the Miscellaneous Character Index
Welcome to what essentially amounts to an 'other' category of the 13, a special place where I've decided to make space for all the oddball folks I've made MSH RPG game statistics for - in either a Classic or Saga flavor - that I have no room for elsewhere. All the freaks, mutants, aliens, and whatevers that don't belong to the New Universe, Joes, and whatnot. So far, I've included...
The Angel 2: when his brother retired as the original, high-flying Angel, Simon Halloway picked up the costume and ran with it (quite literally). Fighting crime when he wasn't scrounging for a warm meal and a place to sleep, Simon occasionally did some good in his time. The second Angel comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Asclepius: the son of Apollo, Asclepius himself was originally a mortal who was simply the best surgeon in all of Greece, trained by the centaur Chiron. After Hades petitioned Zeus to slay him, Asclepius ascended to godhood himself... seemingly living on to this very day. Asclepius comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Collins, Rusty: after his powers emerged while his Navy ship was at port, Rusty Collins was collected by the new mutant group known as X-Factor, who trained him in the use of his mutant abilities and encouraged him to become a hero in his own right - which he quickly did. Rusty Collins comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Hot Rod: impossibly impulsive and yearning for adventure, Hot Rod has the mindset of the stereotypical human adolescent: he wishes to be important, a hero. Naturally, he's destined for greatness, and may achieve it - if he doesn't get himself killed on the way. Hot Rod comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Kid Zeus: the former leader of the Olympian pantheon of gods, Zeus was slain by a Japanese god of evil, and ultimately forced to drink from the waters of the river Lethe in the underworld. His power and personality reincarnated, Zeus now wanders the earth as a powerful, amnesiac ten year old boy...! Kid Zeus comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Lifeguard: the daughter of an Australian crime-boss and (apparently) a Shi'ar explorer, Heather Cameron was born with impressive mutant powers due to her curious heritage, powers that allow her to perform her chosen task in life - the saving of innocent lives! Lifeguard comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Marvel Boy: the eighth person known to bear this title, Noh-Varr is a Kree warrior from another universe, a variant earth Kree custom-built to perfection with both insectoid D.N.A. and nano-active body fluids - who has been inadvertently let loose on our world...! Marvel Boy comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Nike: the Greek goddess of victory, Nike (pronounced 'nee kay') has always been a close confidant of Athena, and a sort of 'behind the scenes' power in the Olympian pantheon, subtly ensuring their many victories over the eons against their countless, monstrous foes. Nike comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Red Raven 2: when the original, Golden Age Red Raven wished to join his Sky Island brethren in their cryogenic slumber, he didn't want to leave his adopted home defenseless. As such, he simply built an android duplicate of himself to guard it in his stead...! Red Raven 2 comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Red Raven 3: sole child of the original, Golden Age Red Raven, Dania grew up in seclusion, isolated from humanity. Though she never knew the residents of Sky Island, she felt the need to protect their legacy - even after the floating city was raised from the sea floor! Red Raven 3 comes in Classic and Saga styles!
John Wraith: one of many members of the original, clandestine Weapon X program, John Wraith (if that's his real name) is a powerful teleporter, though hardly anybody knows this; he uses his mutant power to appear and vanish when least expected, almost... wraith-like... John Wraith comes in Classic and Saga styles!
Special Character Collections:
Elders of the Universe: the inexplicable Elders of the Universe are all singular beings, the last members of their respective races - all of whom have lived for billions of years due to an intransigent pursuit of their chosen art. Their immortality comes at a price, however, for these undying old men and women can spend their unending lives thinking of (or talking about) little else!
