the M.A.N.T.A. The M.A.N.T.A., or Marine Assault Nautical Transport; Air Driven, is a small wind sail the Gi Joe team can use to make stealthy infiltrations - or to quickly move from one place to another on the water - without tripping enemy sensors. The entire vehicle basically consists of the sail, the main rail (to stand on), and the support rail. The M.A.N.T.A. has these vehicular statistics and capabilities: C S B P Gd 10 Gd 10 * Ty 6 Sh 0 .30 Cal Rapid Fire Machine Gun: mounted on the mast of the M.A.N.T.A., this small yet powerful machine gun allows the 'captain' of the vessel to light up most targets in the water. This gun can be fired to inflict Good (10) Shooting damage in a short burst, or Excellent (20) Shooting damage in a full-auto spread; the latter burns its ammo rather quickly, however, for the M.A.N.T.A. can't carry a lot and move fast... First Aid Kit: the M.A.N.T.A. comes equipped with a small first aid kit should its pilot find himself wounded while sailing wherever he needs to go; this happens more often than you'd imagine on missions with the Joes. This kit contains bandages, ointments and everything else needed to perform emergency field medicine to stitch up bullet holes, knife wounds, shark bites, or whatever. Surface to Surface Missile: the support rail of the M.A.N.T.A. has room for a small missile launcher, which is loaded up with a small missile that can be used for surface to surface combat. There is little aiming involved with this sort of attack; this one shot missile will typically only hit whatever is in front of the boat, which requires its pilot to aim the M.A.N.T.A. at its target. This missile works as follows: C S B Damage Ty 6 Am 50 Gd 10 Excellent (20) Edged Attack (fragmentary) * It should be noted that this is an optimum maximum speed for the M.A.N.T.A., which is approximately 60 miles per hour (just over 50 knots). In all reality the M.A.N.T.A. won't usually move faster than Poor (4) speeds, or 30 miles per hour (around 25 knots), unless the wind is powerful enough, and with little to no wind it will likely be limited to Feeble (2) speeds, or 15 miles per hour (about 12.5 knots).
