the Smoke Screen Transport

Like the Split Fire, the Smoke Screen Transport is a truck-like vehicle. Unlike the Split Fire, however, the Smoke Screen Transport isn't jam packed with weaponry. More than anything else, it mostly serves as a transport and launch station for a flying spy craft.

This curious vehicle has these characteristics:

Handling
RV 10
Velocity
RV 20
Durability
RV 20
Protection
RV 10

Body Armor: the frame of the Smoke Screen Transport is built tough. It possesses an effective m.v. of 20, which only offers its cab's occupants -1 RS protection from attack. Those hanging onto the side of the Smoke Screen Transport do not benefit from any vehicular defense.

Communications Array: the Smoke Screen is equipped with a gigahertz frequency, frequency wobbler clandestine operations radio system, allowing for constant team communications. This provides rank value 20 comm power (a 100 mile range) with rank value 30 signal encryption.

Headlights: the front of the Smoke Screen Transport is equipped with several xenon lamps with which to see by. Overall, the Smoke Screen Transport can pump out rank value 20 illumination, enough to fill a sector at night or blind foes in a surprise attack.

Machine Gun: the Smoke Screen Transport has a swivel-mount machine gun on its passenger side - though one cannot effectively fire it unless they are standing on the running boards outside the passenger door. The passenger himself can fire his own weapon through the cab's roof access.

This large firearm can be used to inflict rank value 10 Piercing damage in a single shot, rank value 20 Piercing damage in a short burst, or rank value 30 Piercing damage in a continuous stream of fire. Bear in mind that its operator does not benefit from the vehicle's Protection rating.

Missile Launchers: the two missile launchers on the Smoke Screen Transport are actually mounted on its spy craft; it cannot use them while that vehicle is not stowed in its transport bay. The missiles it can fire inflict +1 RS damage if both are used simultaneously:

Handling
RV 20
Velocity
RV 50
Durability
RV 20
Damage
RV 30 Slashing (fragmentary)

Passengers: the Smoke Screen Transport can hold a bunch of Joes. In addition to its driver, the cab has room for another occupant, though he must stand and partially expose himself to fire any weapon. The Smoke Screen also has running boards on each side.

Spy Craft: the main feature of the Smoke Screen Transport is the spy craft that it, well, transports. This small, vectored thrust vehicle is a one-seater spy craft that holds the Smoke Screen's missile launchers, and has these capabilities:

Handling
RV 20
Velocity
RV 20
Durability
RV 10
Protection
RV 4

* Flight: the whole point of the spy craft is that it is a flying vehicle. It can flit about in the air, thanks to its twin lift-generating fans, at around one hundred and thirty six and a third miles per hour. This translates into rank value 20 flight.
