the Dreadnok Air Assault V.T.O.L. Copter
The Sky Hawk is a very small, lightweight vertical take-off and landing aircraft that the G.I. Joe team has made good use of in the past when ordinary air support is impractical. Since they come in rather handy, the Dreadnoks had no problem swiping them, giving them an ugly paint job, and trying 'em out.
Of course, in the act of claiming these things as their own, the Dreadnoks renamed them as their V.T.O.L. Copters - even though they're not helicopters... Regardless, these utilitarian, light green, dark green, and burgundy mini-jets pack quite a punch, and are equipped with the following vehicular capabilities:
Communications Suite: the V.T.O.L. Copter is equipped with a radio transceiver system, allowing the pilot to send battle-field data to a central command, and then receive new orders in turn. This functions with intensity 5 power, and has a maximum range of about 100 miles.
Flight: the primary feature of the V.T.O.L. Copter, the vehicle can achieve flight by means of two powerful, twin SK-34 Series 1 high bypass turbofan engines, mounted immediately behind the cockpit of this small craft. These engines allow the Copter to fly at 510 miles per hour (intensity 9 speeds).
Levitation: the secondary feature of the V.T.O.L. Copter is its ability to take off and land vertically, thanks to its ability to pivot its SK-34 engines in a vertical orientation. This allows it to levitate with intensity 1 power; not all that effective, but definitely enough to suspend it over an area for quite some time.
Passengers: the V.T.O.L. Copter is equipped with two landing skids instead of landing gears. These long flat metal strips are all it needs, considering its V.T.O.L. capabilities. In addition to serving a landing purpose, though, they can carry two passengers in a pinch - though it's a windy ride...
S.P.A.T.S. Rockets: mounted under the Copter's cockpit are these two signal processing air to surface (S.P.A.T.S.) rockets. These missiles track their targets with a radar lock once the Copter's pilot can achieve one, and inflict intensity 10 damage to all within striking (near missile) distance of where they hit.
Titanium-Alloy Fuselage Skin: the V.T.O.L. Copter is built with 'light' in mind, and it only weighs in at 7,300 lbs. Nonetheless, the thing is built from a titanium alloy fuselage, which makes it highly resistant to small-arms fire (great for air support of ground troops), and provides it a material strength of 10.
Twin 20mm "Thunderclap" Cannons: mounted on a chin turret immediately beneath the V.T.O.L. Copter's pilot, this set of two 20mm cannons can inflict serious damage in combat. They can fire a short burst of lead to inflict damage per a +5 weapon, +6 in a sustained stream of fire.
Vulcan 20mm Rotary Cannons: these secondary, rotary cannons are mounted in recessed cavities on both sides of the V.T.O.L. Copter. They can only point at whatever's directly in front of the Copter, but their high rate of fire allows them to inflict damage that is +1 to the above weaponry.
