the Night Rhino
The Night Rhino is a refurbished Warthog, itself similar to the Gi Joe team's old A.P.C.s, in that it acts as a troop transport, but this mean green machine is about half the size, and has at least twice the offensive capability. The Night Rhino has these characteristics:
Amphibious Jet Propulsion System (a): the Night Rhino is built to function on land and water, making it truly an all-terrain vehicle. Thanks to a powerful water intake / output propulsion system, this heavy, bulky hunk of pig-iron can achieve intensity 1 speeds (15 m.p.h.) on the water - instead of sinking, at least.
Armored Hull (s): the Night Rhino's advanced hull is built to last. It is comprised of a welded, specially hardened aluminum frame, with impact diffusive foam inserts placed around personnel areas. This provides the Night Rhino a material strength of 14, and offers an additional +1 defense to its passengers on top of this.
Diversion Smoke Grenade Launchers (i): on the front of the Night Rhino are twelve (six on both the left and right sides) launchers that can fire a volley of smoke grenades to provide visual cover for the vehicle or its troops (when boarding or disembarking). This is intensity 10 visual obfuscation.
Lightning Speed (a): the Night Rhino is incredibly fast despite its rather large bulk, supported on two heavy duty treads and driven by a BOZ-29 800 HP twin-turbo diesel engine. This allows the Night Rhino to drive about at a maximum speed of 55 miles per hour, granting it this 'power' at intensity 4.
MK-29 Power-Operated 20mm Cannon (a): the driver of the Night Rhino is assisted by a gunner to ward off smaller, infantry-style opposition to its movements. The gunner can fire this gun to inflict damage per a +4 weapon in a small, controlled burst, or damage per a +5 weapon in a full-auto spread.
MGM-59 Lance Missiles (i): the Night Rhino's driver also has the assistance of a missile operator while on missions. This fellow can fire the Night Rhino's two surface to surface / surface to air, two stage, dual thrust liquid propellant missiles at a foe, missiles that inflict intensity 12 damage to whatever they strike.
Night Sight Infrared Driving Lights (i): the Night Rhino is equipped with two infra-red light emitting bulbs on the front, allowing it to drive (thanks to an infra-red camera on front) in night-time conditions as though it were producing intensity 8 illumination, illumination that's invisible to the naked eye.
Passengers: its primary function, when you get down to it, the Night Rhino is designed to carry quite a few people around in the field. In addition to its driver, it has seats for a machine gun operator, a missile operator, and of course a six-passenger troop bay. Of course, it can carry more folk in a pinch...
Tool Kits: the Night Rhino has plenty of accessories to help its many passengers out on a mission, hopefully to handle any normal contingency. It has digging tools in the event that the Night Rhino gets stuck, first aid kits in case its passengers are wounded, and handy fire extinguishing gear as well.
