Thrasher F A S E R I P Res Pop Ex 20 Ty 6 Ty 6 Ex 20 Ty 6 Pr 4 Gd 10 Fe 2 Ty -5 Health: 52 Karma: 20 Origin: Like his fellow Dreadnoks (not counting any relation of Zartan's), Thrasher is a normal human... vaguely speaking. While he has no powers to speak of, the man does have a remarkable mastery of mechanical objects, and can turn virtually anything into an engine of destruction, given the time. Known Powers: (none) Equipment: Lacrosse Stick: his only personal weapon, this device is a makeshift mace of Thrasher's devising. Of course, the thing has a spiky metal ball wedged into the center of its mass, making it slightly more deadly than an ordinary lacrosse stick, and allowing Thrasher +1 CS Blunt Attack damage in melee. the Thunder Machine: his veritable love object, this terribly destructive device is a vehicle cobbled together from the remains of several other former projects of Thrasher's. This rocket-propelled car/truck/thing is armed with two devastating Vulcan cannons, and is described in its own vehicular entry. Quirks: (none) Talents: Repair / Tinkering 2: a true mechanical whiz, Thrasher excels at the fine art of transforming almost any vehicle into a veritable combat machine, either by modifying an existing vehicle beyond repair or building composite vehicles from several extant, donor vehicles - which are usually trashed in the process. Skill / Maces: while he considers his current ride (whatever that may be) to be a sufficient combat weapon, Thrasher also carries around a handy, jury-rigged implement of pain, and can actually use it (or other, like weapons) in battle as though his Ftg score was +1 CS higher than is listed above. Contacts: As one of the Dreadnoks, Thrasher can naturally ask his fellow thugs and reprobates for all kinds of assistance should he need it, whether it be one of the original bikers that made up this group, or the plethora of faceless followers that have joined these criminal goons over the years. Costume: Thrasher's 'costume' consists of black leather trousers with gray cut-off jeans on top (double-layered), gray knee-pads, gray boots with spikes strapped on the front, a black, spiky leather belt, partial football shoulder pads (with spikes on top) over a green, tattered vest, and black and gray leather gloves. Personality: Thrasher only enjoys two things: the destruction of other people's property, and the construction of new engines of destruction. Most everything else seems to escape his notice, existing only as background clutter amidst the constant imagining of new ways to express his twin joys in life. Real Name: unrevealed Occupation: mechanic, thug Legal Status: citizen of unknown nationality with a criminal record in various countries Marital Status: single Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: the Dreadnoks Height: 6' Hair: black with green stripes on the left side of his head Eyes: brown Weight: 190 lbs. Other Distinguishing Characteristics: none Story: The disaster-in-waiting that would become Thrasher grew up in a middle-class neighborhood, raised by middle-class parents who felt that discipline of any sort would 'stifle energies he might need later in life'. He wanted for nothing, though everything his parents gave him wound up causing trouble. After his parents were crippled in an accident that may or may not have had anything to do with his repair work on their brakes, this wild child disappeared into the swamps, where he could truly do anything he wished... which mostly involved his strangling anything that crossed his path. Of course, other nefarious sorts with his mindset liked to occupy swamps as well, and this was how Thrasher wound up meeting the Dreadnoks, who (after seeing that he'd be a perfect match for their group) welcomed him in with open arms. Soon after, they put this mechanical genius to work. However, Zartan quickly tired of his antics, and left him to his own devices for a short while, during which time he and his minions hooked up with Cobra, doing nefarious deeds for this group of would-be world conquerors. Eventually, though, Thrasher ran out of things to kill, and came looking for the Dreadnoks. Of course, he instead found Zandar and Zarana, since the head Dreadnok was currently being held captive by the G.I. Joe team. When these three were eventually joined by both Storm Shadow and the other Dreadnoks, Thrasher and company mounted a daring rescue attempt, using some of his newest creations. These included the Swampfire, a rebuilt Cobra helicopter, and arguably his greatest creation - the Thunder Machine. This thing, built from the carcasses of several other Cobra vehicles (and at least one sports car) is armed with twin Vulcan cannons on the front, as well as a rocket thruster (!) for excess velocity. After these thugs managed to actually liberate their leader, they returned to Cobra Island just in time to witness Serpentor's ascendance to power within Cobra, and wound up doing all kinds of dirty work for this genetic amalgamation of the earth's greatest military minds. Not that they were picky, of course. The Dreadnoks continued to serve Cobra even after Cobra Commander (or someone claiming to be him, at any rate) got Serpentor out of the way - they even hung around after this new Commander and Doctor Mindbender arranged an 'accident' for Zartan. Zartan took off shortly after this, you see, leaving Zarana to run the Dreadnoks for a time. This arrangement worked out well, and she split the Dreadnoks into two groups for a time, one led by her and the other led by Zandar; this latter group was the one that Thrasher was a part of. The Dreadnoks eventually left Cobra's service, however, and reunited once Zartan himself returned to the fold. Still with the group at this time, Thrasher was around to witness Zartan's successful efforts to transform the Dreadnoks into a nation-wide crime syndicate the likes of which have never been seen before. Not that Zartan himself was around much longer after this, for he'd apparently succumbed to a severe light-sensitivity brought on by his chameleon-like abilities. This is when his daughter, Zanya, stepped in to take over the day-to-day operations of the group - not that Thrasher minded, really. As long as he got to build more ingenious weapons to destroy things, he was happy. That's why he didn't complain too much when Zartan agreed to help the original Cobra Commander to rebuild his organization - this just meant that he'd have all kinds of new toys - U.S. Army toys - to wreck! Though the Commander's plot ultimately went awry, the Dreadnoks still work for Cobra on a contract basis, performing various tasks for the group as is needed. Thrasher continues on with the Dreadnoks to this very day, helping them to do various nefarious deeds for either Cobra or Zartan himself!
