Equipment:
Grenade (i): Big Lob carries one grenade with him in the field at all times. He can fling this explosive anywhere within near missile range, to inflict intensity 10 damage to every uncovered target within near missile range of where it detonates.
the Joe-Com (i): this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with various other goodies built in to help a soldier on the go, and is described in greater detail in its own equipment entry.
Knife (s): Big Lob typically has a long, machete-like blade kept in a sheath over his right hip. This blade is made from m.s. 12 materials, and can be used to cut through items of like m.s. (though this may take a bit), or to inflict his Strength +2 damage in melee.
Semi-automatic Pistol (a): just about every Joe has at least one sidearm with them in the field, and Big Lob is no exception. He can fire this weapon to inflict his Agility +4 damage in a single shot, raised to his Agility +5 damage in a semi-automatic burst of lead.
Hindrances:
(none)
Skills:
Boxing (s): the military definitely helped Big Lob brush up on his fighting skills, but he was no slouch before enlisting. He may divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee attacks, the last of which will occur as a contingent action.
Marksmanship (a): a skill everyone picks up in the Army, Big Lob has been trained in the fine art of gunplay - even if he doesn't use it all that much. He may fire any standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifle or pistol at one difficulty level lower than is normally necessary.
Military / United States (w): the source of his fighting talents, this skill represents Big Lob's origin (after a fashion). It also details how he can function in a fighting group effectively, and shows his inherent knowledge of the S.O.P.
Sports / Basketball (a): in case you weren't sure, Big Lob is really big on the game of basketball. He loves the sport, and practically lives it with every waking breath. He should play the game and make actions regarding knowledge of the sport at a reduced difficulty.
Trivia / Sports (i): Big Lob knows his sports - all sports. While he plays basketball by choice, the man knows just about everything there is about most professional sports - at least those of the American variety. He makes sports knowledge actions at a reduced difficulty.
Calling:
Thrill-seeker: Big Lob is a good example of this calling. The man loves to push himself to his very limits, and have adventure all the while. He actually gets bored if he's not constantly living on the edge, and even finds his Gi Joe work tedious on occasion!
Costume:
Big Lob's Gi Joe field uniform is somewhat simple. It includes a red tank top / jersey with white trim and the yellow number '14' on it, greenish-brown trousers, gray leather boots, a brown bandoiler (holding his grenade), a gray belt, and a brown knife sheath hanging over his right hip.
Personality:
Big Lob is smart, self-assured and nigh-fearless. Big Lob really likes sports - especially basketball. Big Lob likes to work sports commentator jargon into every conversation - if not every sentence. Big Lob also likes to refer to himself in the third person regularly.

Story:
Little is known about the background of the rather conspicuous Gi Joe operative known as Big Lob. He seems to have a true love for basketball, and may have played the sport in either a college or professional capacity before he enlisted in the Army.
He's shown himself to truly have what it takes in the military however, despite his odd tendency to refer to himself in the third person, and Big Lob quickly gained the attention of the Gi Joe recruiters for his sheer physical ability and nigh-fearlessness.
Once he managed to get through Gi Joe's rigorous entrance exams, Big Lob was placed on the team in an official capacity, where he quickly developed a deep friendship with fellow Joe Tunnel Rat. Of course, the details of most missions he participated in are unknown.
They are of a primarily 'special mission' status, and as such are unknown to most of the world - if not most of his fellow Gi Joe operatives. He helped the team here and there when needed, at least until the group's original incarnation was deactivated in 1994.
What Big Lob did after this is something of a mystery (as is most of the man's history). However, he has turned up now and then upon the Joes' reactivation, usually when the team is facing a serious threat that causes them to call in all of their reserves.
One such occasion was the second Cobra Island Civil War, during which several Joes were killed in action. Of course Big Lob also helped the team out during World War III, serving in Uganda with several other Joes while the team narrowly stopped Cobra from conquering the entire planet!
