Wet Down Strength Agility Intellect Willpower 6d 7a 4x 5d Hand Size: 3 (17) Edge: 1 Known Powers: (none) Equipment: Diving Gear (a): Daniel carries various gear that allows him to function underwater almost normally. His wet suit, combined with his air tank, underwater mask, and flippers, allows him to act underwater for about four hours, and move at one water speed intensity higher than he otherwise should be capable of. Harpoon Gun (a): although he's highly skilled in the use of various firearms, Daniel prefers to use a harpoon gun, as does fellow S.E.A.L. Torpedo. To wit, they both fire a harpoon capable of inflicting damage per a +4 weapon with each deadly barb, and Daniel's accuracy with this weapon is absolutely spot on. the Joe-Com (i) *: this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with an intensity 6 - 250 mile - range, is equipped with a G.P.S. system, a heart monitor, and can store up to a terabyte of raw data - not bad, eh? Of course, this device also stores a variety of nutrients it can use to supplement activity, which are absorbed directly into one's pores (think of this as intensity 1 life support, where food is concerned). So, not only is the thing a nice, high tech video phone, but it can also save one's life in a pinch! Knife (s): since guns aren't always the right weapons to use on stealth missions, all Joe S.E.A.L.s typically carry at least one blade on them during missions - if not all the time. David can use this +2 blade to cut through items of up to material strength 12 - very handy in a pinch. Underwater Explosives (i): carried in various pouches and pockets, these devices are especially crafted to detonate underwater - to spectacular effect. In essence, they detonate to inflict intensity 12 damage to everything within striking distance of where they explode - deadly to ships and such! * The Joe-Com is something that the Joes started using in their new (as of 2001) comic, but wasn't featured on the 2001 Wet Down action figure. Hindrances: (none) Skills: Boxing (s): an offshoot of his martial arts skill, this talent allows Daniel to divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee attacks, the last of which will occur as a contingent action. Combined with his martial arts skill, this makes him very deadly - armed or otherwise. Demolitions (a): chosen to lead certain Joe amphibious assault operations due to his ability to make naval targets 'go away', Daniel got in this position because he's such a good saboteur. With enough time and equipment, Daniel can destroy just about anything, though he specializes in waterborne targets. Marksmanship (a): an essential part of Daniel's military education involved learning how to effectively utilize a gun. Whether it be a standard, semi-automatic, fully automatic rifle or pistol, or even a harpoon gun, Daniel can use it in combat at one difficulty level lower than is usually required. Martial Arts (a): S.E.A.L.s are the best the Navy has to throw at a body, so you can bet they get plenty of combat training - including extensive hand to hand combat education. Daniel can use Strength or Agility in unarmed melee (even when trumping), and can reduce the difficulty of dodging or catching actions. Military / United States (w): when he hooked up with the Navy, Daniel was given the standard treatment during his basic training, as well as during his S.E.A.L. education. As such, he knows military protocols and the laws of the sea like the back of his hands, and can lead fighting men into battle if necessary. Underwater Combat (a): an essential part of Daniel's S.E.A.L. training, this skill represents his ability to fight effectively under the waves. He can utilize Agility instead of Strength in underwater combat, even for trumps, and uses Agility instead of Intellect to determine action declaration order underwater. Calling: Adventurer, with a secondary calling of Soldier: Daniel loves his job, mostly because he gets to hit the waves and blow things up - though he does take his duty very seriously. The problem is that the man's constantly looking for excitement, which is more likely than not to get him into trouble... Costume: Daniel's field uniform consists of a primarily black wet suit, one that has a large gray block in the center, a patch of color that moves down from his shoulders to the insides of his legs, down to his gray boots. He complements this suit with a gray pair of gloves and a gray belt. Personality: Daniel is in love with adventure and excitement. He also has a deep-seated love for all things aquatic, which makes it easy to see how he wound up in the Navy. Of course, he's also a persistent patriot, a hater of all things 'evil', and quite the action addict - he can't sit still for more than a minute! Real Name: Daniel R. Alexander, grade WO-5 Occupation: Navy S.E.A.L. Legal Status: citizen of the United States with no known criminal record Marital Status: single Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: G.I. Joe Height: 5' 10" Hair: unrevealed (though bet on black) Eyes: brown Weight: 155 lbs. Other Distinguishing Characteristics: none Story: Daniel Alexander grew up near the Naval grounds in Norfolk, Virginia, and sort of followed in the footsteps of Shipwreck, when you get down to it. You see, he was always checking things out there, even sneaking onto the base just to get a better look at the ships that came and went! His sense of adventure didn't get him in trouble, though; he never got caught in his innocent trespasses. He so loved all things Navy that, immediately after his high school graduation, Daniel signed up with that military organization before his recruiter could even finish telling him how good his deal was. Naturally, Daniel excelled during his basic training, and did so well that he qualified to enter the BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolitions / S.E.A.L. program). He then did so well at that that he became the youngest S.E.A.L. in the Navy - a situation that naturally attracted the Joe team's recruiters. The Joes are always out looking for the best of the best, after all, and it looked like Daniel could become that - with some experience under his belt. To this end, the Joes put him in charge of several amphibious assault operations, and thanks to his training and zeal for action, he succeeded in his endeavors. Quite well. So much so, in fact, that he's been welcomed into the ranks of the Joe team in spirit as well as in fact, and he often works with Shipwreck, Wet Suit, and his apparent idol, Torpedo (who likely was responsible for some of his training) when the Joe team has some Naval nastiness it must perpetrate.
