Powers:

Equipment:
Grenade (i): David always carries at least one grenade on him in the field, pinned to his vest. This explosive can be thrown to inflict intensity 10 damage, striking every un-covered target within near missile range of where it detonates.
the Joe-Com (i): this is a new device given to all Joes since the group's reactivation. This high-tech wristband functions as an audio/video transceiver with various other goodies built in to help a soldier on the go, and is described in greater detail in its own equipment entry.
Knife (s): you never know when you'll need to cut something on a mission - or somebody, for that matter. This knife, made from m.s. 12 metals, can be used in David's hands to inflict his Strength +2 damage (or cut through items of up to like m.s.).
Shotguns (a): David likes to make an impression on his enemies - and does with these two pistol-grip, assault shotguns. He can fire these weapons to inflict his Agility +5 damage in a 30 degree arc in front of his person - +6 when he fires both at once (!)
Hindrances:
(none)
Skills:
Artillery (a): his primary military specialty, David is an expert marksman. He's good with all weapons with a 'line of sight' range, such as mortars and rocket launchers, and may wield such weaponry at one difficulty level lower than is usually required.
Boxing (s): David is a very powerful and fast fighter, both in and out of the ring. He may divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee attacks, the second of which will occur as a contingent action.
Contingent Attack (a): similarly, David may attack with two firearms simultaneously. He can either divide his pre-cardplay action score between two gun attacks, the last of which will occur as a contingent action, or fire two guns simultaneously for a damage bonus.
Marksmanship (a): a skill most military man learn by default, David has mastered the use of most modern firearms. Whether he's wielding a standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifle or pistol, David may do so at a reduced difficulty.
Military / United States (w): the source of most of David's talents, this skill acts as an origin of sorts for the man. It shows how he can easily function in a military environment, and details just how well he is aware of the Standard Operating Procedure.
Wrestling (s): David knows how to leverage his size and strength effectively. If he can pass a Strength (strength) action against a foe, he can put them in a wrestling hold. For every additional exchange that he can pass that action again, he'll inflict the same damage... until he lets go.
Calling:
Soldier, with a secondary calling of Demolisher: David enlisted in order to do something with his life - he was at a loss after the Olympics were denied him. Having a huge temper, it's sometimes hard for David to resist the urge to smash something. Or someone...
Costume:
David wears a simple, yet practical uniform while functioning as Major Barrage. It consists of a white tank top beneath a dark green, pocket-laden vest, green and brown, camouflage patterned trousers, brown leather boots, gray leather gloves, and a black leather belt.
Personality:
David is known to have a bad temper, and is more than happy to let his fists broadcast his emotions. He doesn't usually take his rage out on his teammates however (or else he wouldn't be a Major), but if he doesn't get to stomp some Cobras with some frequency, you never know...

Story:
David is a large and imposing fellow. Standing at six foot eight and weighing in at three hundred pounds, the man was a natural for his high school wrestling team. Of course nobody could touch him in the ring, and he went on to win championship after championship.
This went on throughout high school, and then in college, though David met his match (after a fashion) in the form of his rival, Jared Wade. This fellow is the only guy who has ever pinned David in a match - though the two were neck in neck in competitions.
Until David blew his knee out in a match with Jared - which prevented him from participating in the Olympic tryouts. Respect for the man turned into resentment, and since his Olympic hopes were dashed, David decided to enlist in the Army after college instead.
Proving himself time and time again, David was made a Major, and when his staggering ability both on and off the battle field became apparent, David was recruited onto the Gi Joe team. For someone of his size and stubbornness, getting through their entrance exams was easy.
Though even David had problems getting past the Gi Joe Obstacle Course.
Taking the code name Major Barrage, since he was, you know, a Major, David went on to prove his mettle with his newfound teammates. An artillery expert (hence the second half of his code name), David also helps the Joe team keep in tip top shape while not on missions.
He's a well-known sight to Joes and Cobras alike, who are almost used to seeing the behemoth of a man barreling into combat with naught but his twin shotguns to fight evil - and when they run out of ammunition, David's more than happy to simply pummel Cobras into submission!
Of course, there's one Joe that David not only does not get along with, but tends to actually fight with. You see, it turns out that his old enemy Jared managed to make the Gi Joe team as well, doing so in a part-time capacity as one of their Steel Brigadiers.
The two are not on good terms as you can guess, and brawl as often as not. But they put their differences aside when Cobra's up to no good. And even though Cobra has been routed, they can work together to help round up those members of that group who have evaded capture to date.
Though they may not like doing so...
