Synergy Cyborgs

The Synergy Cyborgs were several youths native to the Caribbean island of Puerto Rojo, who were experimented upon by the demented Saxon St. John, a vicious member of the Club who was trying to develop a viable cybernetics paradigm. Of course, the locals weren't too keen on this idea, so the man had to brainwash people severely in order to get them to 'volunteer'.

There were several young adults on the island that were abducted by St. John and surgically altered. Making statistics for all of them would be pointless, but I can make a generic model for the poor youths; after all, Jenny Swensen may have defeated the two we saw in her last issue, but that doesn't mean she got rid of ALL of them, now, does it?!?

Computer Link (Direct Neural Interface):
the main aspect of Saxon St. John's work was to make machines one with he human body; in order to accomodate this, he has made the various Synergy cyborgs a direct control splice into their spinal column. This thing offers all the benefits of an intensity 10 computer link, should the specific cyborg think to use it. It also allows them to be one with their armor.

Body Armor: their most obvious feature, this Synergy armor has been forged to make the various Synergy cyborgs look like some sort of monstrous being; humanoid, but nonetheless appearing alien-esque (is that a real word? Why not.). This armor adds a +2 boost to the cyborgs' defense, and is equipped with these features:

* Flight: thanks to two boot-mounted thrusters, the Synergy cyborgs can fly about under their own rocket power. Sure, they can't really achieve super-sonic speeds or anything, using this power at only intensity 6 (about 120 miles per hour), but it beats beating feet from one location to another, which would be impractical in a rapid deployment...

* Quills (striking weapon): the Synergy cyborgs are adorned with various spikes and such all over the place, and as such, these intensity 12 items can be used to inflict like damage to a target in melee damage, a slight bit higher than the harm they can cause by simply bludgeoning a foe with fists or the like. Of course, they also make hitting the cyborg a difficult proposition, at best.

* CommLink: all of the Synergy cyborgs are equipped with a powerful radio link, which allows Saxon St. John to communicate with them with at least a 100 mile range (consider this at least intensity 3), as well as look in on what they're doing by accessing the data being sent through the cyborgs' optic nerves (and you thought your boss was nosy...).

Hindrances:

Monstrous:
being designed to freak out people, the Synergy cyborgs revel in this hindrance, and folks with zero edge (your standard normal human-types) will flee before their terrifying visage. If they so choose, however, the cyborgs must pass a Willpower action (at zero Willpower) to convince them not to flee (and most of they time, they don't care to).

Calling:

Soldier:
once they were completed, Saxon St. John has heaped layers upon layers of brainwashing into the minds of the Synergy cyborgs. As such, unless they were exceptionally strong-willed to begin with, they mostly lived only to execute his orders or otherwise fulfill his wishes. And it should be noted that most of them weren't strong-willed to begin with...

Other Info:

There's not really much to say, other than the armor used by the Synergy Cyborgs was of an odd coloration. The arms and lower legs had a purple hue, and the rest of was a metallic orange color. The helmet was orange, with a green visor, and designed to give it an alien look.

It had a mouth full of fangs and the like, and had this elongated cranium. These weren't necessary, or even functional; instead, they were intended to instill terror within anybody fighting the Synergy Cyborgs. It didn't work very well...
