the S.L.A.M.
The Strategic Long-range Artillery Machine, or S.L.A.M., is a very small mobile weapon. Smaller than even the Joes' mini-tank, the Armadillo, the S.L.A.M. has a similar cannon array, along with a full brace of micro-missiles to ruin the day of many a Cobra.
The S.L.A.M. can definitely move under its own power, thanks to its 600 HP engine, but is often towed into place on other vehicles to save its fuel for firefight conditions. A one man operation, the S.L.A.M. has the following, devastating capabilities:
Armored Hull (s): the S.L.A.M. is built to dish out serious punishment while taking plenty itself. It is built from m.s. 12 materials, and offers its occupant +3 protection from conventional injuries - it's small and tough!
Barrage Mini-missiles (i): the S.L.A.M. is outfitted with ten of these micro-projectiles. They are heat-seeking and can be guided by the operator directly if necessary. The Barrage missiles inflict intensity 8 damage each, and can add +1 for each additional projectiles fired.
Communications Array (i): the S.L.A.M. is equipped with a gigahertz frequency, frequency wobbler clandestine operations radio system, allowing for constant team communications. This makes for intensity 6 comm power (with a 250 mile range) that has intensity 10 signal encryption.
Four-up Cannons (a): the star of our show, these four 90mm cannons are linked to give the S.L.A.M.'s operator staggering offense when needed. When fired, these guns will inflict a jaw-dropping Agility +8 damage with each deadly hail of leaden doom.
Lightning Speed (a): the S.L.A.M. doesn't really move as fast as lightning, but its 600 HP engine definitely give it a surprising amount of pick-up in a pinch. The S.L.A.M. can move at approximately 55 miles per hour, having this power at intensity 2.
Night Vision Sensors (w): the S.L.A.M.'s driver seat is equipped with multiple targeting sensors and devices, including fully functional, thermal night vision. This allows the S.L.A.M.'s operator to handle the weapons on his device even in the darkest conditions.
Slider Arms (s): the S.L.A.M. is equipped with four powerful hydraulic support arms, which can lock into place and allow the vehicle to fire full-bore despite its relatively small size. Dislodging the S.L.A.M. from its slider arms and 'dug-in' feet requires a Strength of 14.
