Equipment:

Helmet:
Robert's helmet actually serves two purposes. It offers him defense against head injuries, providing him his Strength +2 protection from physical attacks that strike him in that location, and also has a nifty red visor that polarizes his vision, giving him a +1 to spot enemy targets in dim lighting conditions.

Knife: all paratroopers carry a knife on them while heading into action - you never know when you'll need to cut yourself loose from you parachute, after all. Made from m.s. 12 materials, Robert can use this tool to cut through items of like m.s., or to inflict his Strength +2 damage in melee combat.

Machine Gun: his principal weapon, Robert can use this rifle to potent effect in combat. He may fire it to inflict his Agility +4 damage with a single shot, his Agility +5 damage in a short, controlled burst of fire, or his Agility +6 damage in a full-auto, 'rock and roll' blast of imminent pain.

Parachute: naturally useful when leaping out of an airplane (whether it's going to crash or just making a mid-air drop), Robert obviously needs one of these when doing the whole paratrooper thing. This item allows him to exit a flying vehicle from extreme heights and easily land on the ground without flattening himself.

Semi-automatic Pistol: holstered on his right leg, this weapon is a convenient backup in the event that things don't go as planned, and Robert doesn't have his machine gun handy. He can fire this piece to inflict his Agility +4 damage in a single shot, or his Agility +5 damage in a semi-auto spread.

Hindrances:

(none)

Skills:

Boxing:
a part of his Army basic training, this skill describes Robert's ability to defend himself should he suddenly find himself unarmed. Robert has the ability to divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee strikes, the last of which will occur as a contingent action.

First Aid: his secondary combat specialty, Robert is educated in the fine art of patching up the wounded. Robert's attentions allow his subject to restore a card of lost health if said person fell unconscious in the previous exchange, in addition to the possibility of resuscitating those who are dying.

Marksmanship: another facet of his Army basic training, Robert can use almost all conventional firearms with proficiency. Whether he's toting standard, semi-automatic or fully automatic rifles or pistols, regardless of their nation of origin, Robert may fire such weapons at a reduced difficulty level.

Military / United States: the source of Robert's many and varied talents, this skill serves as a handy origin for the man and his capabilities. Robert's Army training has given him an inherent understanding of military policies and procedures (you know, the S.O.P.), in addition to the many perks of government service.

Calling:

Soldier,
with a secondary calling of Protector: Robert tries his best to Be All He Can Be, though he's most assuredly not an Army of One - the man works hard to help his teammates work to the best of their ability, both before and during a mission. And naturally he does his best to make sure they get home in one piece.

Costume:

When working with the Joes, Robert wears a 'sky' camouflaged uniform. It includes a dark gray flight jacket with light gray sleeves, dark gray gloves, dark gray boots, a dark gray belt, chrome knee pads, blue and gray camouflage patterned pants, and his dark gray helmet with the shiny red visor mounted on it.

Personality:

Robert takes pride in his skills as both a field medic and a parachute assembler. They tend to place him in something of a 'support' role but he doesn't mind this in the slightest, for Robert is a team player through and through. Dependable and nigh-fearless, he's always there for his buddies no matter how hairy the situation is.

Story:

Robert is the kind of guy that always enjoys helping others. This is what prompted him to join the Army in the first place, because he wanted to do his part. Of course he was able to help out even more by becoming a field medic, as not only was he serving his country, but he was helping his comrades to avoid becoming casualties.

Robert's main specialty in the Army however is the assembly of parachutes. While every paratrooper will pack his own parachute, so he has nobody to blame should it not open, Robert is the guy who puts these things together in the first place. This is of course a job left to someone who's a master rigger - someone like Robert.

There isn't a man alive in the Army today that knows more about the standard, U.S. T-10 parachute than he does. This level of expertise naturally made Robert something of a standout amongst his fellows, which got him on a certain list that mysterious folks in military circles keep - a list of possible G.I. Joe recruits!

When asked if he wanted the opportunity to take the G.I. Joe entrance exam, Robert was more than willing - it's a legendary level of difficult, but everyone who knows of the Joes' existence understands that they're on the front lines of the non-stop battle with terrorism. Robert simply couldn't pass up a shot at that action.

Once he was accepted, though, there was an odd sort of snafu with code names. You see, there was already a G.I. Joe operative that went by the name of Airborne - and he was still active on the team! The Joes simply made do with this situation by placing Robert in their new specialty paratrooper team, the Sky Patrol.

This elite, six-man unit specializes in airborne combat against the various forces of Cobra that terrorize the skies, and do so in highly advanced G.I. Joe vehicles modified specifically for their unit - vehicles using a chromium based stealth technology that was designed as a counterpart to Cobra's Pythonization process.

Robert remained with the Sky Patrol for the duration of his time with the G.I. Joe team. His four years on board saw him participating in a large variety of highly classified 'special missions', mainly against Cobras using their Python Patrol equipment to wreak all manner of havoc on targets worldwide.

When the G.I. Joe team was disbanded in 1994, Robert returned to his previous military posting, a good thing since the Army is always in need of more parachutes for operations public and clandestine. He wasn't chosen to rejoin the team when it reformed a few years later, but Robert is ready to return to the fold if called!
