Gi Joe: 2003 Personnel and Equipment
Personnel:
Agent Faces: the Joe team's veritable new spec ops man, Michelino is something of a master spy, a fellow who has natural talent that is backed up by impeccable covert Army training. He can disguise himself as virtually anybody he wishes to with but a few minutes of study... Agent Faces comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Airborne: born to exceptionally oil-rich parents, Franklin E Talltree grew up to enjoy jumping out of airplanes as a hobby - makes him feel alive. Though a law school graduate, Franklin wanted to perform his hobby for a living, so he joined the Army to become a paratrooper! Airborne comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Barrel Roll: Dwight E. Stall comes from a family with a long tradition of military service. He is the first of three siblings to complete the Gi Joe training course, and has proven to be the most capable Joe in his family (save where his brother Blackout beats him in sheer depravity). Barrel Roll comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Beach-Head: one of the hardest, meanest Rangers ever to come out of Fort Benning, Wayne is a perfect addition to the Gi Joe team, as his never-ending quest for personal perfection tends to rub off on others - even if it does so in a somewhat abrasive fashion...! Beach-Head comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Big Ben: an elite British S.A.S. soldier, David is just as competent as your average American Special Forces trooper. Though trained differently, he's just as good as his fellow Joes are in the eradication of Cobra forces, no matter what the nefarious terrorists are up to...! Big Ben comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Blowtorch: Timothy joined the Army in order to master what he felt was the most ancient form of combat - that which involved fire! Though he wields the stuff like a demon in battle, Timothy is probably the biggest proponent of fire safety on earth - since he knows what it can do. Blowtorch comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Dart: an expert woodsman since he was a child, Jimmy Tall Elk was also trained in the fine art of tracking even before he joined the Army. A qualified Airborne Ranger, Jimmy has earned a place on the Joe team as one of their best trackers, despite his hang-up about Cobra C.L.A.W.S...! Dart comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Depth Charge: Nick joined the Navy in order to get experience in explosives handling - which he did, and how! Of course, his particular job involves his setting such devices under the waves, which would be okay except for the fact that Nick simply loathes getting into the water... Depth Charge comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Double Clutch: after this Asbury Park gear-head decided to finally grow up somewhat, he enlisted in the army, eventually becoming an expert in vehicle to vehicle combat. After over a decade with the Joes, he's become their resident vehicular combat master, and a sort of anti-Dreadnok! Clutch comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Flint: joining the Army for the promise of adventure after he grew bored with the 'Groves of Academe', Dashiell used his innate smarts to excel in various areas of military expertise, and was recruited onto the Gi Joe team by an old acquaintance of his, the one and only Duke! Flint comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Frostbite: born in crisp, cool Galena, Alaska, Frostbite grew up dealing with the dread of winter on a daily basis. This taught him how to easily do his job under such conditions, no matter what it may be, which has helped him as both an Alaskan Pipeline techie and a Joe operative! Frostbite comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Grunt: after his enthusiasm helped him to graduate near the top of his class in his Advanced Infantry Training, Robert made quite a name for himself as an expert soldier in general. As such, he made the cut for the original Gi Joe team, and returns from time to time to help them out. Grunt comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Gung-Ho: one of the roughest and gruffest folk you'll ever meet, Ettienne was born and raised in a swamp. After joining the Marines, he proved himself time and time again, and has shown the same level of achievement as a long-standing member of the Gi Joe team! Gung-Ho comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Hacker: Jesse E. Jordan was formerly a military mainframe technician when he decided to earn a place on the Gi Joe team by demonstrating his hacking skills to Hawk himself. The Joe's leader then put Jesse to work in information retrieval... out in the field! Availability:
Heavy Duty: possessing keen hand-eye coordination, the ability to multitask, veritable ambidexterity, and of course a perfectionist's attention to detail, Heavy Duty is comfortable whether he's composing music or firing his Browning .50 at Cobras - and is equally good at both! Heavy Duty comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Hollow Point: a former Range Officer Course instructor, Max Corey had retired from the service. However, after demonstrating his unflinching heroism by rescuing several children from a pack of escaped safari park lions, he was recruted onto the Gi Joe team! Availability:
Kamakura: the apprentice of Snake-eyes, Kamakura is in fact Sean Collins, the adopted son of Vietnam veteran (and former Crimson Guardsman) Wade Collins. Sean fights hard to prove himself, both in the eyes of his father and of course his fellows in the Arashikage ninja clan! Kamakura comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Lady Jaye: a competent actress even before she was recruited by the U.S. Army, Alison became a master of espionage with the tutelage of Army master intelligence operatives. She's also a master of several obscure weapons, a master linguist, and a competent pilot! Lady Jaye comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Leatherneck: Wendell has a long history in the Marines - he's about as intense a 'Jar Head' as you can get. He's so hard core that he attracted the attention of the Joe team, who snapped him up as soon as they could, and put him to work against the forces of Cobra immediately. Leatherneck comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Mirage: exceptionally proficient with line-of-sight weaponry, Joseph was recruited onto the Gi Joe team, and then into their elite Mega Marines sub-unit, in order to fight Cobra's freak-show genetic experiments - a fight that continues to this very day, it would seem...!! Mirage comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Rampage: Walter A. McDaniel was a close friend of Beach-Head's in both Basic training and in his Ranger detachment. He is also a veritable demon behind the wheel, which is why Beach-Head recommended him as an operator of the Gi Joe Split Fire! Availability:
Recondo: growing up to hate Wisconsin's cold winters, young Daniel wanted to explore the deepest African jungles as a child - and grew up to do just that. Both on and off the Joe team, Daniel has become an expert in jungle combat - and many other disciplines! Availability:
Red Spot: fascinated with lasers ever since he was nine years old, Michael P. Ritchie left Cincinnati to join the military, and turn his love of directed energy devices into a marketable skill. He has since done so, and was recruited onto the Gi Joe team as one of its laser troopers! Red Spot comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Rip Cord: having joined the Army in order to have better opportunities to jump out of airplanes, Wallace found he was very good at the whole military thing, and became an expert H.A.L.O. jumper as a result. This, of course, led to his roller-coaster career as a Gi Joe operative...! Rip Cord comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Scarlett: having trained as a martial artist since she was nine years old, and then being put through more 'dirty tricks' training in the Army, Shana makes for an excellent Joe. Her combat prowess and ability to gain intelligence on Cobra operations is second to none! Scarlett comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Slipstream: computer hacker and video game addict extraordinare, Gregory also developed a love of flying as a youth. As airplanes became more computerized, this only helped Gregory, as all of his loves converged into a single whole, and he proved more than adept with most futuristic aircraft. Slipstream comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Snake-Eyes: a singularly mysterious man, the commando known only as Snake-Eyes has experienced nothing but tragedy in his life. However, he's persevered through the years, and become a true force to be reckoned with - as would any other patriotic ninja master! Snake-Eyes comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Switch Gears: incredibly strong in both mind and body, Jerome is a perfect addition to the Gi Joe team. Skilled enough to obliterate opponents with a tank or sneak into their headquarters to grab new intelligence, this tenacious guy is a force to be reckoned with! Switch Gears comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Torpedo: a diving instructor and triple black belt before enlisting, Edward made his way through the Navy with ease, and became a full-fledged S.E.A.L. in no time. As the Joe team's first Navy representative, Edward went out of his way to prove himself - as his performance shows. Torpedo comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Tunnel Rat: after being raised on the rather surly streets of Brooklyn back in the day, Nicky grew up to be tough, indomitable, and somewhat jaded. Always looking for a good challenge, he's more than ready to climb into nasty Cobra tunnels to ferret out the bad guys! Tunnel Rat comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Wet-Suit: loud, arrogant, and seething with attitude, Brian basically forced his way through Navy basic, and even his S.E.A.L. training. He then performed his saboteur duties with a gleeful passion, which got him a job on the Joe team - his destructive joy made him very good at his job! Wet-Suit comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Wide Scope: Larry K. Kranseler is Wide Scope, one of the Gi Joe team's few S.W.A.T. and urban combat specialists. Despite the harrowing nature of Wide Scope's job, the man is unflappable, and only ever gets riled up when someone teases his dog, Lamont! Availability:
Night Force:
Cross Hair: a master sniper with eerily good vision, Don is also unnaturally silent at times. He's good at creeping up on a body no matter where he happens to be hiding - a trait he seems to apply equally well to both Cobra goons and while playing pranks on his fellow Joes... Cross Hair comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Duke: before being recruited onto the Joe team, Conrad had a history of working in Special Ops, and brought that sneaky expertise to the team as its field leader. Second only to Hawk in the team's leadership, Duke has consistently led the Joes to victory against Cobra over the years! Duke comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Nunchuk: originally a student of the mysterious Blind Master, Ralph eventually came under the tutelage of Storm Shadow himself after his first sensei vanished, well, mysteriously. Soon after, he was skilled enough to join the Gi Joe team, as a part of their Ninja Force! Nunchuk comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Tiger Force:
Big Brawler: with his dual specialty in Army intelligence and jungle survival, Brian proved more than effective at rooting out jungle-based terrorists. This made him an excellent fit for the Gi Joe team, as Cobra has a tendency to hide their bases in the thickest, nastiest jungles they can find! Big Brawler comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Dial-Tone: an electronics whiz and ham radio expert before he got out of high school, Jack enlisted in the Army to further his knowledge - but found the military life an end unto itself. His sheer joy in working with his hobby helped him excel - and become the best R.T.O. out there! Dial-Tone comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Jinx: a member of the Arashikage family, Kimi naturally became a member of the associated ninja clan. Having also done work for the C.I.A. and the United States Army in the past, it was a shoe-in that she receive an invitation onto the elite Gi Joe team - which she is a powerful addition to! Jinx comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Roadblock: aspiring to be one of the world's greatest chefs since he was a child, Marvin put himself through the Escoffier School in France - and then joined the Army to learn from their chefs. Little did anybody know he'd become one heck of a heavy machine gunner, too! Roadblock comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Stalker: though he started out as an urban warlord in Detroit, Lonzo cleaned up his act and joined the Army, only to become one of its very best operatives - and one of the first Joes. A qualified Ranger, helicopter pilot, and field medic, Lonzo is an invaluable Gi Joe operative! Stalker comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Wild Bill: William Hardy is one of the single most friendly people you'll ever meet, not to mention the greatest helicopter pilot you're likely to ever know. He's crashed more aircraft than most pilots actually fly, but then he's also seen more combat than them, as well...! Wild Bill comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Wreckage: explosives expert and jungle warfare master, Dillon L. Moreno has trained countless Army operatives in a variety of combat techniques over the years. As a Gi Joe Tiger Force team member, he brings his expertise to many anti-Cobra operations! Availability:

the A.W.E. Striker: a small, lightweight vehicle, this urban camo, off-road marvel is a combat vehicle the Gi Joe team adopted in '85. Weighing in at 2.8 tons and armed with a powerful, recoil-less rifle, the A.W.E. Striker can get almost anywhere in a jiffy to offer the Joes fire support! The A.W.E Striker comes in Classic and Saga styles!
The Battle Blitz: a six wheeled, all-terrain vehicle with a large vertical profile, the Battle Blitz is one of the Joe team's 'Spy Troops' vehicles with a built in surprise - this being a built-in 'land luge' launcher a Joe can ride at incredible speeds! Availability:
the Conquest X-30: a highly advanced, foward-swept wing aircraft, the Conquest X-30 is one of those aeronautical marvels that shouldn't technically fly - but manages to do so thanks to highly advanced, computer-assisted control mechanisms, which let its pilot pull otherwise impossible maneuvers! The Conquest X-30 comes in Classic and Saga styles!
the Desert Coyote: to picture the Desert Coyote, picture a weaponized go-kart. Yes, the Gi Joe team made use of such a vehicle, armed and armored as much as is physically possible, in order to throw lightning raids into Cobra territory. It may be small but it packs a crazy punch! The Desert Coyote comes in Classic and Saga styles!
The Gun Station: the gun station is a small portable missile launching station the Gi Joe team can haul into an area and rapidly assemble, either on a transient or semi-permanent basis. It's useful against either enemy aircraft or fortifications! Availability:

the M.U.V.: the M.U.V., or Military Utility Vehicle, is an all-terrain vehicle that Gi Joe can use no matter how remote their location may be. This vehicle is heavily armed, and can take that firepower almost anywhere in the Pursuit of Cobra! Availability:
the Missile Storm Copter: built after the Gi Joe team reverse engineered the Mark 3 Cobra F.A.N.G., the Missile Storm Copter has the same basic properties. It has slightly different weapons, but otherwise functions in the exact same fashion. Availability:
the Mobile Command Center: simply huge, the M.C.C. is a three story tall tracked vehicle that the Gi Joe team can use as an on-the-go forward base in the never-ending war against terrorism fostered by Cobra. It has everything the Joes need to keep tabs on and counter their enemy with! the M.C.C. comes in Classic and Saga styles!
the Night Attack Chopper: the N.A.C. is a state of the art combat troop transport, having the ability to stealthily insert and extract operatives on missions. When stealth fails it, though, the N.A.C. makes up for that failure with sheer, overwhelming firepower...! the Night Attack Chopper comes in Classic and Saga styles!
the Patriot Grizzly: a massive tank that is the latest in a long time of Gi Joe artillery pieces, the Patriot Grizzly is a powerful ground weapon used in more standardized combat against the legions of Cobra terrorists, assassins and genetically engineered freaks. Availability:
the Road Rebel: a small device, the Road Rebel is a tracked, all-terrain ride which is basically a vehicle with which to carry an oversized missile launcher into whatever position is required. It's also armed with a flamethrower, for anti-personnel action! Availability:
the Sky Sweeper Jet: something of a miniature stealth bomber, the Sky Sweeper Jet is a small, flying-wing style aircraft built for stealth. Instead of dropping bombs however, it can deploy a micro-jet with Cobra markings in order to infiltrate its air force! Availability:
the Smoke Screen Transport: the aptly named Smoke Screen Transport looks like a combat truck, but is in fact a delivery mechanism for a small, vectored thrust spy craft that it houses. When in position, its drivers can launch the craft to spy on Cobra! Availability:
the Snow Cat: the Snow Cat can traverse the nastiest of icy terrain thanks to its half track design, in even the coldest of Katabatic winds. Armed with surface to surface / air missiles and ground based 'ski torpedoes', the Snow Cat commands winter battles. Availability:
the Split Fire: essentially a weaponized pickup truck, the Split Fire is a sight to behold. It's as if someone crammed as much armament into one as is physically possible, while still retaining the available cargo space and mobility they're so famous for! Availability:
the Wave Crusher: a small clandestine craft used by the Gi Joe team (though mainly Depth Charge), the Wave Crusher is a water sled that can be converted into a Cobra jet ski, allowing its operator to sneak into the ranks of those terrorists without them realizing it. The Wave Crusher comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Built To Rule (B.T.R.):
the Armadillo Assault: a somewhat large ride, the Armadillo Assault is built tough. It can be configured as an armored carrier or a dune buggy depending on the Joes' needs, and comes equipped with a one-man scout craft - making it its own air support! Availability:
the Depth Ray: a curious example of engineering even for the B.T.R. line of vehicles, the Depth Ray can function as either a submarine or a dune buggy. This allows Wet-Suit (or whoever else drives the thing) to attack a Cobra foe almost anywhere on earth! Availability:
the Forest Fox: this medium-sized B.T.R. device may either take the form of a Jeep ™ or a Transport, depending on the Joes' needs at a given moment. For something its size, the Forest Fox has an insane amount of armaments at its disposal...! Availability:
the Locust: the third version of the Gi Joe Locust, this tiny, one-man vehicle can be configured in one of two separate ways. Its modular B.T.R. technology lets the operator of the Locust (usually Hollow Point) use it as a helicopter or a swamp buggy! Availability:
the Raging Typhoon: this marvel of modern engineering is a hovercraft which is armed to the teeth! Of course, when necessary the Joes can rebuild it as not one, not two, but four separate vehicles, allowing them to battle Cobra anywhere on earth! Availability:
the Rock Crusher: this diminutive B.T.R. vehicle can be configured to resemble two other Joe vehicles currently in operation. It can be assembled in either an assault quad or land luge mode, and may readily be switched between the two fast due to its size! Availability:
