the M.O.B.A.T.

The Motorized Offensive Battle Attack Tanks, or M.O.B.A.T.s, are tanks that were first used in the G.I. Joe team's original line up back in '82. Pulled out of mothballs and given a new green, brown and black camouflage paint job, these versatile, powerful tanks are equipped with the following capabilities:

130mm Cannon: the primary offensive weapon on the M.O.B.A.T., this turret fires incredibly lethal shells, each of which act as +8 weapons on impact, and carry a scatter effect with them, damaging everybody within striking (near missile) distance of their target equally.

50 Cal Machine Gun Turret: when the 130mm cannon is simply overkill, the commander of the M.O.B.A.T. tank can instead utilize this secondary offensive weapon, which inflicts +6 damage in a semi-auto burst, or +7 in a deadly full-auto volley.

Armored Side-Skirts: these steel plates offer the treads of the M.O.B.A.T. the vehicle's base armor; however, they don't totally shield the things from enemy fire, so a called shot will hit them normally (they do, however, have a material strength of 12 all by themselves).

Body Armor: as a tank, the M.O.B.A.T. is highly armored against enemy assault, capable of withstanding attacks as though it has +4 armor in addition to its already impressive material strength (consider the M.O.B.A.T. a material strength 14 item).

Commander's Cupola: resting at the center of the 130mm cannon's swiveling turret, this unit allows the tank commander to direct it from without, if he so chooses. The .50 Cal machine gun is mounted on this device, so the commander can use it directly from here if he wishes.

Communications Suite: the M.O.B.A.T. is equipped with a radio transceiver system, allowing the pilots to send battle-field data to a central command, and then receive new orders in turn. This functions at intensity 5, and has a maximum range of about 100 miles.

Gear Cases: the M.O.B.A.T. has, spread about it, various cases filled with useful gear. It has a fully stocked first aid kit, tool kit, and a small case for its pilots' arms and ammo, should the M.O.B.A.T. get disabled and its occupants have to fight it out directly.

Lightning Speed: something of a misnomer, this 'power' demonstrates the M.O.B.A.T.'s inherent mobility. While it can't quite compete in the Indy 500, it can utilize this ability at intensity 3, allowing it a top speed of 44 miles per hour (34 off-road), with a maximum range of 350 miles.

Passengers: there's plenty of room inside the M.O.B.A.T. for people to hitch a ride; technically, there are four pilot seats in the tank, but should some go unmanned (as Steeler sometimes just drives the thing all by his lonesome), three people could be seated within comfortably, six in a squeeze.

Periscope: this thing offers the M.O.B.A.T pilots, if one is not in the commander's cupola, effective circular vision, allowing them to perceive all 360 degrees of terrain around them. This, of course, only works if they're using it, and somebody has to be constantly using the periscope to benefit from this.

S.L.U.G.S. Targeting Unit: the System Laser Guiding Sight (or S.L.U.G.S.) unit is, as you may've guessed, a laser sighting system used by the M.O.B.A.T. pilots to lock onto specific targets while in combat, offering them a +1 to hit with the 130mm cannon.
