Equipment:

Fire-Resistant Suit (s): Tom-Henry always dons this suit while he's on the job, for he's intimately aware of the effects of fire and heat. Primarily, this bulky, multi-layered suit provides the man +8 protection from both fire and heat damage.

The suit also offers Tom-Henry several additional benefits. It has a full face mask and respirator / air filter, providing intensity 10 filtration of ambient air (versus smoke and other particulate matter), and the helmet offers him +3 protection from head-based attacks.

Flamethrower (i): yes, the Ice Cream Soldier wields a flame thrower - imagine that? Tom-Henry can fire this deadly weapon to inflict intensity 11 fiery damage per horrifying jet, though it works at -1 if covering a wide area with its fiery gel.

Incendiary Grenades (i): because sometimes two distinct flamethrowers just aren't enough, Tom-Henry carries three incendiary grenades as well. These detonate to inflict intensity 10 fiery damage to all uncovered targets within near missile distance of their detonation point.

the Joe-Com (i): this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with various other goodies built in to help a soldier on the go, and is described in greater detail in its own equipment entry.

Knife (s): in the event that he has to cut something in the field, Tom-Henry always has a blade handy. He can wield this weapon to inflict his Strength +2 damage in melee, though he can also use it to cut through items of up to m.s. 12 (though this may take a while).

Machine Gun (a): Tom-Henry isn't always immolating the forces of Cobra - even if he would prefer to. No, the man often makes use of a machine gun instead. He can fire this to inflict his Agility +4 damage in a single shot, +5 in a short burst, and +6 rock 'n roll.

Missile Launcher (i): Tom-Henry considers this his big gun. This device has a flamethrower attached to the bottom (per the above), and fires missiles that inflict intensity 10 damage to all uncovered targets within near missile range of where they hit.

Semi-automatic Pistol (a): a back-up should all his other weaponry fail him somehow, Tom-Henry always has this piece ready in a convenient holster. He can fire this weapon to inflict his Agility +4 damage in a single shot, raised to +5 in a small, semi-auto spread.

Hindrances:

(none)

Skills:

Artillery (a): the skill he brings to the Gi Joe table, Tom-Henry is good with unusual weaponry. Whether it fires in a short ballistic arc (like a burning jet of napalm) or a longer one (mortars and the like), Tom-Henry can wield it at a reduced difficulty.

Boxing (s): a skill everyone learns in Basic Training, Tom-Henry can defend himself even without all his high tech gear to back him up. He can divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee attacks, the last of which occurs as a contingent action.

Marksmanship (a): though he wields flamethrowers as a general matter of course, it was important that Tom-Henry start out by learning the basics first. He can fire any standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifle or pistol at a reduced difficulty.

Military / United States (w): Tom-Henry is a proud military man - who else lets him crisp terrorists for fun and profit, after all? His military training allows him to function seamlessly in a martial environment, and he knows the S.O.P. like the back of his hand.

Calling:

Soldier, with a secondary calling of Demolisher: Tom-Henry doesn't burn things solely because he likes to destroy them - he does it because Uncle Sam tells him to. However, there's no denying that the man truly loves his job - maybe a bit more than he should...

Costume:

Tom-Henry's Gi Joe uniform is actually a flame-retardant suit! It is primarily neon orange in hue (further confusing Cobra operatives), though it's accented with yellow boots, gloves, webbing, and shoulder pads, a black belt, and has a large, neon orange helmet with a black visor.

Personality:

Tom-Henry likes it hot. Everything, really. He enjoys cooking up spicy barbecue and roasting terrorists with his flamethrower - it's all the same to him. Except that he can't eat the terrorists. Usually. But that's not the point - he's definitely a man of fiery action and temperament.

Story:

One of the very last members of the Gi Joe team to enlist in its original incarnation, Tom-Henry Ragan's life before he was absorbed into the Joes is something of a mystery. The man has demonstrated a fondness of fire and cooking, however; he's a master barecue chef, you know!

He extended his love of fire and heat into another occupation, learning how to wield fire for the military as a fire operations expert. His quirky personality and mastery of a rather unpredictable weapon got him noticed by the Gi Joe team recruiters, who had to have him.

Once he proved his mettle by making his way through the Gi Joe obstacle course and training exam, Tom-Henry was admitted onto the team, and managed to participate in a few missions before the team was shut down for a time - people though Cobra was a 'smaller threat' these days.

They were wrong. Only a few years later, the Gi Joe team was reassembled to deal with a vastly out of control Cobra organization, and while he wasn't one of the first to head back to the Joe team, Tom-Henry did so as soon as he was asked to.

He's participated in a lot of the Joes' major operations against this renewed Cobra threat, including action in the second Cobra Island Civil War, and fighting Cobra domestically, along with fellow Joe flamethrowers Blowtorch, Blast Off and Char Broil, during World War III.

With Cobra defeated (again), the Joes did not disassemble anew. No, they were kept on staff in order to round up all the members of Cobra who had escaped justice when their Commander went down in defeat. Tom-Henry presumably is one of the many Joes helping to hunt those fugitives down...
