Note: Psi-Hawk's statistics will typically vary somewhat, being the average of those maintaining its' existence, +1 CS.
Origin:
The Psi-Hawk is a gestalt being, existing only while it is being maintained by people of a psionic bent. Only four people have the potential ability to create it (if it is, in fact, still possible to manifest the Psi-Hawk), but anyone with psionic powers can add to it's power (with a probable practical limit of eight people, plus the person that has initiated the gestalt power).
Known Powers:
Winged Flight: the Psi-Hawk is possessed of a large pair of eagle-like wings, allowing it to fly at up to Good (10) speeds (120 m.p.h.).
Variable Powers:
The Psi-Hawk will have variable powers, depending on just who is concentrating on continuing its existence. It usually wields such powers at Monstrous (75) rank. Powers it has used in past appearances include:
Healer's Powers:
Psi-Hawk has been able to use all of Anastasia's powers (healing 1 + 3, and cure disease) when she was maintaining its existence.
Johnny Do's Powers:
I'm assuming that Johnny can contribute to the Psi-Hawk's powers, and if this is the case, Psi-Hawk can use his powers (energy generation / fire and flight) while he's concentrating on maintaining its existence.
Network's Powers:
Psi-Hawk can used all of Wayne's powers (telepathy, ESP, messenger, mind control 1 and 2, invisibility 1 and 2, super hypnosis, charismatic aura, mindwipe, languages, sensory confusion, psychic probe, macrosense, and psionic blast) when he is maintaining its existence.
Overtime's Powers:
Psi-Hawk can probably use all of Lindsay's powers (psychometry, limited precognition, sensory link concerning the items psychometry is used on) while Lindsay is maintaining its existence.
Salvo's Powers:
Psi-Hawk can use Michael's psychokinetic power while he's maintaining its existence.
Sedara's Powers:
I'm assuming Sedara could contribute to the Psi-Hawk's power. If this is the case, Psi-Hawk can use her dimensional transport and dimensional blade abilities while she's helping to maintain its existence.
Shockwave's Powers:
Psi-Hawk can use all of Kathy's powers (telekinesis, flight, levitation, concussive strike, force field, force blast) while she is maintaining its existence.
Syphon's Powers:
Psi-Hawk can use Thomas' adrenaline vampirism power while he is concentrating on maintaining its existence.
Voyager's Powers:
Psi-Hawk can assume a light energy form while Tyrone is maintaining its existence, making it immune to physical and energy attacks at Class 1k rank. It cannot use any other powers while in this state, save for Tyrone's energy control abilities.
Equipment:
(none)
Quirks:
the Psi-Hawk's mind is made up of the individual consciousnesses that help maintain its existence, making it rather erratic in combat, from manifestation to manifestation. There's no specific quirk to account for this; just thought I'd state this so you know!
Talents:
the Psi-Hawk can draw upon the individual talents of the psis that maintain its existence, making it quite knowledgable and dangerous indeed, especially now that Wayne knows just about every talent known to man via his macrosense...
Contacts:
None. As the Psi-Hawk is only a temporary creation of the Psi-Force folks that have learned the Gestalt power, it doesn't have a personal life, per se.
Costume:
Gray frilled vest with stylized red hawk head on front, gray frilled 'skirt', frilled red boots, golden bracelets with red borders, and gray hawk-style mask (covering head, eyes, and some of the nose).
Personality:
When it first appeared, the Psi-Hawk was portrayed as this sort of enigmatic, otherworldly spirit, molded after the appearance of Psi-Force's former mentor, Emmett Proudhawk. Later, however, he was shown to be an amalgamation of the minds that maintained its existence.

Story:
The Psi-Hawk is a sort of amalgamated psionic energy being, created by the focused wills of at least one member of the original Psi-Force team and several other psionic folks. It was first created after the death of Emmett Proudhawk, Psi-Force's ersatz mentor, who taught the team how to meld their mental essences into a being of singular power. They first used it to vanquish Emmett's killer, Mindwolf.
Over the space of the next year, Psi-Force called forth the Psi-Hawk on several occasions in order to save their lives. Now, at first, the Psi-Hawk had a mysterious, otherworldly air to it, as I believe it's driving intelligence was the leftover essence of Emmett Proudhawk's psyche. As such, it tried to direct the teens within Psi-Force to stick together, despite the fact that several of them wanted to split at first.
This was the ultimate reason that Michael Crawley ended up leaving the team. You see, the group was trying to protect Thomas Boyd from his former C.I.A. employer, Derek Shiningstar, when they had to form the Psi-Hawk once again. The Hawk was highly erratic, however, and once it defeated the group's foes, it started to attack Psi-Force itself.
This happened because too many people were generating it at the time. You see, when he first taught the paranormals in his care how to generate the Psi-Hawk, he was doing so based on a vision he had concerning their future, a vision that only saw five youths contributing to the Hawk. The addition of the sixth teen (Boyd) set the thing all crazy. Of course, Michael figured this out first.
So, in order to protect his friends, he did what he had to - he quit the group. He knew that Boyd needed more help than he did, so he split for parts unknown (eventually ending up at the Clinic). The team didn't use the Psi-Hawk for a year after that incident, during which time Emmett's driving influence on the thing waned considerably. By the time the youths needed it again, it was different.
When Wayne Tucker, Tyrone Jessup, Kathy Ling, Thomas Boyd, and Lindsay Falmon formed the Psi-Hawk in Washington D.C., it wasn't being controlled by an otherworldly intelligence at all: it was being steered directly by the minds of the youths that generated it. Tucker discovered that this was Emmett's ultimate plan, a forging of their minds into one incredibly potent defensive weapon.
However, this weapon ultimately failed Psi-Force, and Rodstvow spent an agonizingly long time killing the Psi-Hawk after defeating it. The evil Russian dispersed the Psi-Hawk's essence across the earth, an event that threw the Psi-Force youths into comas for months, and critically augmented Tucker's telepathic powers. On the down side, the Psi-Hawk was gone for good.
Or so it seemed.
Six years later, the Psi-Hawk was seen beating the crud out of Quasar during that whole Starblast debacle. As such, Psi-Force is apparently still capable of generating their psionic fusion. I believe that this happened because Michael Crawley wasn't involved in the Washington D.C. battle with Rodstvow, and as such, Rodstvow wasn't able to destroy that tiny, last little bit of the Hawk.
Further, since Emmett's influence on the mental fusion that is the Psi-Hawk is virtually gone, and since the Psi-Force directly controls it now, I strongly believe that more than five folks can now generate the thing. And this, of course, makes the Hawk even more useful than before, as it can now utilize more than five people's powers at once. More useful, and more... dangerous...
