Natural Psi-Powers:

Energy Conversion:
Michael has the potent ability to convert the potential energy within any object (or person) into kinetic energy, typically causing it to explode. He wields this power at intensity 13, causing an amount of damage to his target equal to his total action score with each use of this ability. He usually tries not to use this power against people directly, however.

He'll either blow up their stuff or their clothing, as opposed to hitting them directly with this ability.

Trained Psi-Powers:

Gestalt:
Michael, along with the rest of the original members of Psi-Force, was taught how to create a powerful being by combining his psychic essence with that of several other psionic individuals; he could do this at intensity 5. Once this power was initiated, the Psi-Hawk would manifest over the bodies of the concentrating psis, using their combined powers and knowledge.

Michael has shown this one power stunt with the Gestalt power:

* Mind Shift: originally, the Psi-Hawk was portrayed as some sort of spectral, other-worldly entity. However, it was revealed that the Hawk was simply an amalgamation of the minds that concentrated upon bringing it into existence. Though all of the people that formed it controlled it at once, one person could take charge if they needed to. See the specific Psi-Hawk entry for more information on this.

Hindrances:

Naive:
during the beginning of his life, Michael suffered from chronic gullibility. He could be duped into doing just about anything by a persuasive person, though he has defeated this particular problem by waking up to the harsh realities of the world. While he was in that state, however, he made (and reacted to) surprise attacks as if his ability scores were zero.

Near-Sightedness: Michael can barely see without his thick, round-rimmed glasses. Should he lose them somehow (as they do present an appealing target in a fight) his strength and agility scores should be considered zero for the purposes of combat. Until he gets them back, at least...

Skills:

Biology:
one of Michael's scholarly passions is biology. He tends to know all sorts of things about most living beings, except, of course, people. Any action he must resolve concerning knowledge about living things should be treated as one difficulty level lower than usual.

Chemistry: Michael also enjoys learning things about chemicals and chemical reactions; he has the periodic table memorized. Any action he must resolve concerning knowledge about atomic or chemical reactions should be treated as one difficulty level lower than usual.

Computers: after his Psi-Force eventually found him again, Michael was likely trained in advanced computer operations by the Medusa Web. He can program, hack, and to some extent, design computer systems.

Espionage: Michael also picked up this skill after hooking up with Psi-Force again. It shows his training in surveillance techniques, spotting minor details about a subject, operating 'spy' equipment, and of course, detecting whether or not he's being followed.

Knives: after he eventually hooked back up with Psi-Force, it is assumed that Michael received the same combat training that the rest of the group did. As such, he likely has the ability to competently use a knife, either to defend himself or to attack another.

Marksmanship: along a similar vein, it is assumed that, after rejoining Psi-Force, Michael was trained in the use of various firearms, should his psychokinetic power fail him. He uses guns at one difficulty level lower than is normally required.

Military: the final skill that Michael probably received from the Medusa Web is a basic understanding of military protocols. He can decipher military plans, lead a body of troops, and otherwise function in a militaristic setting (like the Medusa Web).

Physics: finally, another of Michael's pet areas of research is the science of physical law. He enjoys figuring out why things work the way they do. He treats actions concerning physics-type matters as if they were one difficulty level lower than usual.

Calling:

Responsibility of Power:
Michael Crawley hates his power. He's always been sort of an oddball, but after he developed his psychokinetic abilities, he became a true freak in his own mind. At any rate, he has resolved to use them to either keep himself out of trouble or to protect others (if possible).

Costume:

Black pants, black leather jacket with stylized red hawk head on front.

Personality:

As is sort of described above, Michael is sort of a 'spaz', as he loves scientific things with a zeal most people cannot comprehend. However, he is quickly maturing, and is slowly developing into quite a brave little guy.

Real Name: Michael Crawley
Occupation: vigilante, former student
Legal Status: U.S. citizen wanted by most authorities
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: Bazooka
Group Affiliation: Psi-Force, the Medusa Web

Height: 5' 4" (but he may have gotten taller)
Hair: blonde
Eyes: blue
Weight: 105 lbs (though this, too may have increased)
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: his big, round-rimmed glasses

Story:

Michael Crawley was always without a family, his dad having died when he was a baby, and his mom being put in an insane asylum soon after. He floated about orphanages and foster homes for years, until the day of the White Event.

Crawley developed his psychokinesis power soon after, and ran away from home at the mental prompting of Emmett Proudhawk. He eventually made his way to San Francisco, where the rogue C.I.A. agent was collecting psionic folks inadvertently endangered by his work.

Soon after they met, Proudhawk was killed, though he showed the teens how to form the Psi-Hawk before his death at the hands of the Soviet psi known as Mindwolf. Crawley stayed with the other psis, having nowhere else to go, and feeling compelled to do so or some reason.

Crawley stayed with the Psi-Force until Thomas Boyd joined the group, and the team found out that the Psi-Hawk was extremely dangerous when more than five people generate it. He decided it was best that he leave them, and made for parts unknown.

He eventually ended up at the Clinic, a place built to help paranormal beings with nowhere else to go. He stayed there until the place was destroyed in a battle with local police. While this confict raged, Michael fled the facility with Scuzz (of D.P.7) and several other youthful paranormals.

These youths wandered the country for a time, jokingly calling themselves the D.D. Teens, until they were involved in a nasty car wreck while fleeing from the authorities (they were caught stealing food from a grocery store). Though several of the kids were killed in this wreck, Michael (and Scuzz) survived.

While Scuzz eventually made his way to New York City, only to join a White Eventist cult, Michael found his way back to Psi-Force, and presumably joined up with the Medusa Web as well. This was implied in the last issue of Psi-Force, though it has yet to be shown in comic-dom...
