Toocheetsch is a paranormal, a sort of altered human who gained his powers during the White Event, an astronomical incident that forever set the New Universe apart from our standard reality. His particular powers give him the ability to control his very mass, to various effects.

Known Powers:

Mass: when Nikolai first manifested his parability, he acquired enough mass to make him an incredibly large, puffy man. However, it's been learned that he simply has the ability to control his own body mass, since he's able to raise and lower it with some work. This primarily gives him his incredible strength.

However, it does have a second benefit, in the form of a rather dense body structure. Whether he's in his big, puffy form or his more recent, Mikhail Gorbachev guise, Nikolai has Remarkable (30) ranked Body Armor, which breaks down against the various attack forms as follows:

Equipment:

Comm Gear: like most other members of the Medusa Web, Nikolai has a transceiver headset that allows him to communicate with Babel with Typical (6) range (100 miles). It can send video to a control center, but it also has the ability to send and receive audio signals.

Quirks:

Appearance, x1: Nikolai's appearance is generally unattractive to most folks, since he's all obese-looking. This, of course, is offset by his kind and generous personality, but people love their first impressions... Treat this as if his Popularity is -1 CS worse than it is already.

Talents:

Detective / Espionage: after his family was recovered by the Web from the U.S.S.R., Nikolai was trained in various espionage techniques in order to facilitate his impersonation of Mikhail Gorbachev. His Reason FEATs in such areas should be considered +1 CS.

Languages / English and Russian: Nikolai speaks fluent Russian (being from Russia) and some broken English. Not fluently, mind you, but enough to minimally get by. Of course, once he donned his Gorbachev guise, he may have needed to complete his English training...

Martial Arts Type B: since his body is built for beating on things, Nikolai has been trained by the Medusa Web in skilled brawling. He makes unarmed melee attack rolls at a +1 CS, whether they be punches, kicks, head butts, elbow drops, knee smashes, or whatever.

Contacts:

Nikolai is a member of the Medusa Web , though he is no longer participates in this group's more violent operations. In fact, he is currently acting as an impostor for a removed Mikhail Gorbachev, as the Web needed to get control of the U.S.S.R. for their purposes of global unification.

As such, Nikolai can draw upon both the Web and the U.S.S.R.'s resources should he find it necessary.

Costume:

Little clothing actually fit him well enough for combat while he was in his puffy stage, so when in action, Nikolai wore shiny black boots and camouflage pants that can easily fit his large frame. That's about it. As Gorbachev, however, he wears a classy business suit and the appearance of the former Soviet leader.

Personality:

Nikolai is an extremely kind man, and he hates having to work for the Medusa Web; it's the only way he could afford to bring his family to America. He hates combat and conflict, but if he has to fight, he'll do it with true bravery He's still adjusting to his new role as the impostor Gorbachev, however.

Story:

Little is known about the history of Nikolai, other than the fact that he is a farmer who has left Russia, his homeland, and is trying to bring his family to his new home as well (wherever that is). In order to afford the expense of doing so, Toocheetsch has worked for the Medusa Web in the past.

His only published mission with this group was when he joined several other Medusa Web operatives in their attack on the Horton Plaza, where several members of Psi-Force were hiding out. He attacked Kathy Ling, but was knocked silly by a new trick she'd mastered.

It was a concussion strike, a massive burst of force channeled through her fist. Not expecting such force from the frail looking girl, he was literally floored by his miscalculation. The teens were eventually caught by the Web, and then taken by the U.S. government.

After this incident, Babel managed to free Nikolai's family from the U.S.S.R. at long last, and per the deal between him and the Medusa Web, he discarded his previous life completely in order to perform the task presented to him by the subversive group: the replacement of Soviet commander Mikhail Gorbachev!

Believing that Nikolai's true powers were those of mass manipulation, Babel underwent a severe study of his physiology, and learned that he was indeed correct. As such, he trained Nikolai how to alter his mass and size so that he could be an approximate double of the leader of the communist world.

After later plastic surgery, hair implantation, and an intensive study of the Soviet Politburo, Nikolai was ready for his final task, and the Medusa Web delivered him back to Moscow in order to enact their charade. Once this operation was a success, the Medusa Web was effectively in control of the U.S.S.R.

However, what they want to do with this control has yet to be revealed...
