Joe .css work, completing the conversion of the one and only Snake-Eyes. This entry encompasses all thirty of his action figures (not on one document, mind you), and his history through the end of the 'Marvel' timeline. This one's been a long time coming... arg.

March 3rd, 2009: at great personal expense to myself (well, $2) I went ahead and re-purchased a copy of Amazing Adventures #19, in order to get my hands on the Untold Tales of the New Universe story contained within - can't seem to find the Untold Tales collection here... beh. Regardless, I have now completed for you the Spitfire issue guide (yet again).

March 2nd, 2009: I have to admit, I've been holding out on you guys. All last month I've been working on the Variant Earth 13 portion of the site in addition to the New Universe Handbook, and have just finished its .css upgrade as well. That's right, a whole new section is ready for your modernized, cleaned up reading pleasure!

March 1st, 2009: started the month out on a good note, by finishing up the New Universe Handbook's .css upgrade! Yep, I finally upgraded the 'news' section and the 'holding' page for the DP 7 comic, and after putting a few band-aids on the imagery thing (and fixing a few mislabeled covers) that thing is now current and foxy again!

February 28th, 2009: ended the month on a good note. You see, I went ahead and did all the .css work for the not-yet-started Justice portion of the New Universe Handbook, and noticed I had never 'finished' my entry for John Tensen - he who is Justice! I've now completed him in both MSH games for your use in your own campaigns.

February 27th, 2008: I performed a lot more clean-up in the New Universe Handbook today, upgrading the 'holding' pages for the Draft, the War and the Starblast sections. I also of course did the .css upgrade of the Living Tribunal (in the Starblast), and I did big clean up on the Chronology, Links and main New Universe index pages.

February 26th, 2008: guess what? I did a bit more New Universe clean-up today, working out the kinks on the Pitt portion of the New Universe Handbook. I added the .css upgrades to the main 'index' page as well as all three original characters in there: the Witness, the Famileech, and of course Colonel Browning. That thing's in the bag!

February 25th, 2008: woo! I have concocted .css conversions of cannily capable caped crusaders! They include Relampago, Skybreaker, Toocheetsch, and Troublemaker, the last four members of the Medusa Web I needed to upgrade in order to bring the Medusa Web team roster - and Psi-Force portion of the New U handbook - up to date!

February 24th, 2009: even moar Psi-Force shenanignas for your gaming pleasure, I deliver unto thee, in the newly upgraded .css format! Yes, for the Medusa Web I have fixed up entries for Electrique, Gatto di Sangue, Imprint, and Potiphar, leaving but four more of those to fix up before the Psi-Force handbook is current!

February 23rd, 2009: I know you clamor for more, more, more Psi-Force, and that's what you shall receive! Today I started working on the .css repair for the Medusa Web, and thus far I've converted four of the twelve known members of that group, including Babel, Backfire, Donner Kopf and Dustoff to the new Technohol site standard.

February 22nd, 2009: yet more Psi-Force shenanigans today! I covered all four remaining menbers of the Crasniye Solleetsi team as far as .css fixing goes, including Coojeechiscue, Rodstvow, Shivowtnoeh, and Sillatochca, making that mini-roster all done. That just leaves the one last group for Psi-Force, the Medusa Web, and they're current!

February 21st, 2009: more Psi-Force (assuming you're not sick of them yet). I did the .css fixes for Mindwolf, Sedara, Shockwave and Syphon, basically completing the 'main' roster page for that reference. That just leaves the four Red Sun (Russian paranormal) folks remaining, and of course the mighty Medusa Web. Go me!

February 20th, 2009: continued with the Psi-Force .css overhaul today, and completed four (4) more entries. I .css'd up Emmett Proudhawk, the Psi-Hawk, Salvo and Voyager, adding new text files to three of those - and of course another dose of spell checking, since I wrote these back in '97 or so and never did before? Oy.

February 19th, 2009: I'm off to a good start on the Psi-Force portion of the New Universe Handbook's .css update. So far, I've upgraded Andrew Chaser, Healer, Johnny Do, Network and Overtime - three of which needed text files, so I added those. Needless to say, there's also a flurry of spell checking going on, too.

February 18th, 2009: aha! I have finished the Star Brand portion of the New Universe Handbook's .css upgrade, working out the fixes for Kayla Ballantine, Ereshkigal and Quasar, the latter of which I had to upgrade story wise since he died in Annihilation - and then came back. Not once, but twice. Now that's staying power!

February 17th, 2009: completed the three 'oddball' paranormals listed in the Star Brand portion of the New Universe Handbook - at least, their .css update; they were done otherwise a looong time ago. They include Spotty, Scrunch and Tantrum. Work proceeds apace, and I seem to be easily moving according to plan on these folks.

February 16th, 2009: yet more perseverance in the New Universe arena, as I continue my .css upgrades of the Star Brand section of that reference. Today I covered Gladiator (updating his Chronology as well), Hysteria and Pinhead. The goal is to hit the next three villains tomorrow and finish up Wednesday if possible. Completion?

February 15th, 2009: persevered in the Star Brand portion of the New Universe .css upgrade, having converted not one, not two, but six people into the new format, namely all the New Universe based wielders of the Star Brand. Also updated Ken Connell's and Roger / Jane Price's chronologies, to account for new sightings.

February 14th, 2009: started up the .css upgrade of the Star Brand portion of the New Universe, having figured out the main, 'index' page, along with the eight issue guide pages and of course the description of the Star Brand itself. Not bad, eh? Will start up with some of the Star Brand wielders tomorrow - mostly Ken Connell so far...

February 13th, 2009: I finally wrapped up the Codename: Spitfire .css update, completing all the necessary work on the individuals and gear covered in the Club entry, which included two more villains and one piece of equipment (or minion write-up, you decide) not covered elsewhere. Oh yes, and even more spell checking. Wow, I can't spell.

February 12th, 2009: working to wrap up the Codename: Spitfire portion of the New Universe Handbook .css upgrade, I've cleaned up all of the individuals and gear noted in the Krotze International entry, which included two villains and two pieces of equipment not already covered elsewhere. And spell checks - lots of spell checks.

February 11th, 2009: again I continued work on the Codename: Spitfire .css retrofit, having finished up everything on the 'index' page of that section, which means the Troubleshooters are again done - and again proofread (this time with software, since I apparently can't spell 'computer'). Plan to hit some villains tomorrow...

February 10th, 2009: resumed working on the .css upgrade to the Codename: Spitfire portion of the New Universe Handbook today, and have thus far fine tuned all four versions of the M.A.X. armor and all four members of Project: Spitfire (at least the ones not already covered). I also did yet another round of spell checks... egad.

February 9th, 2009: oh hey! While I was tooling around in the Vintage Age Handbook, I went ahead and finished up my second overhaul of the Black Marvel. Finally making all of his material 'my own', I verified everything with my own personal research and then updated his 'modern version' as well, just to get him on top of things again. Woo!

February 8th, 2009: instead of continuing the Spitfire conversions, I diverged from the 'official' plan and built up a new entry of the one and only Terror! Not that villain from the Tick series, mind you, but another Golden Age solo hero, that you may be interested in using in your games. He's an odd one, but I hope you enjoy!

February 7th, 2009: I began the process of converting the Codename: Spitfire (and the Troubleshooters) portion of the New Universe handbook to the new, .css format. Thus far, I've covered the five issue guides, the main 'index' page for that section, and of course Jenny Swensen (both versions) and Jake Travest. Huzzah? Huzzah.

February 6th, 2009: I made a minor addition to the Flexo the Rubber Man entry, accounting for his sleeping gas power, which I apparently missed my first time through his tales. I also did an overhaul of Keen Marlowe, the original Mighty Destroyer, adding his knives and an extended version of his origin (which noted other Destroyers).

February 5th, 2009: continued my stroll down memory lane by writing up the inexplicable adventures of Zephyr Jones. Marvel at this Golden Age adventurer's baffling ignorance of basic astronomy! See him meet all kinds of new and interesting aliens on improbable worlds - and beat them up! Check him out in the Vintage Age Handbook today!

February 4th, 2009: went ahead and continued my slow character dissection of several really old Marvel comics, and have produced for you a description of the Green Terror, a weirdo Golden Age villain that was in fact the only villain that ever (in published accounts, at least) dealt with the triple threat detection agency that is the 3Xs.

February 3rd, 2009: slipped back into the Vintage Age handbook thanks to some new reference material I have acquired, and did an upgrade of the American Avenger's entry. Now that I have all ten pages he's ever seen print in, I thought it was high time to go ahead and flesh out his description just a little bit. And I have!

February 2nd, 2009: completed work on the Kickers, Inc. portion of the New Universe Handbook's vast .css switch-out, finishing conversions of the three notable villains and one 'high tech' device. That makes three major sections of this reference done, and I'll be starting a fourth as soon as I finish up some more Golden Age goodness!

February 1st, 2009: started working on the Kickers, Inc. portion of the New Universe Handbook's .css overhaul, upgrading the issue guides, the main 'index' page and of course the five members of Kickers, Inc. proper. As was the case with Nightmask and Mark Hazzard's sections, I am also re-proofreading everybody, 'cause these are some old files.

January 31st, 2009: completed work on the Nightmask portion of the New Universe Handbook's .css upgrade, completing clean-ups of all four villains that showed up in the series, as well as a useful contact for Nightmask himself. Even did an additional spell check on everything while I was at it, since the age was showing in these files.

January 30th, 2009: started working on the Nightmask portion of the New Universe Handbook .css upgrade, and so far have done the issue guide, the main 'index' page and of course the stars of the series, the four members of the Ballad Dream Institute: Dr. Ballad, Lita Mercado, Teddy Remsen, and of course Keith Remsen: Nightmask!

January 29th, 2009: completed the Mark Hazzard: Merc portion of the New Universe Handbook, where .css conversions are concerned. Finished upgradging Sgt. Major Peel, Priestess, Ritter, Mal Rossi, and the entire Hazzard rogue's gallery, Frenchie Graymalkin and Father Kevin Eugene Johnson of the Cestus Dei. Not bad for an early day, eh?

January 28th, 2009: resumed the Mark Hazzard stuff since everything seems to be in order now. I converted the issue guide, as well as the main Merc index page, and then started up some of Mark's merc crew. Thus far, I've converted over Louis 'Treetop' Barrington, Lincoln 'Stryker' Griffin, and the one and only Doc - more to come tomorrow!

January 27th, 2009: having worked out some kinks that needed working out, I have now done the .css for the main New Universe Handbook page, and gave it a bit more color as you'll see (whether or not I keep that will depend on how it clicks over time). Also did the Chronology and the Links page in full .css, and will try for more tonight.

January 26th, 2009: worked out some of the more 'unique' bits of .css I need for the New Universe Handbook, namely things like the logos and stuff so that you won't see them with 'styles' turned off. This is good so it won't clutter up things like your mobile device, should you be looking at the 13 whilst you're on the road or somesuch.

January 25th, 2009: did an experimental New Universe conversion, namely by .css-ing up Mark Hazzard, Marvel's original Merc with a Mouth. Did all the .css work and pretty-i-fied up a lot of his stuff and then put him live. The plan is to work on his compatriots here in the near future, to give me a foothold in the New U Handbook.

January 24th, 2009: I've done something you don't have immediate access to of course, but you will soon. Namely, I've finished all the vast amount of grunt work necessary to do the .css overhaul of the New Universe portion of the 13. It's a whole lot of boring horror and general mass replacing... leaving me the custom work for each document. Woo.

January 23rd, 2009: completed my overhaul of Jack Frost, having added a lot to his history details. I probably spent way too much time on each individual seven page story the man starred in back in the 1940s (all four of them), but what the heck. Since I can do that sort of thing now I figure why not? Makes it more complete!

January 22nd, 2009: I continued my big revision of Jack Frost, since I am holding some of his original, Golden Age tales. Having added a few new powers yesterday, I've begun overhauling his story to include details of his 'outcast' past, since as it turns out he was originally on the wrong side of the law - or at least the police thought so.

January 21st, 2009: began a revision of Jack Frost from the Liberty Legion. Now you may say Hey, you already worked on him before! And yes I did, but now I have a source of info on the man's Golden Age appearances, which includes new powers and interesting historical details not available before. So I am being thorough and giving these to you!

January 20th, 2009: completed my upgrade of Optimus Prime's history, doing a sort of 'capsule' version of the series' progress. Sure I could have gone into details on what he did in every single episode, but... why not simply watch the show for that much information? But no, he's all done up, which means the Autobots are all done up... again!

January 19th, 2009: did the mammoth work involved with a .css conversion for the leader of the Autobots: Optimus Prime. I'd finished his Robots in Disguise entry for both Classic and Saga versions, including all fifty or so powers the fellow seems to have. I haven't quite got his 'history' worked up yet, but I'll try to by the end of the day.

January 18th, 2009: did the .css conversion for the Autobot Brother known as Side Burn for the Robots in Disguise reference. Once I'd got him and his forty-ish powers up to speed in both versions, I updated his history somewhat to account for the whole 'end of the cartoon' deal, and got him all spiffy at last. Only 1 more folks to go!

January 17th, 2009: did the .css conversion for the Autobot Brother known as Prowl for the Robots in Disguise reference. Once I'd got him and his twenty-ish powers up to speed in both versions, I updated his history somewhat to account for the whole 'end of the cartoon' deal, and got him all spiffy at last. Only 2 more folks to go!

January 16th, 2009: did the .css conversion for the Autobot Brother known as X-Brawn for the Robots in Disguise reference. Once I'd got him and his thirty-ish powers up to speed in both versions, I updated his history somewhat to account for the whole 'end of the cartoon' deal, and got him all spiffy at last. Only 3 more folks to go!

January 15th, 2009: continuing coverage of every remotely relevant character in the Golden Age of Marvel Comics, I built an entry for Wing Po, the nemesis of Dave Dean. This also required another all new section of the Vintage Age handbook, a counterpart to the 'adventurers' one. Two people from a six page story... well, I worked with what I've got.

January 14th, 2009: I have built a more refined version of Master Mind Excello, updating the fellow based on my own personal research (and poring over all fourteen pages he appeared in back in 1940). This mostly involved expanding his 'story' considerably, and of course adding a description of his super-corrosive compound SF-44. Woo!

January 13th, 2009: started working on slowly dismembering all of the oddball characters I have not already covered from the pages of Mystic Comics and Daring Mystery Comics (I got those too, now), beginning with an entry for the swarthy seaman Dave Dean. I also broke out a new section of the Vintage Age Handbook dedicated to those adventurer-types.

January 12th, 2009: resumed the mighty mighty .css work for the Robots in Disguise reference, and have completed work on the entire Autobot Build Team. Midnight Express, Railspike, Rapid Run, and the team's gestalt, Rail Racer, are now fine tuned and update in sleek, awesome .css for your viewing pleasure. That just leaves the four 'main' Autobots to go!

January 11th, 2009: took a break from the .css work by adding another new Decepticon to the Robots in Disguise reference - namely Dreadwind, the second of a dastardly duo of fighter jets that were introduced very, very late in the line. That just leaves two more Decepticons that need added yet, along with one that needs refurbushing, to go. Neat, eh?

January 10th, 2009: still working the Robots in Disguise conversions, since I haven't burned out on those yet. Today I did the entire Build Team, covering Grimlock, Heavy Load, Hightower, Wedge and the Build Team combiner, Landfill. Another huge chunk of these done, that leave naught but eight more Autobots to convert to the new .css remaining. Awesome?

January 9th, 2009: got back to the RiD conversion and have finished the three outstanding Spychangers who needed a little taste of .css. They include Crosswise, Hot Shot and Ironhide. So those fellows are all done, just leaving but thirteen (ooh) Autobots to convert over - and only four of those need special character work. Coming along fine there!

January 8th, 2009: today I did my extensive researchy bits on the Dynamic Man, and have rebuilt his description after having dismantled all four of his comic book appearances in the Golden Age. Yes, I present him unto thee for your gaming purposes in his all-new, all-better incarnation. And like all my recent work, it even included a trip through a spellchecker!

January 7th, 2009: starting month 3 of the monolithic block of updates, I have done three of the six Spychangers so far in the new .css format. The intent is to get the others done today; I'd have done them before I finally passed out but I think it's probably a good idea for me to crash when I'm actively fighting sleep. I want it done but you know, must keep sane!

January 6th, 2009: did another batch of Transformers: Robots in Disguise .css conversions, including Skid-Z, Sideways, Side Swipe, Prowl II, and Daytonus. That leaves fifteen folks that don't need additional 'story' work - those that do being the main four Autobot characters. Heh. I also seriously upgraded my entry for the Black Widow in the Vintage Age thing, because I can.

January 5th, 2009: having located some semi-official information for him, i've gone ahead and done a complete description of the Decepticon known as Smokejumper, one of a pair of fighter jets that came out for the Robots in Disguise line of Transformers well after the cartoon and overall story was done. So, having tech specs and everything I need, I give him to you!

January 4th, 2009: picked up the Transformers some more. I've done the .css conversions for Fortress Maximus, Omega Prime, Storm Jet, Tow-Line, and Ultra Magnus. Those were three of the seven ugliest entries in that area, meaning the worst won't hit me 'till last now (said worst being the ones that need story updates as well). Also, regarding the RiD stuff, I've Found Something...

January 3rd, 2009: upgraded the Father Time entry again, since I found height / weight / hair + eye color info for him. Had it here! Also, I built a complete entry for the Challenger in the Vintage Age Solo Heroes section, including both a comprehensive Golden Age version and a slightly different Modern Day version, since apparently he was reintro'd in She-Hulk recently? Huh.

January 2nd, 2009: sadly I did not get all that much done today, at least compared to the last two. But I did finish up the Decepticons that were needing a .css upgrade in the Robots in Disguise handbook. Yes, those last three fellows, Ro-Tor, Rollbar, and Ruination are done up and current again. I just like that name. It rolls off the tongue. RUINATION.

January 1st, 2009: continued my work in the Transformers: Robots in Disguise section by making vast .css overhauls of five of the eight remaining Decepticons. Covered Scourge, Skyfire, Armorhide, Mega-Octane, and Movor, leaving but three folks there. I'd have done them also but I started leaking cerebral fluid out my ears and thought that was a good sign to stop.

December 31st, 2008: I have finished out the year by making huge inroads in the .css conversion deal. I took apart the RiD section here at home and figured out that hardly any of those folks need 'repairing' like in the Vintage Age Handbook, so I set to. I have converted all the Maximal (one), Predacons (eight) and Vehicons (two), along with four Decepticons. Rock!

December 30th, 2008: as the year winds down, I am starting to hit the remaining bits of the Vintage Age Handbook that need a bit more research and cleaning up. Such bits include my entry for Flexo the Rubber Man. I added a power to him and filled in various details of his published adventures since I seem to have all four of them. Why do I do this to myself? 'Cause I am here for you!

December 29th, 2008: before the sleep claimed me, I went ahead and started cleaning up my entry of the Fin - which remarkably, didn't need very much cleaning. I did the .css conversion and then split him into a 'Golden Age' and 'Modern Day' entry, though the two aren't too different. I also did basic, basic work on Flexo the Rubber Man's entry as well.

December 28th, 2008: made a few minor updates to Zara of the Jungle and Taxi Taylor, though that was the small potatoes. For you see, I spent several hours completely overhauling my description of the Blazing Skull, making him .css-y, breaking him into 'Golden Age' and 'Modern Day' versions, giving him text files, proofreading the whole thing, and giving it to you!

December 27th, 2008: was a bit more productive today than, say, the last three days combined. I made a complete overhaul of the Blue Blaze entry in the Vintage Age Solo Heroes section, giving him .css and filling him out alluringly with my own research. I also overhauled Merzah the Mystic's entry (again), giving the man's 9 printed pages (ever) proper treatment.

December 26th, 2008: finished up that Silver Scorpion deal. I guess I was right and didn't need as much 'research' as I thought, mostly with her being a 'bit player' as far as the stories of that V-Battalion went. She was there but was more in the role of an 'extra'. I also upgraded the Human Top and Golden Woman entries with V-Battalion costume entries (because I can).

December 25th, 2008: mostly finished my 'modern' version of the Silver Scorpion, though I have a few bits of fine tuning to do yet; it's not live for the most part. However I do this for the sake of quality control, just to a) make sure the fine details are correct, and b) lay a bit more ground work for the stuff I'll need to do with the V-Battalion eventually. Fun!

December 24th, 2008: completed the 'Golden Age' version of the Silver Scorpion; I gave her a new talent in her Classic description and two in her Saga version. Streamlined the text, made text files, spell checked, re-read, etc. You know, quality control. Heh. I also made some fixes to the Father Time entry, adding his personality blank (oops), and alternate costume interpretation.

December 23rd, 2008: started up a combination .css upgrade and modernization of the Silver Scorpion, since they actually used her of all people in the modern day; probably had to do with her recent appearance in that Invaders limited series thing. Started this part up but didn't get it all done; holiday hijinks are slowing me down here, so apologies for that.

December 22nd, 2008: oy, I'm old now. But I have indeed completed, despite a pizza-induced coma, the final version of the new Dakor the Magician entry. Added a bunch a new magic spells to the guy, fleshed out his origin and personal details, and added text files (which most folks in the Vintage Age thing lacked it seems). I also fixed a bum link in the Universal Heroes magic thing.

December 21st, 2008: finished up my drastic overhaul of Hercules 2, having thoroughly gone over both of the six or seven page stories he appeared in. Ah, my own research, how I prefer thee. I also started up work on Dakor the Magician, giving him the similar treatment but I haven't got all done in that regard just yet. The plan is to do that tomorrow, after the family drags me out...

December 20th, 2008: I began a serious upgrade of the mighty Hercules 2, in the Vintage Age Solo Heroes thing. You may be thinking I've got to be running out of people to 'fix' in that section soon... and you'd be right. I'm getting there, though it is a pretty big area. Twenty Three people there right now, though two have been added this month. Or this week? Ah, lost time.

December 19th, 2008: well I finally got around to building that description of the second, dead Angel. I put him in the Misc. characters section, so if you were wanting a little more information about that fellow, there you go! Though he only showed up a few times, I suppose he got a bit more air time than the Moon-Man, so I guess he was important enoug to have his own description. Heh.

December 18th, 2008: whee. So I've gone above and beyond, and subjected myself to the nine pages (total) ever published about the mighty Moon-Man, and have decoded those into an all-new, all-insane Vintage Age Solo Heroes description for your bemusement. While the fellow seems to come off as more than a little bit unhinged to me, I find him amusing at the same time. So enjoy!

December 17th, 2008: I completed my upgrade of the Invisible Man, which basically involved not just switching him over to .css, but actually overhauling his entire entry. Having my own source of data now, I was able to make my own, firsthand (and better) impressions of the man, so I've bulked up his history and various other bits considerably. I do enjoy working from my own information much better...

December 16th, 2008: apologies in advance, but I didn't get a whole lot done... that you can see today. I spent most of my 'free' time doing intensive research on a large number of Vintage Age heroes; I have a new source of sexy data. However, I did begin an upgrade of the Invisible Man, and added minor additions to the background info of the 3Xs, Taxi Taylor, and Zara of the Jungle.

December 15th, 2008: so I have added Father Time to the Misc. Characters section for your gaming pleasure. But you may find yourself saying 'but you just added him yesterday, what're you, crazy?' Well I might be, but I did add a different Father Time today. This one is the Elder of the Universe using that name, not the Golden Age one (see how all this work lately is suddenly related?)

December 14th, 2008: woo! I have completed my work building a modernized Black Marvel entry for the Vintage Age Handbook. Of course, that's not all. I also adjusted the 'edge' ratings for the Astronomer and the Trader (though I still disagree with their 'official' ratings), and on top of this, I have added an all new hero to the Vintage Age Handbook: the one and only Father Time!

December 13th, 2008: I never did find the biographical information I needed for the Trader, which is all the more irritating since I know I possess one of the Marvel Handbook things that holds it. Regardless, I finished up everything else and got his entry 'live' in the Misc. Characters section. I also began an upgrade and modernization of the Vintage Age Black Marvel - which is halfway finished / online.

December 12th, 2008: started working on an entry for the Trader, another Elder of the Universe, but hit a fatal snag in that I don't know some of the 'biographical' information for the fellow, so I haven't made his entry 'live' yet. I will try to come up with that material tomorrow - or else failing that I'll just brazen through it. Figured I'd give it a second shot beforehand, though.

December 11th, 2008: wow. I found a folder full of game statistics for people I'd built... what, over ten years ago now? This pile included the Elders of the Universe, and I've added the first of many, the Astronomer, to the Misc. Characters section! I also upgraded my Vintage Age Black Widow entry - though I haven't modernized it, as was the case with Excello (Twelve series is still ongoing.)

December 10th, 2008: I fidgeted with the 'main' page, getting some of the stuff I'd been struggling with making look vaguely good to finally do so. Also upgraded Merzah the Mystic, (Armless) Tiger Man, and Master Mind Excello to the new .css format, though note the latter hasn't been Modernized yet. I'm still waiting for the end of the excellent series, the Twelve, to end before I do that.

December 9th, 2008: hit a few that didn't take quite so long to work as the Vision did yesterday, so I got two done! Yes, I have upgraded the entries I have made for Miss Fury (written mostly by the esteemed Emar Zero), as well as the one for the one and only Taxi Taylor. If you've been itching for cleaned up and spell-checked (finally) versions of these two heroes, you're so in luck!

December 8th, 2008: well it took a lot longer than I expected, but I have completely revamped my version of the Golden Age Vision. I finally found my 'Golden Age' Marvel Universe handbook thing, and saw how woefully incomplete my entry was. So I've modernized the content in addition to the html; there isn't a 'Vintage Age' and 'Modern' version, but this one is worlds more accurate than the previous.

December 7th, 2008: admittedly I didn't get a whole lot of business done today; mostly I spent my time fiddling with the .css here and there; of course I didn't like some of the changes I made once they were 'live' so I put them back. However, I did manage to get the Vintage Age solo hero entry for Zara of the Jungle cleaned up and upgraded to the new, .css site style. Slowly they come together...

December 6th 2008: thanks to the bizarre sleep errors, I have managed to stay up late yet again, and I have completely completed my work updating the entry for the one and only Toro, the side kick of the original Human Torch. Of course after doing that I have also gone above and beyond the call of duty, and have produced an entirely updated version of the one and only Asbestos Girl. Rock?

December 5th, 2008: so as promised, I began to update the entry for Toro, the original Human Torch's side kick. I've got the 'Golden Age' version of him live as we speak, thought he 'Modern' one is not remotely ready. I also made some minor adjustments to the Patriot and the Spirit of '76, toggling each up a notch in the 'Captain America' history, since apparently some other fellow got shoe-horned in as the second.

December 4th, 2008: though I was feeling a bit 'meh' today, I made sure I kept to my word, and did indeed update the Golden Age and Modern Age entries (since I have split the one into two!) for the one and only Angel. Of course, there's actually two Angels, not counting the X-Man that borrowed the name a few decades after the war, and that other mutant hooker lady that did the same. Ah, comics!

December 3rd, 2008: resuming the Vintage Age stuff, I picked up and started upgrading the Solo Heroes to the new .css deal. What I've done today is completely upgrade the 3xs and the American Avenger, and have made partial progress on the Angel; you don't see that of course 'cause I've moved the files from where they are now to the solo directory proper; I will finish and have him also Updated tomorrow.

December 2nd, 2008: ever since I added the Nike entry to the site, I'd been meaning to add another character description to the 13, a fellow that showed up in some of my old table top games a long time ago. Brushing up on my history and mythology, I went ahead and fine tuned my description of Asclepius, the Greek god of Medicine, and have presented him to you in the Misc. Character section. Surprise!

December 1st, 2008: I have completely updated the entry for the Spirit of '76, who people more often tend to think of as 'that guy who was the second Captain America'. I know you were expecting me to update the entry for the guy currently filling those buccaneer boots, but the computer woes over the last couple of days pretty much shot that idea down. Was working on the dying machine upstairs, see. Brr.

November 30th, 2008: hey, guess what, i was wrong. I'd read on some site that a) the Human Top was dead, and b) Golden Girl's daughter was the one with powers. Well, I finally dug out me own V-Battalion comics and found out that a) he's not dead, and b) the daughter was a son. Go figure. Minor character details for the win! Teach me to base most of my research on 'fan' sites instead of my own memory. Beh.

November 29th, 2008: not much going on today. Just did a bit of looky-lou-ing at the design and the overall 'look' of the site thus far. The change I eventually made was the slight softening of the black tone on the text; if you look closely you can see it's just a bit lighter than it used to be. I did this 'cause it seems easier on the eyes overall, instead of having a black-on-white wall of words.

November 28th, 2008: more grunt work. I finished upgrading that 'solo heroes' roster' in the Vintage Age section, and then also upgraded everything in the Crusaders section. Of course, I saw how much work was left undone there, and so I started up on it some. I added text file versions to Spirit of '76 and Mighty Destroyer 3. Planned on getting moar done tonight but... computer fail!

November 27th, 2008: I did a lot of grunt work today, converting most of the rosters in the Vintage Age book to the .css version, save for the Solo Heroes one. Oddly this will almost complete of the 'Smoothing' work I'd needed to get done on from the site update before this one, which shows how slow I get things done. Of course I also began a huge update of my Bucky entry. Since he's Captain America now.

November 26th, 2008: got back on the Vintage Age stuff... mostly because. I meant to do a lot of bulk converting but found one entry in the 'Kid Commandos' was laced with bad words - a hazard of letting other people collaborate with you (and why I don't any more). But I have completely upgraded both the Golden Girl and Human Top entries from that section, making Golden and Modern Age versions of each.

November 25th, 2008: thus far I've resumed a bit of work on the general 'format' of the site, and have reconfigured the navigation on the .css version of the 13. Namely, I sorted out how to add sub-navigation to the rather sensitive thing, and have thus finally managed a link to the site's Master Roster (though I'm rebuilding that from scratch, d'oh). All the more convenience for you, the Technoholic reader!

November 24th, 2008: oh my. It took some doing but I have completely crafted the new, 'modern day' Thin Man entry. On top of fine tuning his write-up for the Golden Age, I had to rebuild him completely after taking details of his origin's retelling into account from the New Invaders series. He plays out like a textbook psionic character (oddly enough) so I wrote him up that way. So glad I finished that already... heh.

November 23rd, 2008: well I didn't manage to finish all my work on the fellow, but at the very least I've done most of the leg work, rebuilding my 'Vintage Age' version of the Thin Man from the ground up. That version is now squeaky clean, and has set the stage for my finishing his modern-day, exceedingly angry version tomorrow. But for now, the Liberty Legion itself is completely finished (again!)

November 22nd, 2008: continuing my work on retooling the Liberty Legion, I have in fact completed my .css conversion of Miss America, the Patriot and Thin Man, finally completing work in that regard. However, I am in the process of a huge update to the Thin Man's abilities and story, what with all of the use he received in the recent 'New Invaders' series - and beyond. Finishing that is tomorrow's job!

November 21st, 2008: still working in the Vintage Age Heroes section - namely the Liberty Legion. I've .css'd up entries for Blue Diamond, Jack Frost and Red Raven on top of the one for the Whizzer last night. In addition to simply upgrading the 'guts', I've actually completed a 'modern Red Raven' to separate the fellow from his Golden Age self; they are rather different after all...

November 20th, 2008: strange day here. Saw the day before I'd had a blank for a 'modern Whizzer' update and yet I'd never finished it. So I did that and then found I'd never made the 'golden age only' version of him, so I made that. And then of course on both I noted that I was lacking text file versions so I made sure I built those. I also converted all said files to the new .css format, of course.

November 19th, 2008: ah, days off. So good for getting a lot of things done. I've updated the Battle-Axis roster and all the folks done so far into the new .css format. Why, you ask? Well you see, oddly enough Doctor Nemesis (formerly Doctor Death) of all people showed up in the Uncanny X-Men, so I made a 'modern' version of himself for your use. I also updated the Misc. entry for Marvel Boy as well.

November 18th, 2008: y hallo thar. I have .css'd up the entire Manual of the Psi, save for the big character generation tables (much like I did with the Book of Magic last night), reserving my time in the event that I update the content of said tables (and I plan to). I also upgraded the 'main' index page for the Universal Heroes rules section, and tweaked bits of text here and there as well. Spellcheck!

November 17th, 2008: o hai. I am still plugging away at the .css conversion of the Universal Heroes stuff, and have did all of the Book of Magic stuff save for the ginormous table-rolling area; this because, well, I may need to reconfigure all those tables soon (more magic idears percolating in me head, there is!) Didn't write any today but I'm planning for moar on my days off.

November 16th, 2008: didn't get a ton done today, but made some progress again nonetheless. What I was doing was an attempted rewrite of the 'movement' page I have posted in the Universal Heroes Core Rules, but hadn't got too far before I hit a weird snag. Oddly, my rules books have gone missing and I need to find the darn things (just to make sure I remember something right). Whoops.

November 15th, 2008: I continued doing writing more than actual conversion work today; not that I'm sure anyone minds. I essentially cleaned up the 'FEATs' page's text, overhauling it a whole bunch and rearranging some of the sections to flow better. The idea was to start simple and work up to the complex stuff after all, and going into Column Shifts after FEAT intensities mixed that up some.

November 14th, 2008: I've begun working on converting the Universal Heroes rules sections into my new .css format, and have made staggeringly good progress on the 'core rules' area. Not only that, but I have actually done some writing there. Yes, new content for you! I actually, finally finished the first two pages of my Core Rules, 'Primary and Secondary Abilities' and 'Ranks and Rank Numbers'!

November 13th, 2008: didn't get too much done today, admittedly; in a funk about the whole 'being laid off from the job' thing. However! I did start the conversion process on the Universal Heroes rules page. I have completed all of the 'top level' pages for that beast, and will start working on the sub-books over the next few days (unless it takes less time than I think and I finish a lot faster...).

November 12th, 2008: tried to work on ways to pep up the 'ultimate' conversion process where the character descriptions are concerned, and haven't done too well. Luckily I don't need to do everything a given document needs to perform a minimal conversion to the .css layout. But I digress, for I have completed the conversion of all the characters in the Misc. section to the new format, mostly as a test.

November 11th, 2008: sort of going slow with the devise-ment of the new .css parts of the site, since you know, making this up as I go along. But I've worked out how the 'classic' sheets are going to flow, and now have one up live as an 'example' to work from. This is my Classic description of Nike, in the Misc. section. Not much of course but it's a start for the work to come.

November 10th, 2008: did all of the leg work required to produce the .css versions of my 'saga' character sheets. I built an 'example' to work from, the Saga description of Nike, in the Misc. section of the 13. This took some devising of proper 'styles' before I could even work out the fine details, which are now on all the new, multi-hued style sheets. Took a bit but now I have a road map!

November 9th, 2008: worked out some of the kinks in the .css I have devised so far, and have now worked out my 'road map' for the rosters littering the 13. These are so far just covering MSH Classic / Saga versions of folks. This 'sample' roster is the one on the Misc. section of the site, check it out with styles on and off! 'Course, if I add a new game to the 13 I'll have to redo it again...

November 8th, 2008: I cleaned up the terrible Doomed Guest Book entries, and placed them all in a lump sum of terror you can reach on the Basics page. Feel free to drop by and check that out if you need a spine-tingling spoonfull of searing sarcasm and succor so soon after seeing this screen. Alliteration for the win! Of course I also updated all eleven updates pages, too. Go figure.

November 7th, 2008: continuing the work of ages, I have completely overhauled the Atomic Links page, converting everything on that page to the new design and, and, actually updating the links. I bet most you didn't know that all the sites AOL hosted went kaput as of last month? I just found this out when I had to delete a ton. Who knew most of the Saga sites were on AOL? I didn't until today...

November 6th, 2008: yet another operation under my belt, I return (again again) to pick up the pieces of the 13. I've actually been working on developing a new, .css design for the site which, while it looks like the current one, is all sexy under the hood. And theoretically easier to handle. I've deployed it on a few of the 'top level' pages, and will be working on spreading that around over time.

Watch me build webbery!

August 13, 2008: throw the switch, Igor! Slowly coming back from the dead, I begin my work to stitch up a few loose ends here on the 13, 'cause you know, I have about 300. Resurrecting some long-dormant work, I've picked up and added another Joe to the 1990 roster, that being Skydive, leader of the one and only Sky Patrol! Also found blueprints for something Immense I've sought for a long time.

Stay tuned for more on that...

August 12, 2008: hnrrr... zombies! Having been out of touch for a few months due to Surprise Surgery Number Six, I have returned at long last, and I come bearing updates - if, albeit, minor ones. Whilst looking through my 1990 Gi Joe stuff, I saw an inexplicable grammatical error on the Salvo entry, and fixed that for the 1990 and 2005 entry for the guy (classic style).

May 18th, 2008: it's alive... it's alive! While you can't see what I've done today, as it involved a few hours of Rules Work ™ in the Top Secret Section of the 13 ™, I have indeed worked on the 13. I do intend to SHARE what I'm doing as soon as I get the Rules Work ™ portion of this Top Secret Section ™ either done or mostly so, but ... we'll see how that goes. Huzzah!

However, in order to not make you feel totally ripped off here, I've also added something to the site proper (in other words, the areas actually viewable). A long time ago I'd made a Saga version of a random Greek goddess, Nike, and have finally built the Classic version as well. While I posted it on the new Classic Marvel site first, I've made it available here now, in the Misc. character area.

Am I not lovely? Oh! Oh yes, that's not all, my lovelies. In addition to the Top Secret Section ™ progress and the Brand New Character, I've added not one, but two (2) new Tales of Variant Earth 13. They are the first and twenty sixth (?) issues of the Universal Squad, another example of my non-linear yet very planned out writing style. Get ahold of that!

April 9th, 2008: basically I have updated the site with the new, Year Eleven business. I haven't got much more done because I am a slug of late, and have been since my health went south last year. I will try to get back on the ball for this eleventh year. Or this second decade. Decade. Goodness, I am old. Will try to work on that 'immortality' thing here sometime during this year too.

So I can maybe finish all my projects before the Senility has me...!
