the V.A.M.P., Mark 1
The Vehicle Attack / Multi-Purpose combat vehicle, or V.A.M.P. as it is affectionately known, is a truly all-terrain, jeep-like assault weapon. This heavily armed vehicle is effectively of material strength 10, has a 550 mile maximum range, and seats a driver and passenger comfortably. It possesses these capabilities:
.50 Cal Machine Guns: these twin-mounted, swivel-based, computer-synchronized machine guns allow for an amazing amount of firepower, acting as +7 weapons (+8 full-auto) with each deadly burst. Furthermore, these twinned cannons can fire twenty bursts before they require an ammo reload.
7.62 Millimeter Machine Gun: this hood-mounted, front-aiming secondary gun isn't as versatile as the twin 50 cal cannons mounted on the rear of the V.A.M.P., but this assault rifle is still capable of acting as a +5 weapon with each strike, and can fire about ten bursts before a reload is required.
Communications Suite: the V.A.M.P. is equipped with a radio transceiver system, allowing the driver to send battle-field data to a central command, and then receive new orders in turn. This functions at intensity 5, allowing for a maximum range of 100 miles.
First Aid Kit: nestled within the outer wall of the passenger compartment on the mark 1 V.A.M.P. lies a fully stocked first aid kit, should the V.A.M.P.'s driver (or passengers) have a sudden need of emergency treatment. It has everything one needs to administer medical aid in the field.
Halogen Lamps: the V.A.M.P.'s headlights are quartz-halogen bulbs that can illuminate an area with intensity 10 ability. They are equipped with an electrical defrost capability, allowing them to cook ice and muck clean off of them in the event that this is necessary; this takes one exchange.
Lightning Speed: the V.A.M.P. has the ability to drive at intensity 6 speeds in off-road conditions (about 95 miles per hour), though this is reduced to intensity 3 (45 miles per hour) when its four wheel drive is activated. Of course, at this reduced rate of travel, the V.A.M.P. can go almost anywhere...
Passengers: the V.A.M.P., as an all-terrain combat vehicle, doesn't have all that much room for passengers. Inside, it can only hold the pilot and one passenger, though it is designed so that several folks can ride on top or hang onto the sides while it rides - this is tough in rough terrain, however...
Roll-Cage: while the V.A.M.P. doesn't actually offer it's driver or passenger (it seats two comfortably) any protection, in a game mechanics sense, its roll-cage allows for +2 protection from collision or incidental damage in the event that the V.A.M.P. experiences a roll or crash.
Self-Sealing Gas Cans: these bizarre gas cans have an intermediate layer between the gas and the can itself, a layer of material that immediately seals the can in the event that it is punctured (or shot), preventing a loss of fuel or explosion.
Specialty Tires: these extremely expensive tires are of the off-road, self-sealing variety, and can withstand up to ten points of damage before being disabled. Also, these are floatation tires, allowing the V.A.M.P. to even drive on water for short, short periods of time (about one full exchange) before it sinks.
Winch: this front-mounted, heavy-duty instrument allows the V.A.M.P. to pull any manner of vehicles, objects, or people around. It can effectively do this with a Strength score of 12, allowing it to move a maximum weight of one ton before the high tensile strength wire cable will snap.
