the Rising Tide

This second generation B.T.R. (Built To Rule) vehicle is one of Barrel Roll's favorites - but then, his first Gi Joe ride could serve in two different configurations as well. It mainly serves as a high speed attack boat, vaguely resembling the old Devilfish.

However, one can tear it apart and reassemble it in the form of a jet glider if the need arises, taking to the air in order to fight Cobra - or to simply get somewhere much faster. In either configuration, the Rising Tide has these equipped features:

Autocannons (a): in either mode, the Rising Tide has access to two rotary-barrel machine guns. These guns are linked, and can fire a short burst of lead to inflict the operator's Agility +6 damage, raised to +7 if the vehicle's operators fire a continuous stream of ammunition.

Body Armor (s): both configurations of the Rising Tide are relatively flimsy - but then, it's a modular, pre-fab boat / aircraft! While constructed from m.s. 10 materials, the Rising Tide only has an effective m.s. of 6 - and offers its occupant only +1 protection.

Communications Array (i): the Rising Tide is equipped with a gigahertz frequency, frequency wobbler clandestine operations radio system, allowing for constant team communications. This provides intensity 5 comm power (a 100 mile range) with intensity 10 signal encryption.

Flight (a): when transformed via the magic of the Allen wrench into a jet glider, the Rising Tide has the ability to soar through the air under its own power. In this mode, the vehicle can fly with intensity 6 speed, doing so at 225 miles per hour!

Missile Launcher (i): there is but one missile launcher allotted to the Rising Tide - but it sees equal use in either of its two configurations. This powerful projectile launcher can fire missiles which each can inflict intensity 11 damage upon impact.

Shape Change (a): the Rising Tide can serve as one of two different vehicles - either an attack boat or a jet glider! It can be reconfigured in the field in just a few minutes, allowing the Gi Joe team considerable versatility with just one box of parts!

Swimming (a): in its attack boat configuration, the Rising Tide has buoyancy, and can glide on the waves with exceptional speed. It has intensity 2 velocity in this mode, moving at 45 miles per hour on calm water, but 30 miles per hour on choppier seas and rivers.
