Origin:
Lynton Felix is like most of his fellow Gi Joe operatives in that he lacks super human powers of any variety. He wields no highly advanced equipment not of United States Government issue, has no mysterious legacy hanging over his family tree, and isn't a potent psi - he just fights the forces of evil with his fists and machine gun.
Known Powers:
(none)
Equipment:
Helmet: Lynton's helmet actually serves two purposes. It offers him defense against head injuries, providing him Good (10) protection from physical attacks that strike him in that location, and also has a nifty visor that polarizes his vision, giving him a +1 CS to spot enemy targets in dim lighting conditions.
Knife: all paratroopers carry a knife on them while heading into action - you never know when you'll need to cut yourself loose from you parachute, after all. Made from Incredible (40) m.s. materials, Lynton can use this tool to cut through items of like m.s., or to inflict Edged Attack damage in melee combat.
M-16 Machine Gun: his principal weapon, Lynton can use this rifle to potent effect in combat. He may fire it to inflict Typical (6) Shooting damage with a single shot, Good (10) Shooting damage in a short, controlled burst of fire, or Excellent (20) Shooting damage in a full-auto, 'rock and roll' blast of imminent pain.
Parachute: naturally useful when leaping out of an airplane (whether it's going to crash or just making a mid-air drop), Lynton obviously needs one of these when doing the whole paratrooper thing. This item allows him to exit a flying vehicle from extreme heights and easily land on the ground without flattening himself.
Semi-automatic Pistols: Lynton carries two of these weapons with him into battle, in the event his main gun is either unavailable or inconvenient at a given moment. He can fire these hand cannons to inflict Typical (6) Shooting damage in a single shot, or Good (10) Shooting damage in a semi-auto, clip-burning spread of lead.
Quirks:
(none)
Talents:
Guns: a part of his Army basic training, Lynton can use almost all conventional firearms with proficiency. Whether he's toting standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifles or pistols, regardless of their nation of origin, Lynton may fire such weapons as though his Agility was +1 CS higher than is listed above.
Leadership: Lynton was chosen to assemble and lead the Sky Patrol due to his considerable leadership skills. In addition to allowing him to easily plan good strategies both before and during a firefight, this talent allows him to add fifty 'free' Karma points to any Karma pool that he is a member of if he's in 'charge' at the time.
Martial Arts type B: another facet of his Army basic training, this talent describes Lynton's ability to defend himself should he suddenly find himself unarmed. He may attempt any unarmed melee strikes, from punching to kicking to elbow smashing, as though his Fighting score was +1 CS higher than is indicated above.
Military / United States: the source of Lynton's many and varied skills, this talent serves as a handy origin for the man and his capabilities. Lynton's Army training has given him an inherent understanding of military policies and procedures (you know, the S.O.P.), in addition to additional, currently unstated military contacts.
Survival: as one of the Army's elite Rangers, Lynton can usually get by just about anywhere, without any handy food or supplies or... anything really. No matter how horrible a situation he finds himself in, Lynton can typically scrounge up enough food, water and shelter to survive - the man actually enjoys eating snakes and water bugs!
Contacts:
As a member of the Gi Joe team and leader of the Sky Patrol, Lynton can readily rely upon his fellow Joes for assistance in a pinch, whether or not they're on his special anti-Python Patrol squad. Furthermore, Lynton has the benefit of several additional, as of yet unstated contacts of a military nature - mostly picked up in Basic.
Costume:
When working with the Joes, Lynton wears a simple skydiving uniform. It includes a deep blue jacket, deep blue trousers, dark gray leather boots and gloves, a white knife sheath around his lower right leg, a white holster around his left thigh for one of his guns, and silver webbing that holds some gear, and that he can strap a parachute onto.
Personality:
Lynton is a strong man both physically and mentally, and truly enjoys the survivalist lifestyle of a Ranger out on the job. Known throughout the Army for his sheer toughness, he's spent years shaping the best Rangers the military has on staff, and is a born leader - probably one reason he's risen as high in the ranks as he has.

Story:
Lynton is the quintessential Ranger. He's been in the Army all of his adult life, and has enjoyed just about every minute of it. The man loves nothing more than to go on a twenty mile march and then drop himself into the wilds with nothing to eat but whatever he can manage to scrounge up.
In addition to this, he's spent ten years on staff at the Ranger School in Fort Benning, and has earned a very specific reputation for being the toughest NCO in the program. He tends to train his men as hard as he possibly can, in order to prepare them for virtually anything they'll encounter in the field.
His tendency to 'train hard and fight easy' is what got him noticed by the Gi Joe bigwigs. Needing to produce a special team to take on the threat posed by Cobra's Python Patrol, they recruited him to put them together and, picking the best folks he could find, Lynton did just that in short order.
Calling them the Sky Patrol, Lynton assembled five men to serve under him, all of which became Gi Joes in their own right (once they managed to make their way through the grueling entrance exam). With Airborne 2, Airwave, Altitude, Drop Zone, and Static Line, he fights the good fight against Cobra's Pythons.
Matching them move for move, he had a small arsenal of Joe and captured Cobra vehicles fitted with an experimental chromium stealth technology, which allows them to rapidly get anywhere necessary on a mission with the same radar invisibility that the Patrol enjoys. Not that they really need it.
Their true capabilities lie in their individual skills, after all. Lynton and his team performed a variety of missions against the Python Patrol, almost all of which were highly classified. They performed these so-called 'Special Missions' against they Python Patrol until they were no longer needed.
Soon after, the Gi Joe team went through various periods of inactivity, depending on Cobra actions world wide. Though not active at this point, Lynton has made himself available should the team require his assistance, as they often do when Cobra activities get out of control.
Such as when they triggered none other than World War III, and almost took over the entire world in one fell swoop.
