Johnny Do
Strength 5x |
Agility 4x |
Intellect 3x |
Willpower 6x |
Natural Psi-Powers:
Fire Control: Johnny's only paranormal power, this allows him to generate and manipulate fiery energies. He can do this at intensity 12. Though he lacked fine control over his power at first, his time with Psi-Force has changed this somewhat, and Johnny has managed to develop the following power stunts as of his last published adventure:
* Fire Elementals: Johnny can conjure forth quasi-intelligent energy drones, composed of fire. These elementals function with intensity 12 Strength and Agility. It takes Johnny one full exchange to bring these beings into existence, and they remain as long as he is conscious (or wants 'em around). They take double damage from watery attacks.
* Heat Control: Johnny can also excite the molecules of available matter, allowing him to generate intense heat from said matter. He can also do this at intensity 12, which allows him to increase ambient temperatures by up to 120 degrees. He can apply this heating action to any one character, or to everybody within firing range, doing like damage to either.
* Flight: by superheating the air beneath his body, Johnny Do can achieve flight. This isn't particularly fast, mind you, working at only intensity 1, but Johnny can do it. This helps greatly when attempting to avoid damage due to a fall, or when he simply needs to get somewhere in the vertical plane (like, on the roof of a building), and lets him move about at around 15 miles per hour.
Invulnerability to Fire and Heat Attacks: Johnny has total resistance to these two types of energies, allowing him to avoid inadvertently damaging himself with his flames. In fact, this makes him pretty much impervious to any type of fiery harm, which is a good thing, what with his powers exploding all over his body when he uses them...
Hindrances:
Naive: a relative youngster, Johnny Do is really quite trusting, and can be easily taken advantage of by someone smart enough to try. Furthermore, he makes and defends against surprise attacks as if his Strength and Agility scores were zero, usually being caught flat-footed by such assaults.
Skills:
(none)
Calling:
Youthful Exuberance: Johnny Do, after being awoken to the world by Thomas Boyd's care, has embraced his super heroic life with a truly youthful vigor. He goes through his adventures with a glee that his cynical teammates cannot come close to matching.
Costume:
Johnny isn't really into the covert, subversive style of adventuring that his team-mates favor. While in action, he simply wears a black pair of pants, a black 'muscle' shirt with a stylized red hawk on the front, a red headband, and of course, a pair of sneakers.
Personality:
For most of his life, Johnny Do has been in mental institutions, thanks to the Soviet government. With his eventual liberation at the hands of Psi-Force and the Medusa Web, Johnny's started to evolve as a person, and sees Psi-Force as his family.

Story:
Johnny Do lived in Russian mental institutions for most of his life, until the White Event, where he manifested powerful fire generation abilities. He was then shipped out to the Siberian Project, where the Soviets began studying his powers.
Their ultimate goal was to add Johnny to a Soviet paranormal hit squad, called Crasniye Solleetsi (translated as 'Red Sun' in English). However, his limited mental state was a deterrent to this goal, and the Siberian Project scientists took to binding Johnny in an asbestos suit to keep him under control.
However, they let him loose so he could participate in Red Sun's quashing of the Afghanistani rebellion against Soviet rule. Of course, he went absolutely wild upon being set free, and Red Sun had to put him down in addition to the rebels, and drug him back to the Project.
Once back, he was about to be lobotomized (he kept burning things uncontrollably), when Thomas Boyd, a recent Project capture, discovered his presence and scheduled fate. Not liking this idea, he went to save Johnny, and he took charge of his care.
Boyd began to bring the child back to life, mentally speaking, trying to give him the desire to learn how to take care of himself. He did this until the Medusa Web broke Psi-Force out of the Project, and Johnny Do followed his newfound 'father' to freedom.
Of course, the paranormals had to defeat Rodstvow, first. Johnny Do joined Psi-Force, the Medusa Web, Justice, and Red Sun (what was left of them, anyway) to do this, and after a grim battle, the mad Russian was finally defeated.
After this mess, Psi-Force journeyed to France, and joined up with the Medusa Web on a contract basis. They continued working for the subversive organization through the War (which was the 'end' of the New Universe line of comics).
