the Famileech Strength Agility Intellect Willpower 13x 2x 1x 4x Hand Size: 4 (25) Edge: 2 Powers: Body Armor (s): the Famileech is seemingly made from the flesh and organs of others, which is itself a pretty fragile thing, but combined with the sheer size of this monster this forms a pretty solid defense. Its almost liquid nature and volume offer the 'leech +5 protection from attack. Now, individual bits of the Famileech do not benefit from this protection, so pseudopods launched at a hero can easily be beaten back or destroyed. Similarly, holes can be shot in the 'leech to escape when it flows over a body. But, overall damage to the Famileech is based on this basic defense score. Life Drain (i): the Famileech has a sort of variant of this power, though it functions in primarily the same fashion. Working at intensity 15, draining like cards (or Health) from anybody it attempts to consume each exchange, this power allows it to quickly absorb humans into its mass. People who manage to escape from this attack without being totally drained will suffer no adverse effects, but a body that is totally deprived of cards (or Health) by this attack is absorbed into the Famileech (as opposed to being reborn as a new Famileech), and removing them from this biomass may be very difficult... Plasticity (a): a primarily shapeless, amoeboid horror, the Famileech can easily change its shape, at least in certain respects. It can flow over even large obstacles with ease, form pseudopods with which to grasp at living beings, and you can sometime see hints of... people under its skin. Size Alteration (a): while it doesn't have the power to grow, per se, the Famileech is nonetheless many times larger than your average human, and technically has this power as a result. Easily at least one hundred times the volume of your average human, the Famileech has this power at intensity 30. Though bound by the Growth Only and Permanent limitations, of course. Due to its rather non-humanoid nature, though, this power does not enhance the 'leech's Strength (or lower its Agility) in the normal fashions; it has some degree of manual dexterity with its pseudopods, but cannot bring a huge amount of force to bear upon a body with them (hence the scores above). Equipment: (none) Hindrances: Monstrous: it probably goes without saying that the Famileech is a pretty scary customer, one that will cause zero (0) Edge humans to flee from it on sight. Mind you, this is definitely in their best interests, for the Famileech is without any other impulse other than to eat them - grisly, eh? Skills: (none) Calling: Animal Nature: the Famileech isn't too bright, being at first a mix of four minds, and now a blend of many human consciousnesses. Of course, how many minds are inside the Famileech is irrelevant, really, for it only heeds the insatiable hunger for animal life that constantly pushes it onward. Costume: Lacking a consistent form since it seems to constantly shift in shape and size, not to mention the fact that it is almost always issuing forth new pseudopods in order to consume everything in its environment, the Famileech wears no costume, per se. Heck, it can't even wear clothing, really...! Personality: Beyond its hunger, the Famileech has little personality. When it first formed from the paranormally altered Robinson family, it betrayed hints of the individual members that comprised its mass, but now there are so many component humans within the thing that it only answers to its hunger. Real Name: Leonard, Marge, Timmy, and Janey Robinson (among many, many others) Occupation: none Legal Status: citizen(s) of the United States with no known criminal record Marital Status: Leonard and Marge were married to each other Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: none Height: variable Hair: none Eyes: variable (it has many) Weight: variable Other Distinguishing Characteristics: the Famileech is a giant amorphous blob of formerly-human flesh. This pink-colored monstrosity is a writhing mass of rolling flesh and pseudopods, and one can occasionally see hints of the many people it has absorbed in the past just under the surface of its all too human skin. Story: While on a minor road trip to visit his mother, Leonard Robinson, along with his wife Marge, and his children Timmy and Janey, were stuck in gridlock miles outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As fate would have it though, the Robinson family was not going to make it to their destination - ever. This was because, while driving towards the city, their car was engulfed in a blinding white light, one which prevented them from seeing just what was going on all around them. By the time their eyes cleared, the Robinsons' view of events outside their beat up, red V.W. bug was similarly obscured - by debris. They had been driving towards their destiny, you see, for while on their way to a family visit, the Pitt had been created before their very eyes. Far enough away to have avoided being disintegrated on the spot, their car was nonetheless close enough to be picked up by the intense winds generated by the disaster. Since even the air around Pittsburgh was gone, atmosphere from all around was rushing in to fill that absence, and these unnaturally strong winds picked up the Robinsons' bug like it was a tinker toy, and pitched it over the edge of the Pitt. As you can imagine, this definitely ruined their day...! As their car slid down the (currently) smooth edge of the Pitt itself, the Robinsons managed to land at the bottom of the crater without being crushed altogether, but their bug was slowly filling up with fluid that was draining in from the rivers surrounding the Pitt, not to mention the refuse that came down with them. Before they could drown, though, the armored heroine Spitfire happened to be inspecting the carnage that the creation of the Pitt had wrought, and pulled them out of the morbid stew of river water and Pitt wreckage all around them. This turned out to be not so fortunate, though - at least for the world at large. This is because, while the Robinsons lived, they were not left unchanged by these events. Either the blast that destroyed Pittsburgh itself (the so-called 'Black Event') or exposure to the 'Pitt-Juice' at the crater's bottom had wrought some... changes in all four of the Robinson's physiologies. While being treated in an Army hospital set up near the Pitt crater, it became apparent that they had developed some sort of skin condition, one whose discomfort could only be alleviated when the family was in full contact with each other. While they weren't too happy with this, they knew it worked. At least, until one fateful day when, after their doctors checked them out, the Robinsons' bodies started to ooze and flow, leaving them merged into one awful composite blob of fleshy nastiness - one that was extremely hungry! The next time their doctors saw them, in fact, turned out to be their last appointment. This being because they ate one of their doctors, a government operative who was trying to see if there was any biological warfare possibilities in their 'skin condition'. After some of their doctors escaped, they had the Robinson family, which they then dubbed the 'Famileech', transferred to better facilities. This anatomical horror eventually escaped again, only to find itself beaten back for a time by Randy O'Brien, the Antibody, who was stationed at the military hospital at the time. He managed to do this by surrounding his very body with his antibodies, making himself immune being absorbed by the family. The ultimate problem with the conglomerate Robinsons was that the government didn't know how to help them and, as it turned out, didn't know how to get rid of them either. As such, they did something that apparently seemed sensible at the time - they dumped 'em somewhere in the Amazon jungle! Of course, they claimed this was an accident to the C.I.A. operatives that got assigned to cleaning up the mess it caused upon being exposed to an environment so teeming with animal life for it to absorb. You see, while it was just the size of four people before, it grew considerably upon arriving in the jungle. So much so, in fact, that the Famileech had changed into a colossal amoeboid lifeform by the time the C.I.A.'s paranormal strike force arrived to stop it! Surrounding them while they camped out one night, the Famileech mercilessly attacked Friction, Glitter, Sponge, Twilight, and Chrome. The latter victim of its hunger was somewhat ironic, though, for it was Chrome (or, as she used to be known, Spitfire) that had saved the Robinsons' lives back during the whole Pitt mess. Anyway, these C.I.A. paranormal recruits did their best to fight the Famileech, but barely managed to escape with their lives. Well, most of them did, anyway. While four of the C.I.A.'s paranormal force got away from the Famileech, Twilight didn't, falling to the monster's dread appetite despite her power's adverse affects on its body. Her fellows looked for her for about a day, but never found any trace of her - or her body. After they left the scene, the Famileech was left to its own devices, and its ultimate fate - not to mention the fate of those in the area it was deposited in - has yet to be revealed.
