The Amphibious Personnel Carrier, or A.P.C., is a versatile vehicle that the Joe team uses when moving large amounts of troops to a trouble zone. It is a rather large, ten ton troop transport, and can carry (including the driver and such) about thirty people within. The A.P.C. is possessed of these vehicular statistics, and has these special features:

Amphibious Capabilities: the A.P.C. is a fully functional vehicle whether it finds itself on the ground or on the water. It can move about on either surface at approximately thirty five miles per hour, whether it be fully loaded or not. The A.P.C. can maintain buoyancy with or without the floatation tires that assist its amphibious functions, though it moves in water at a -1 CS to its Control rating when doing so.

Armor Plating: the A.P.C. is covered by 1.5 inch thick armor plating, solid steel walls that are effective in deflecting all but the most powerful of shells and/or explosive devices. This armor essentially offers the A.P.C. Incredible (40) protection from attacks aimed at its frame, and -1 CS protection to everybody within (since the canopy itself is, actually, rather open to assault). This defense breaks down as follows:

First Aid / Repair / Road Tool Kits: the A.P.C. has several useful kits scattered around its frame, some mounted on the inside and some mounted on the exterior. Regardless, it has fully functional and fully loaded repair, first aid, and road tool kits available for personnel use; this allows them to either patch up the vehicle or themselves, or make emergency modifications to the road ahead of them.

Recoil-less Automatic Cannon: sources vary as to whether this cannon is either a 50mm or 105mm implement of destruction, but the end result is basically the same. This top-mounted automatic gun fires shells capable of inflicting Remarkable (30) Armor Piercing Shooting (high explosive armor piercing rounds) per small burst, +1 CS in a full auto blast of doom. It can be loaded with up to 225 deadly rounds.

Self-Sealing Floatation Tires: the A.P.C.'s six heavy duty, all-terrain tires are equipped to assist the amphibious nature of the vehicle by maintaining its buoyancy; the A.P.C. can float with all six tires missing, but steering would be difficult. These tires can absorb up to a Remarkable (30) attack due to their self-sealing nature, only being rendered inert by more powerful assaults.

This new version of the A.P.C., which has been re-christened the Night Scrambler, is a specially modified version of the A.P.C. that was used by the short-lived Night Force unit of G.I. Joe. This variant A.P.C. was basically done in all black coloration, with only the Joe logos to differentiate it from the dark backgrounds it was used in - great for covert ops. Other than the coloration, though, this is still an A.P.C.

This updated version of the A.P.C., which has been re-christened the C.U.D.A., is essentially the same as the classic model of personnel carrier the Joe team made heavy use in the past, save for some coloration differences. To wit, the C.U.D.A. had a dark green canopy on top, instead of the tan camo one the A.P.C. made use of, but other than that, this was basically the same vehicle.
