Lifeline 2 F A S E R I P Res Pop Gd 10 Gd 10 Ty 6 Ex 20 Gd 10 Gd 10 Rm 30 Rm 30 Sh 0 Health: 46 Karma: 50 Origin: As are the rest of his of his fellow Joes (the exceptions being just odd statistical anomalies), Greg is but an ordinary human, one who lacks ascendant powers of any stripe. Though he lacks super human powers, he has plenty of medical skills and fighting spirit to get him through missions. Known Powers: (none) Equipment: Comm Suite: Greg always carries a communications suite with him on missions, in order to call in medical evacuations of wounded personnel. These systems, usually consisting of a backpack with a helmet-mounted mouthpiece, work with Typical (6) power (100 mile range). Daggers: Greg carries two of these utilitarian blades with him while on the job. These blades, one of which is carried in a boot sheath when not in use, is made from Incredible (40) m.s. metals, and can cut through objects of like m.s. Greg can also use these to inflict Edged Attack damage in melee. First-Aid Kit: his stock in trade, Greg always carries a first aid kit with him on missions. His first aid gear consists of various medicines, antibiotics, drugs, sterilized medical tools, and even a small oxygen tank. Greg also carries extra first aid gear in various pouches and such. Gravity Sled: this odd device is useful for delivering wounded personnel from the field of fire in a jiffy; sure, Greg is strong enough to carry the wounded all by himself, but this allows him to maximize his effectiveness. This odd sled has the following vehicular capabilities: C S B P Gd 10 Pr 4 Ex 20 Sh 0 * Flight: Greg's gravity sled is basically a small hover platform. He can ride it standing up, or in a prone position for extra speed. The thing can glide over most any terrain at Feeble (2) air speed - 30 m.p.h. - safely, or fly at up to Poor (4) speeds - 60 m.p.h. - in an emergency. Grenade Pistol: curiously, Greg carries a small, auto-feed grenade launcher with him on missions. This small (for its type) weapon can fire projectiles which will explode to inflict Remarkable (30) Edged Attack (fragmentary) damage to everybody inside the area they detonate within. the Joe-Com *: this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with a Typical (6) - 250 mile - range, is equipped with a G.P.S. system, a heart monitor, and can store up to a terabyte of raw data - not bad, eh? Of course, this device also stores a variety of nutrients it can use to supplement activity, which are absorbed directly into one's pores (think of this as Feeble (2) life support, where food is concerned). So, not only is the thing a nice, high tech video phone, but it can also save one's life in a pinch! Semi-Automatic Pistol: Greg always carries a standard-issue firearm with him on G.I. Joe missions. He can fire this weapon when necessary to inflict Typical (6) Shooting damage with a single shot, or Good (10) Shooting damage in a high-speed burst of ammunition. * The Joe-Com is something that the Joes started using in their new (as of 2001) comic, but wasn't featured on the 2004 Lifeline 2 action figure. Quirks: (none) Talents: First Aid: Greg has been a paramedic for many, many years. When treating a dying person, he can halt their loss of Endurance ranks, and if they've slipped to Shift 0 End within the last five turns, he can still stabilize them - either way, he can help folks recover one lost End rank immediately. Guns: one of two skills he has gained as a result of joining the Army, Greg is now competent with most any firearms. Whether it be a standard, semi-automatic, or fully automatic rifle or pistol, or even esoteric weapons like shotguns, Greg can fire them at his Agy score +1 CS. Martial Arts type B: another skill he picked up in Army basic training is the ability to defend himself unarmed should he need to. In unarmed melee, Greg can attempt to punch, bite, kick, knee smash, head butt, or even elbow drop an opponent as though his Ftg score was +1 CS in rank. Military / United States: Greg is a member of the United States Army, and as such has had to go through the same basic training that the rest of the armed forces have. As such, he knows military protocols and procedures like the back of his hand, and receives two extra military contacts. Contacts: While he's a newer member of the G.I. Joe team, Greg can nonetheless rely upon his many comrades-in-arms for assistance should he need it; after all, the Joes take care of their own. Furthermore, Greg has many additional, as of yet undocumented contacts in military and medical circles. Costume: Greg's second G.I. Joe field uniform consists of tan camouflage patterned trousers, a black T-shirt under a dark green vest bristling with pouches, a green cap, brown and black leather boots, a black leather belt, and various black straps, holsters, pouches and sheathes distributed about his uniform. Personality: Greg is the absolute coolest under pressure - it takes a whole lot to faze this guy. That seems to be why he joined the Army after all; he's looking for a true challenge. As such, he'll readily volunteer for even the most hairy of missions, and has no problem wading through a firefight to help his downed comrades. Real Name: Greg Scott, grade E-5 Occupation: medic Legal Status: citizen of the United States with no known criminal record Marital Status: single Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: G.I. Joe Height: 6' Hair: black Eyes: brown Weight: 160 lbs. Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Greg tends to wear a healthy amount of 'five o'clock shadow' at all times, a'la George Michael. Story: Greg was a paramedic in New York City who had quite the reputation for keeping his cool; no matter how sticky a situation got, the guy could maintain a level head. He was very, very good at what he did, but he ultimately found something lacking in his job... something he couldn't easily finger. At least, not until he was persuaded by an Army recruiter to join up for the challenge of it all, not to mention the ability to engage in 'a new kind of combat'. As such, Greg enlisted in the Armed Forces, and he went through the same training that every other recruit has to. Eventually proving himself as an Army medic, Greg showed personal excellence in the planning and execution of rescue operations, usually being ten steps ahead of most any calamity that could occur in the process of pulling the wounded out of pretty much any combat or hazard zone. This impressed the high-ups in the G.I. Joe team, who are always on the lookout for the best of the best in government service, whether they come from a military or federal law enforcement path. When offered a position on the Joe team, Greg was eager to offer his services as a 'lifeline' for the team. Of course, nobody bothered to tell him that there was already a Joe on the team with that code name. Nonetheless, Greg has quickly shown that he is worthy of membership on the team, and is more than happy to wade into the nastiest missions and situations with them - he thinks it's fun!
