Equipment:
the Joe-Com (i): this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with various other goodies built in to help a soldier on the go, and is described in greater detail in its own equipment entry.
Machine Gun (a): her primary personal offensive weapon, Alyssa can use this implement to inflict devastating damage on enemy personnel. Alyssa can fire it to inflict her Agility +5 damage in a short burst, raising this to her Agility +6 damage if she opens up full auto.
Radio (i): helping her perform her job as a forward air controller, this equipment has much better range than her Joe-Com. Working at intensity 8, it allows Alyssa a 2,500 mile radio transceiver range, and is equipped with intensity 10 signal encryption.
Semi-automatic Pistol (a): her back-up piece, Alyssa can use this weapon when her primary is either impractical or disabled. It can be fired to inflict Alyssa's Agility +4 damage in a single shot, raised to Alyssa's Agility +5 damage in a short, controlled burst.
Hindrances:
(none)
Skills:
Artillery (a): Alyssa has been trained in the fine art of line of sight weaponry, able to calculate trajectories and do three dimensional math in her head. This gives her a reduced difficulty when using mortars, rockets, or correctly pinpointing where aircraft should drop ordnance.
Boxing (s): an essential talent she picked up during her basic training, this skill showcases Alyssa's ability to defend herself while unarmed. When doing so, she may divide her pre-cardplay action score by two, attempting the second attack as a contingent action.
Espionage (i): Alyssa's secondary military specialty involves counter-intelligence work. As such she has attended a variety of different schools to learn everything she needs, and gains a reduced difficulty whenever digging into mysteries or pumping others for information.
Marksmanship (a): a skill Alyssa picked up as a general matter of course, she can fire most standard weapons with ease. Whenever wielding a standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifle or pistol, Alyssa may do so at one difficulty level lower than is normally necessary.
Military / United States (w): as did her two brothers before her, Alyssa enlisted in the military. She has been very successful at it, and as such she can seamlessly integrate herself into almost any military structure, and knows the S.O.P. like the back of her hand.
Sports / Soccer (a): the one talent she picked up outside the military, this skill describes Alyssa's incredible skill at her passion - the game of soccer. She may reduce the difficulty of actions related to the game, whether playing it or in knowing soccer facts.
Calling:
Soldier, with a secondary calling of Vengeance: Alyssa is working hard both to prove herself and to do right by her country - and her dedication shows. Of course, she's also got quite a bone to pick with her brother, Blackout, over his dark deeds...
Costume:
Alyssa wears a simple, utilitarian Gi Joe uniform. It consists of a brown T shirt with the Gi Joe logo on the chest, two-toned, green camouflage trousers, gray boots, gloves and knee pads, overlapping gray belts, and a green backpack to hold her radio gear.
Personality:
Alyssa is a courageous and dedicated young woman, working hard to rise above her family history - which would be a proud one, save for her idiot brother, Blackout. She's very competitive, though knows where to draw the line - unless lives are at stake, that is.

Story:
Alyssa comes from a patriotic family that enjoys military service. Both of her brothers joined the Army - and both tried to become Gi Joe operatives. Alyssa followed in their stead, hoping to do as well as they did - but it turned out that Alyssa would do even better in some regards.
Though one of her brothers became the Joe known as Barrel Roll, the other washed out catastrophically, eventually becoming the Cobra operative Blackout. Hoping to be good enough to offset the damage Blackout caused the family name, Alyssa worked even harder to prove herself.
She did, and eventually made it onto the Gi Joe team as well. Working as a forward air controller, she is at the forefront of military action, calling down air strikes when necessary to support her team in the field. It was on one such operation that Alyssa came face to face with Trouble.
This trouble came in the form of her brother Blackout, who was manning a Cobra facility that Alyssa and her teammates were assaulting. When the smoke cleared, Alyssa had vanished without a trace, apparently abducted by Blackout for his own sinister purposes.
Though it took some time, Barrel Roll and several other Joes managed to liberate Alyssa before Blackout could do anything particularly slimy. Which may've been a good thing, because Alyssa would've likely taken Blackout apart if only given the smallest of chances.
Reunited with the Joes, Alyssa was subsequently 'deactivated' along with the rest of the team, when it reformed itself as a small group of special operations soldiers. Placed on reserve, she would only be used in the field when the Joe team needed her specialized skills.
There was only one documented case of this, during Cobra's attempt at world conquest during World War III, a conflict of Cobra's devising. When the Gi Joe team narrowly defeated this plan, Cobra Commander and several other leaders of Cobra were finally captured at long last.
As such, the Joes were ramped back up anew, working hard to capture all the terrorists of that group who managed to escape Justice. Naturally, Alyssa is at the forefront of this charge, having a very, very personal stake in bringing in Blackout and his jerky cohorts in Cobra...
