Natural Psi-Powers:

Macrosense (Cosmic Awareness) (w): after the apparent destruction of the Psi-Hawk at Rodstvow's hands, Wayne's mind endured a staggering increase in awareness. In essence, he gained an awareness of everything that everybody on the earth knows: languages, talents, and more. As such, this power works a bit different than the standard Cosmic Awareness ability.

You see, he doesn't have that ability to detect cosmic phenomenon, as there really wasn't any in the New Universe (aliens and such, that is). However, he can still ask the Narrator one yes or no question about events occurring around him per game. This question must still be rooted in the present, however, and can't be used to glean information about the future. Wayne wields this power at intensity 5.

Hyperlinguistics (i): thanks to his evolved cosmic awareness, Wayne can easily and instantly decipher the language a person is speaking in, and then communicate with them in it, at intensity 10. He doesn't have these languages in his mind, per se, but can develop the ability to use 'em instantly. The standard difficulties for learning new languages still apply, however.

Hypnosis (w): Wayne can use this power to force a target into a trance, during which time he can implant any behavioral suggestions desired into said target; this requires an easy mind control (willpower) action. These suggestions can be of any type, even those that may normally be opposed to the morals and personality of the target. Wayne wields this power at intensity 12.

If this action is successful, the target must attempt to complete the hypnotic suggestion as a contingent action, or do so contingent to any other occurrence Wayne desires; the command overrides the target's mind upon such an occurrence, and he attempts to complete the action immediately, regardless of current circumstances. So far, Wayne has demonstrated this power stunt with hypnosis:

* Multiple Targets (w): Wayne can 'push' any number of other people, forcing them to obey his hypnotic suggestions (things like 'run away' or 'put your weapons down'). This requires the same action as described above, though the opposing willpower score will be the highest one present in the crowd Wayne is attempting to influence.

Mind Control (w): Wayne also has the ability to directly control the mind of another, an action he could perform at intensity 13. In order to achieve control, or to force controlled persons to do things they normally wouldn't, he must pass an easy mind control (willpower) action against his target. Wayne has demonstrated this one power stunt so far:

* Mindwipe (w): by spending five minutes with a person, and then passing a daunting difficulty mind control action (opposed by the target's willpower score), Wayne can completely wipe out his memories. This doesn't affect ability scores, but can cause a change in personality and / or calling. The wipe lasts until fixed with this power or with the psychic surgery ability.

Psychic Blast (w): by passing an easy psychic blast (willpower) action, Wayne could inflict his total action score (based upon his power intensity of 13) in damage to a foe by bombarding his mind with waves of psionic energy. The target's willpower score acts as armor against this damage, like strength normally does against conventional attacks. Wayne has demonstrated this power stunt so far:

* Mind Blowing (w): Wayne can push his power in order to affect everybody within firing distance with his psychic blast. While he does take damage from this as well, he can discriminate who will and who will not be hit by this tidal wave of psychic force. After using his mind-blowing attack, Wayne can't initiate another blast until his full hand (or health) has been restored.

Telepathy (w): Wayne an achieve mind-to-mind contact with another person with an easy telepathy action; this is opposed by the target's willpower score if this is an unwanted contact. While contact is in effect, Wayne can sense what his target can, and can communicate with him without any audible or visual hints otherwise. Wayne uses this power at intensity 15, and knows these telepathic power stunts:

* Mental Probe (w): by passing an average difficulty telepathy action (opposed by the target's willpower score if this is an unwilling probe), Wayne can seek out any information in somebody's mind. He needs to know exactly what he's looking for, mind you, as he can't simply go 'browsing' through his target's mind until he finds what he wants.

At any rate, after a body has been mentally probed, he cannot be probed again for twenty four hours, as the strain on his mind erects natural barriers against this (even if his intellect and willpower scores drop by one for this time period). Wayne uses this power at intensity 15, making it relatively easy for him to perform such probes...

* Psychic Detection (w): Wayne can easily detect any sort of psionic activity within his area. At intensity 15, he will spot such activity if he can pass an average difficulty telepathy action. As one can guess, this is pretty much an assured success unless the person using this psionic activity is actively masking their presence, with powers such as psychic invisibility...

* Psychic Invisibility (w): Wayne knows how to mask his mind (and those of up to fifteen other people) from the awareness of others. This only affects living, sentient minds, however; video cameras, as well as other electrosensory devices, can see right through this invisibility. As such, this power is affected by the Fools Only Creatures limitation.

* Sedation (w): by passing an average difficulty telepathy action (opposed by the willpower of his would-be target), Wayne can force a body to enter a deep sleep; he uses this power at intensity 15. If the target is placed into such a sleep, he cannot be awakened for at least fifteen minutes, as his mind will simply ignore external events for that period of time.

* Team Link (w): Wayne can link the minds of up to fifteen other people together at one time, so each can share thoughts and impressions about what they are experiencing. However, if anybody in the link is knocked out in battle, Wayne must pass a challenging telepathy action in order to maintain the link. This link functions at intensity 15, and isn't limited by mere geography or distance.

Trained Psi-Powers (Superpsi):

Gestalt (a): Wayne, along with the rest of the original members of Psi-Force, was taught how to create a powerful being by combining his psychic essence with that of several other psionic individuals; he could do this at intensity 5. Once this power was initiated, the Psi-Hawk would manifest over the bodies of the concentrating psis, using their combined powers and knowledge.

Wayne has shown this one power stunt with the Gestalt power:

* Mind Shift (a): originally, the Psi-Hawk was portrayed as some sort of spectral, other-worldly entity. However, it was revealed that the Hawk was simply an amalgamation of the minds that concentrated upon bringing it into existence. Though all of the people that formed it controlled it at once, one person could take charge if they needed to. See the specific Psi-Hawk entry for more information on this.

Equipment:

Cybernetic Switchblades (s): swiped from Spitfire 2 after Psi-Force and the Medusa Web cleaned his clock, these items are of material strength 10, and inflict +3 damage in Wayne's hands. These blades are retractable, housed in a container strapped on the backs of Wayne's arms.

Hindrances:

(none)

Skills:

Brawling (s): Wayne grew up in a bad part of town, and as such, he learned how to fight dirty. Real dirty, if need be. If he reduces an opponent to zero health while brawling, his opponent will slip into a coma, as the damage to his person will be quite severe...

Computers (i): a part of Wayne's extensive Medusa Web training included a proper understanding of a computer's operation. For instance, he can program, hack, and to some extent, design just about any computer system.

Espionage (i): another skill the Medusa Web trained Wayne in is proper espionage technique. He has training in surveillance techniques, spotting minor details about a subject, operating 'spy' equipment, and of course, detecting whether or not he's being followed.

Knives (s): Wayne is also well-versed in the use of a knife, either to make a point or to defend himself. He makes attacks with such a weapon at one difficulty level lower than would normally be necessary (he's good -- real good).

Leadership (w): Wayne can, upon passing an average difficulty willpower action, give a +1 to the actions of any group he's leading (usually Psi-Force). If his leadership disappears, however, this translates into a -1, as the group has begun to depend on his directions...

Manipulation (w): this skill is a sort of natural persuasive ability, an ability that Wayne had long before he developed his paranormal powers of telepathy. It makes it easier for him to influence a body into doing something, without said body sensing his manipulation attempt.

Marksmanship (a): his extensive training with the Medusa Web has given Wayne the ability to competently use any sort of hand-held firing weapon. He makes attacks with such weapons at one difficulty level lower than is usually necessary.

Mental Control (w): Wayne is very, very skilled in the use of his powers. In addition to being able to make actions with his power at one difficulty level lower than would normally be necessary, he receives the benefit of an autotrump when doing so, if he wishes to use it.

Sociology (i): after dealing with the complex innards of people's minds for years, Wayne had developed a sort of understanding about what makes people tick. He can make reasonable assumptions about what a person will do next, and can make undeclared contingent actions if he doesn't attack in an exchange.

Survival (w): if anything, Wayne is skilled at getting by, regardless of his surroundings. Whether it be in the Afghanistani wilds or simply on the streets of Chicago, Wayne can draw forth the minimum necessary survival requirements (food, water, etc...).

Thievery (a): in his youth, Wayne was somewhat of a hood. He got rather good at breaking into cars and such, though it is assumed that, since he knows the basics of lock-picking, he could apply that knowledge to any locks. He's also good at being generally sneaky...

Calling:

Outcast, later Peace of Mind: Wayne felt all alone in the world when he first developed his telepathic powers, a sort of freak among men. He's since reconciled his bad feelings about his abilities, and with his massive increase in power, well, he has achieved a sort of peace (though he still strives for more).

Costume:

While active with Psi-Force, Wayne usually didn't wear a specific uniform to speak of, but has flirted with such designs in the past. His ideal 'action look' would include black pants, a black leather jacket with a stylized red hawk head on front and a spiky right shoulder pad, and gray gloves.

Personality:

Wayne used to be a very angry youth, thanks to the physical abuses of his father. Wayne eventually grew to like the members of Psi-Force, however, and truly became a team player over time, especially after meeting (and eventually marrying) Lindsey Falmon (Overtime).

Story:

Wayne Tucker came from a damaged family; his mother died six years ago, and his father beat him ever since. To get back at his policeman dad, Wayne became the leader of a Chicago street gang, until one fateful night. The night of the White Event.

After another fight with his father, Wayne felt compelled to leave home and head west (no thanks to Emmett Proudhawk's manipulations). Once there, he met up with the rest of Psi-Force, but didn't like them or Emmett's ideas for a team very much.

However, Proudhawk taught him and the rest of the psionic youths how to combine their psychic essences into a singular being, which they did to avenge his death soon after. After trying to leave the group several times, Wayne eventually decided to stick with them.

The group stayed together for a time, until the Russian paranormal known as Rodstvow destroyed Psi-Force's home. Scarred and wounded in the explosion, Wayne fled to Seattle, only to be followed by the EM form of Tyrone Jessup, whose body was severely burned in the incident.

There, they met up with Lindsey Falmon, who Wayne got involved with... a lot. The two became inseparable after several encounters with the Medusa Web, an organization that first tried to capture them for the U.S. government, and then tried to recruit them into their own organization after saving them from the armored C.I.A. operative known as Spitfire.

Soon after, Wayne, Tyrone, and Lindsey found out that the rest of Psi-Force had been captured by the government, and went to the east coast to save 'em. They broke out Boyd first, and then the others, though tragedy struck afterwards.

After freeing Anastasia and Kathy from a military hospital, Psi-Force was gunned down by the army, and Anastasia died while healing the damage caused by a rain of bullets. The team then ran afoul of Rodstvow again, and was forced to form the Psi-Hawk to fight this homicidal terror.

Rodstvow and Psi-Hawk then did battle over Washington D.C., and the resulting battle utterly devastated the city. In the end, Psi-Hawk lost his fight with the Russian paranormal, who quickly destroyed him and most American monuments and historical artifacts of note (like the Constitution).

The Psi-Force woke up in the Siberian Project, taken there by Rodstvow, and stayed there until rescued by the Medusa Web. The mercenaries, who were joined by Justice, teamed up with Psi-Force and Red Sun (a Russian group of paranormals) to defeat Rodstvow once and for all.

The group then made for France, and joined up with the Medusa Web on a contract basis, performing various helpful jobs for the subversive organization. Wayne eventually married Lindsey, and the group apparently survived the War (at the 'end' of the New Universe line).
