Natural Psi-Powers:

Teleportation / Gateway: Sedara wields a specialized form of the teleportation power; she doesn't teleport, per se, but she can instead open portals from one location to another. While she concentrates on keeping this rectangular doorway open (an average difficulty teleportation action), anybody can pass through the doorway. Sedara uses this power at intensity 12.

One limitation that Sedara has concerning this power is that she cannot open a doorway to a location that she has not herself been to. However, this limitation can be defeated by any telepath that shares with her a location that they have been to; this allows Sedara to open her doorway to the location that this telepath is thinking about. So far, Sedara has demonstrated this one power stunt:

* Dimensional Blades: Sedara has manifested a terribly lethal ability, the power to form two-dimensional beams of cutting energy, based upon her gateway power. If used against a living target, these intensity 12 blades will ignore his strength for the purposes of defense, though any specialized defensive powers do protect against this deadly ability.

Usually, then, Sedara limits her use of this power against people unless she fully intends on killing them (or simply wants to cut 'em up a bit...).

Skills:

Computers: after joining Psi-Force / the Medusa Web, Sedara was presumably trained in advanced computer operations by the Medusa Web. She can program, hack, and to some extent, design computer systems.

Espionage: Sedara also picked up this skill after hooking up with Psi-Force and the Medusa Web. It shows her training in surveillance techniques, spotting minor details about a subject, operating 'spy' equipment, and of course, detecting whether or not she's being followed.

Knives: an experienced freedom fighter, Sedara knows how to use a knife with competence; after all, what else do you have when you've run out of bullets? She performs actions with a knife at one difficulty level lower than is usually required.

Languages / Afghanistani and English: out of necessity, Sedara has learned to speak English in addition to her native tongue. This was so that she could communicate with the American mercenaries that were aiding the Mujahedin efforts.

Marksmanship: another skill gained during her time as a Mujahedin rebel, this talent demonstrates Sedara's ability to use most firearms with remarkable skill; in fact, she makes attacks with such weapons at one difficulty level lower than is normally necessary.

Military: though she grew up in a paramilitary environment, Sedara didn't receive proper military training until she hooked up with the Medusa Web, such as deciphering military plans, leading a body of troops, and otherwise functioning in a militaristic setting (like the Medusa Web).

Survival: living on the run for years, hiding out from Soviet forces intent on eliminating her and her kin, Sedara has learned to subsist off the land. She can gather suitable food and drinking water despite her surroundings, no matter how hostile they may be.

Calling:

Soldier, later Repentant: originally happy to be a soldier of the Mujahedin, Sedara has come to regret the constant death that she has perpetrated in order to free her nation. She is now attemping to wash her hands of that excessive violence, though it is implied that Sedara didn't quite suceed at this (in the last issue of Psi-Force, that is).

Personality:

Little is truly known about Sedara Bakut, as she only appeared in one issue of Psi-Force -- the last one. However, she was shown to be a rather brave and honorable warrior in that issue, fighting for what she believed in.

Story:

Sedara Bakut was a member of the Mujahedin freedom fighters, a small army dedicated to removing the Soviets that had conquered their land from it. She fought with them for several years, at a very young age, watching most of her relatives die, one by one.

She was present on a fateful mission to destroy a Soviet arms shipment to Iran, when it was ambushed -- a traitor in their camp had revealed the group's plan. Most of the freedom fighters died, but Sedara managed to transport the survivors to safety.

Later, she returned to the Soviet base holding the arms, in order to learn who the traitor was, when she encountered Psi-Force. They were also there to destroy those arms, as well as to recruit Sedara into Psi-Force, on the behalf of the Medusa Web, if possible.

Sedara joined up with the vigilantes, helping them destroy the place, and took them back to their camp, where Psi-Force helped to identify the traitor in their group: Sedara's own father. After killing him, Sedara decided she'd had enough of war, and left the country with Psi-Force.

Sedara remained with Psi-Force for some time afterward, helping them to make the world a better place, and furthering the Medusa Web's goals...
