Equipment:
Axe (s): Gabriel always has his axe handy, since you never know when you're going to have to cut your way in - or out of - a place. He can use this large edged weapon to inflict his Strength +3 damage, or cut through items of up to material strength 13.
Foam Cannon (i): whenever he sees a fire, Gabriel can easily put it out with this device. Fueled by a large back pack, this small gun can spray fire-retardant foam that can cut the intensity of flames with intensity 10 ability - enough to douse most fires on contact.
Protective Suit (s): since his job description often has him hip deep in burning material, Gabriel usually wears this suit while on the job. This multi-hued padded uniform offers him +5 resistance to fire and heat attacks, and has an air filter of intensity 10 effectiveness.
Hindrances:
(none)
Skills:
Axes (s): though most fire fighters know how to wield an axe effectively, Gabriel has evolved his use of such implements into an art form. When attacking a person, place or thing with his fire axe, Gabriel may do so at a reduced difficulty, even when throwing it!
Boxing (s): an essential skill given to him by the military, this talent allows Gabriel to defend himself should he lose his axe (which he often throws at people). He may divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed attacks, the last of which occurs as a contingent action.
Marksmanship (a): though he rarely has cause to use them while on the job, Gabriel has been trained by the military in the use of most guns. Whether they be standard, semi automatic or fully automatic rifles or pistols, Gabriel may wield them at a reduced difficulty.
Military / United States (w): though he wasn't originally military minded, Gabriel was recruited by very persuasive men to use his skills against the forces of evil in a direct fashion. As such, he's well versed in the Army Way (or in other words, the S.O.P.).
Calling:
Thrill Seeker: Gabriel isn't a fire fighter because of a sense of duty or because it's in the family history; no, he does so because he likes the wind on his face while riding a fire truck, the sound of the sirens, and of course the ability to smash things with his axe!
Costume:
When in action with Slaughter's Marauders, Gabriel typically wears his fire retardant suit. It is a thick, blue, green and brown striped insulated suit, with big black boots, a black belt, a black air filter on his chest, blue shoulder pads, black gloves, and a big blue helmet to protect his air on the job.
Personality:
Gabriel is something of a party animal, and has demonstrated the ability to do rather impressive (and completely reckless) things with his body for the amusement of others. He tends to get along well with others, thanks to both his sense of humor and ability to entertain people easily.

Story:
Gabriel is the seventh in a line of Boston fire fighters, and would have joined the local fire department if he hadn't got the itch to join the military instead. Persuaded to sign up by clever recruiters, Gabriel was shunted into the Army in no time flat - and wound up fighting fires anyway.
Gabriel was so good at his job, in fact, that when the Gi Joe team decided it needed a fire fighter, he was one of the first people the team's recruiters looked at. Once they made sure he had what it takes, they got him on the team just in time to participate in one of its most infamous actions.
While investigating Cobra activity in the Gulf of Mexico, Gabriel was assigned to the Tactical Battle Platform, placed on the site of an abandoned oil rig. While looking into what Cobra was doing there, Gabriel and company were attacked by a wave of Cobra Hydrofoils.
Though they won, the platform was trashed in the process, as was the Gi Jane, the team's freighter craft. Luckily for Gabriel, the U.S.S. Flagg was standing by to rescue him and his new team mates from drowning at sea. Not out of the fight, Gabriel was there for the next stage of the fight.
When Cobra tricked the team into causing an explosion loud enough to trigger a fault line and raise a chunk of land in the Gulf, Gabriel was one of many Joes that tried to push Cobra off the island before their lawyers could have it declared a sovereign nation, but they were just moments too slow.
Defeated, the Joes retreated and began a more covert string of actions against the terrorists despite their having gained 'legitimacy' in the eyes of the world. Gabriel was on hand for several of these missions, usually as a member of one of Gi Joe's special missions groups.
He served with distinction until the team's first deactivation in 1994, eventually returning to the Boston fire department to use his skills to help others. Of course, when Cobra activity would flare up again, it fell on the Joes to reassemble and take those terrorists down.
And naturally, Gabriel was more than happy to do his part!
