the H.A.V.O.C. (Heavy Articulated Vehicle Ordinance Carrier)
The H.A.V.O.C. is essentially a miniature, mobile arsenal, being a heavy tracked vehicle (for all-terrain capability) which can seat four folks comfortably - two in the cockpit, one on the leveler control chair, and one in the utility flier (see below). The H.A.V.O.C. has these vehicular capabilities:
Armor Plating: overall, the H.A.V.O.C. is built with durability in mind, since it is meant to be about as useful as a tank overall. As such, the H.A.V.O.C. has an overall material strength of 13, giving this arms carrier considerable protection from enemy attack at all times.
Communications Array: the H.A.V.O.C. is equipped with a gigahertz frequency, frequency wobbler clandestine operations radio system, allowing for constant team communications. This makes for intensity 6 comm power (with a 250 mile range) that has intensity 10 signal encryption.
Front Guns: the H.A.V.O.C.'s secondary weapons are two front-mounted, horizontally adjustable machine guns, each of which can be fired to inflict damage as per a standard machine gun - inflicting damage per a +5 weapon in a semi-auto ammo burst, +6 in a full-auto ammo spread.
Impact-Resistant Tilt-Back Canopy: this bullet-resistant 'glass' window array / roof-top offers the driver and co-driver (if present) of the H.A.V.O.C. +3 protection from attack. Other occupants of the H.A.V.O.C. have no inherent protection from attack, save for their own...
Lancer Missiles: the H.A.V.O.C. employs four rear-mounted and rear-firing 'lancer' bi-pulse guidance missiles. These radio-controlled rockets inflict intensity 10 physical damage per blast, and carry a scatter effect with them, affecting all within striking (near missile) distance of their impact site equally well.
Leveler Cannons: the H.A.V.O.C.'s primary weapons consist of twin, front-pointing, vertically adjustable 'leveler' 75 mm cannons, which inflict +8 damage to a target when both fired shells strike their target, though 'only' +7 damage if just one hits. These shells carry a scatter effect, as well.
Leveler Command Chair (Passengers): instead of driving the H.A.V.O.C. from within, a body can instead sit atop the leveler firing mechanism in an ergonomic chair that, while more dangerous, offers a higher view of any combat zone. This is often used when many folks are in the H.A.V.O.C.
Lightning Speed: the H.A.V.O.C. is pretty darn fast, taking its considerable bulk into account. It can move at speeds of up to 65 miles per hour, though slightly slower in off-road conditions; this translates into having this power (after a fashion) at intensity 4 (3 off-road).
Non-Clogging Epoxy Armor Tracks: the H.A.V.O.C.'s twin track system is built out of specially coated, armored treads, helping to bring their material strength up to the listed score offered above, thus making them much less prone to failure due to targeted attack.
Rear Guns: the H.A.V.O.C.'s fourth weapon wall includes twin rear-mounted 9mm auto-load machine guns, which do damage per regular machine guns (as described above, for the front-mounted variety). These are useful when buttoning down a target in preparation of a lancer missile strike.
Track Sill Battle Platforms (Passengers): these special plates, one mounted on each side of the H.A.V.O.C.'s rear half, can each hold three extra personnel if necessary, though there's no vehicular protection offered to folks that do so (and they must hang on for dear life at higher speeds).
the Utility Flier
The H.A.V.O.C.'s utility flier is essentially a turbo-fan operated, miniature aircraft. The thing flies by means of a 110 Horsepower engine, which runs two separate floatation fans, upon which sits the pilot of this little vehicle - it's about the size of a rather large couch.
Now, the H.A.V.O.C. has a special launch/storage bay for the utility flier, which provides it +5 armor while not in use, and reinforced launch/landing pads. This bay occupies the entire rear of the H.A.V.O.C., except for its various weapon mounts, mind you. The flier itself has a material strength of 8.
It also has these vehicular capabilities:
Flight: once launched, the utility flier can scout ahead of the H.A.V.O.C. to spot trouble or any other quarry, and can also be surprise air support in a pinch, as most tracked vehicles don't contain such airborne oddities. The utility flier can move in three dimensions with intensity 5 speed and power.
Twin Guns: the utility flier has two 7.62 mm guns mounted on the front, which act as twin machine guns when used in unison (as they are programmed to do). They can inflict damage per +5 weapons in a single shot, +6 damage in a semi-auto burst, and +7 damage in a full-auto spread.
