Equipment:

the Eliminator (i): David's mean ride, the Eliminator is a heavy duty, high speed attack jeep built to withstand his driving style. It can also contribute parts to form the Battle Force 2000's Future Fortress, and is described in its own vehicular entry.

Helmet (s): a proper safety precaution, David always wears his helmet while behind the wheel of his Eliminator. It offers him +2 protection against physical attacks, and includes a visor that gives him like protected senses, where his vision is concerned.

High Caliber Pistol (a): whenever he's forced to fight outside his Eliminator (or has to deal with a boarder), David brings this powerful hand cannon into play. He can fire it to inflict his Agility +5 damage in a single shot, raised to +6 in a semi-auto burst.

Kevlar Vest (s): an additional precaution above and beyond his helmet, David usually wears his Kevlar vest while on the job - he does get shot at a lot, after all. This gear grants him +2 protection from physical attack to his torso, improving his survivability greatly.

Knife (s): you never know when you're going to have to cut something - or someone - in the field. As such, David always carries a blade with him on the job, which can be used to inflict his Strength +2 damage in melee, or to cut through items of up to m.s. 12.

Hindrances:

(none)

Skills:

Boxing (s): an ability that most everyone learns as a taxi driver, David can easily defend himself should he find himself without weapons. He may divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee attacks, the last of which occurs as a contingent action.

Driving (a): David knows his way around vehicles - he can make them do things that even their engineers thought impossible. Whenever he's behind the wheel of any ground-based vehicle, David may attempt maneuvers at one difficulty level lower than is normally required.

Marksmanship (a): a skill everyone picks up in the military these days, David can easily operate most conventional firearms. Whether he's handling a standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifle or pistol, David may do so at a reduced difficulty.

Military / United States (w): serving as an origin of sorts for David, this talent is the source of almost all his other skills. It describes how he knows the S.O.P. like the back of his hand, and how he can effortlessly function in a military environment.

Vehicular Combat (a): furthermore, David is well-versed in the fine art of vehicular combat - he was a taxi driver for several years, after all. Whenever fighting behind the wheel of a vehicle, David may attempt related combat actions at a reduced difficulty.

Calling:

Soldier: David enjoys the military life. Sure he gets to do his duty and serve his country and all that, but he also gets to shoot back at people who wave guns at him - sometimes, he's even allowed to shoot first! It definitely beats the life of a cabbie...

Costume:

David's Gi Joe uniform is advanced yet practical. It includes gray and brown camouflaged pants, a gray Kevlar vest, gray and brown boots and gloves, a gray and brown helmet with a mirrored visor, chromed webbing to hold some gear, and a black leather belt.

Personality:

David's always been an aggressive driver, but his work in the military allows him to amplify this to a ridiculous degree. The trick is that he's not an angry driver; he just knows where he needs to be and doesn't hold any truck with anything resembling an impediment to his progress...

Story:

David got his start as a taxi driver in Boston, where he developed his driving skills to an almost ridiculous degree. After three years, seven armed robberies, several back-seat births and the collapse of a roadway while he was on it though, David had decided he'd simply had enough.

If he was going to drive for a living, he wanted a vehicle he could use to shoot back with.

So naturally, he enlisted in the Army. The man showed his natural skills time and time again, and was placed where he could do the least damage (well, to the Army's gear, at least). David then did his time in mechanized reconnaissance, pushing military vehicles to their very limits.

Always on the lookout for standout soldiers of good character, the Gi Joe team eventually snapped David up, and placed him on their experimental, Battle Force 2000 unit. While he lacks some of his teammates' technical skills, David can handle most of their vehicles better than they can.

Given the code name of 'Blocker', David was specifically placed in charge of the Eliminator, a sort of armored jeep with a 'bonus' package that could be used alongside other similar devices from other Battle Force 2000 vehicles to form their prefabricated, Future Fortress compound.

He used this in the Force's first field actions, an attack on the Terror Dromes Cobra had installed in Freusenland, showcasing his skills along with the abilities of his sweet ride. Having proved himself, David remained on the Gi Joe team for several years.

At least, until the Battle of Benzheen.

During this conflict, the Force was sneaking through an oil field to move into position, and were betrayed by the Emir they were there to protect in the first place. Cobra shelling then obliterated most of the Battle Force 2000 team, including poor David.
