Equipment:

Chest Gun (a): his primary weapon, Wallace can use this odd, crescent-shaped weapon to potent effect in combat. He may fire it to inflict his Agility +4 damage with a single shot, +5 damage in a short, controlled burst of fire, or +6 damage in a full-auto, 'rock and roll' blast of imminent pain.

Helmet (s): Wallace's helmet actually serves two purposes. It offers him defense against head injuries, providing him +2 protection from physical attacks that strike him in that location, and also has a nifty black visor that protects his vision, giving him like protection from light-based attacks.

Knife (s): all paratroopers carry a knife on them while heading into action - you never know when you'll need to cut yourself loose from you parachute, after all. Made from m.s. 12 materials, Wallace can use this tool to cut through items of like m.s., or to inflict his Strength +2 damage in melee combat.

Parachute (a): naturally useful when leaping out of an airplane (whether it's going to crash or just making a mid-air drop), Wallace obviously needs one of these when doing the whole paratrooper thing. This item allows him to exit a flying vehicle from extreme heights and easily land on the ground without flattening himself.

Semi-automatic Pistol (a): holstered on his right leg, this weapon is a convenient backup in the event that things don't go as planned, and Wallace doesn't have his chest gun handy. He can fire this piece to inflict his Agility +4 damage in a single shot, or +5 damage in a semi-auto spread.

Hindrances:

(none)

Skills:

Boxing (s): another facet of his Army basic training, this talent describes Wallace's ability to defend himself should he suddenly find himself unarmed. He may divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee attacks, the last of which occurs as a contingent action.

Demolitions (a): his primary military specialty, this skill involves a keen understanding of explosives and their use in and out of combat. Of course, Wallace is usually intent on deactivating them instead of blowing things up; he makes actions to this effect at a reduced difficulty.

Marksmanship (a): a part of his Army basic training, Wallace can use almost all conventional firearms with proficiency. Whether he's toting standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifles or pistols, regardless of their nation of origin, Wallace may fire such weapons at one difficulty level lower than is usually necessary.

Military / United States (w): the source of Wallace's many and varied talents, this skill serves as a handy origin for the man and his capabilities. Wallace's Army training has given him an inherent understanding of military policies and procedures (you know, the S.O.P.), in addition to actually giving him a paycheck.

Repair (a): Wallace's secondary military specialty, this talent represents his ability to effectively perform maintenance and repair work on aircraft - handy when you jump out of them for a living. He makes actions to repair or maintain aircraft (or other vehicles) at a reduced difficulty.

Calling:

Soldier: Wallace is a good representative of the 'soldier' calling in that he's not a mindless drone, so much as a man who's simply trying to perform to the best of his ability. He relishes each new mission as it's another opportunity to prove himself to his team mates and to expand his skill set.

Costume:

When active in the field, Wallace wears a uniform designed (hopefully) to be hard to see while he's in the air. It includes a blue and silver, long sleeved jacket, white trousers, blue boots, gray leather gloves, black leather belts and holsters, and of course his silver and black visored helmet.

Personality:

Wallace has a very fine eye for detail, but then that's the sort of habit you pick up when you work with explosives for a living. He has a tendency to scan the entire area in front of him before he takes a single step - anywhere - which makes him seem able to find odd valuables no one else could see.

Story:

Wallace has made a name for himself in the military, having become quite expert at demolitions. Oh sure, they've got a lot of guys who are good at blowing things to bits, but Wallace has shown that he excels in keeping things from exploding to begin with - a knack that comes in handy during more covert operations.

He's also good at keeping aircraft in the air, his secondary specialty being in aircraft maintenance. This particular combination is what ultimately earned Wallace consideration for membership in the Gi Joe team; you see, they were in the process of assembling a special team that could use his skills.

Once he managed to make his way through their grueling entrance exams, Wallace was indeed made a member of the team, and placed on their Sky Patrol sub-group. This team was designed to act as a counterpart to Cobra's Python Patrol, and would wield its own stealth technology as a result.

Most of this was used on refurbished, older vehicles from both the Joe arsenal and that which was captured on raids of Cobra arsenals. Most of these vehicles flew or had flying components, which meant that when he wasn't knee-deep in enemy brush, Wallace was called upon to keep this gear in tip top shape.

Not that he minded in the slightest; it kept him busy, after all - and allowed him to wield his skills to maximum effect against the threats to freedom that Cobra represents. In fact, he continued on in this capacity full time until the Sky Patrol - along with the Gi Joe team, were deactivated in 1994.

After that, the team was active intermittently, usually when Cobra activity rose to the forefront of global intelligence again. When this would occur, and the team needed him, Wallace was more than happy to rejoin them on fresh new missions to keep Cobra from taking over the world, like they almost did during World War III...
