Known Powers:
Adaptation: Heather's primary power seems to be her ability to spontaneously manifest whatever power is necessary in a given situation. The power acts like the standard adaptation power, in that it can counter suddenly hostile environments, but it also covers troublesome situations, as well.
This takes the form of the Situational Adaptation 'stunt', which allows Heather to generate any one ability necessary to accomplish a needed task - for example: super strength to defeat armored foes, water control to save drowning folks, or wings to fly if dropped from extreme heights.
Intentionally adapting a super human ability takes one full exchange. This power, and any transient super human abilities gained through it, function at intensity 12, regardless of said ability's resultant suit.
Body Armor: originally, Heather's skin would undergo a derman transformation when she was exposed to any serious threat or otherwise used her Adaptation power, giving her +4 protection; this power remained 'always on' after her Shi-ar heredity fully manifested itself.
Claws: after her half Shi-ar nature came to the fore, Heather's hands were changed. They seem to permanently bear talon-like claws at all times, likely of a material strength equal to her armor skin, which let her inflict her Strength +2 damage in melee combat if she chooses.
Equipment:
(none)
Hindrances:
(none)
Skills:
First Aid: a limited form of medicine, this skill allows Heather to treat a dead or dying body, and prevent them from shrugging off this mortal coil. By succeeding in an average difficulty Intellect action, Heather can restore a card of health to a body who has fallen unconscious in the previous exchange.
Calling:
Protector: in both her vocation as well as her sudden adventurous lifestyle, Heather finds that she has a need to use her abilities to protect others from harm, whether she put them at risk or not. She seems to be settling into the super hero mindset rather quickly, and goes out of her way to help her fellows.
Costume:
Heather has recently adopted a super-heroic 'costume' while hanging out with the 'X-Treme' X-men. It consists of red stretch fabric trousers with blue racing stripes on the side, a red stretch fabric 'tank top', blue gloves, oversized blue boots (with red buckles), and a blue choker necklace.
Personality:
Heather seems to be a down to earth, centered young woman. She takes her job as a life guard very seriously, and by extension, seems to feel a responsibility for the safety of others; if she can use her abilities (mutant or otherwise) to save someone's life, Heather is more than happy to lend a hand.
Real Name: Heather Cameron
Occupation: lifeguard, adventurer
Legal Status: citizen of Australia with no known criminal record
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: none
Height: 5' 10"
Hair: blonde, later golden
Eyes: blue
Weight: 105 lbs
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: originally, none. After Heather's Shi-ar heredity manifested, her skin adopted its golden, armored state in an 'always on' state, and she developed both talons and strange Shi-ar markings on her face.
Story:
When Miles Warbuck, their true father, was killed, Heather and Davis Cameron found themselves subjected to an unseen danger. You see, their secret father was the so-called Viceroy, a leader of organized criminals on the Australian continent, and his death meant that they, too, were marked for death.
This was because, with Warbuck's death, the ensuing power vacuum could theoretically be filled by his children, who he'd secreted away in a 'normal' life so they would never be at such risk. The party responsible for his death discovered his secret photo album, though, and began searching for the children.
While a group of Boxers (assassins working for the Chinese Triad) sought the Camerons out, the 'X-Treme' X-Men journeyed to Australia as well, as their former compatriot Gambit had been framed for Warbuck's death. Discovering the Camerons' existence as they tried to sort things out, the X-Men realized their peril.
Meeting up with the Viceroy's grown-up offspring, the X-Men known as Storm and Thunderbird explained the situation to the Camerons (since they had no clue that Warbuck was their father), and the two mutants vowed to safeguard them from whoever was out to kill them, thus becoming targets of the Boxers as well.
When the assassins attacked, Heather was forced to reveal her own mutant powers during the fight, and managed to account for herself quite well. When questioned later by the X-Men, Heather admitted after the fight that she'd been using her powers to help folks who'd needed it while she was on the job.
After meeting the X-Men, though, heroism can be somewhat catchy, and Heather decided to hang out with the team for a time, becoming one of the 'X-Treme' X-men. This lasted until the team fought to prevent an invasion from a variant earth, during which time Heather suddenly manifested Shi-ar characteristics.
This totally freaked out Heather's brother Davis, who had recently had his own latent mutant powers activated by Sage. Thinking her a monster or some such, he fled for parts unknown, leaving Heather with a choice. Though she liked being an X-man, she felt the need to deal with her brother's issues.
As such, she left the X-men on a quest to find Davis, accompanied by Thunderbird... though the ultimate result of this quest has yet to be revealed. It is known that Heather worked for the X-Corporation in Genosha for a time, however - at least, until Cyclops shut the company down for security reasons.
It is also known that Heather is one of the few mutants known to have retained her powers in the wake of the M-day fiasco of the Scarlet Witch's making. What she has chosen to do with herself in the wake of this mutant catastrophe has yet to be detailed.
