Natural Psi-Powers:
Energy Duplicate: this unique power allows Tyrone to project forth from his body an energy-based duplicate of himself. While projecting this energy vessel for his consciousness, Tyrone's physical body lies comatose, unable to act (though it is easily acted upon...). Tyrone wields this power at intensity 14, and his energy duplicate could use the following abilities:
* Flight: while his consciousness resides within his energy duplicate, it could move about the world with intensity 27 flight; though composed primarily of light, Tyrone could still only steer at the speed of thought, which for him is still quite quick. He can cross the entire United States in a matter of minutes, though he normally doesn't have a need to.
* Invulnerability to Kinetic Attacks: while it is intangible and unable to physically manipulate its surroundings, Tyrone's energy duplicate is totally invulnerable to the effects of physical attacks itself. Fists, weapons, and the like completely pass through Tyrone's light form. He is not immune to energy attack, however.
* Motion Projection: one trick that Tyrone has mastered with this power is the ability to fire his energy duplicate out of his body, recon a defined area, and return to his body before it could even fall to the ground; this action takes about a second, and allows him to gauge potential threats before these threats even know he is there (or can at all spot him).
* Resistance to Energy Attacks: while it is not invulnerable to energy attack like it is physical assaults, Tyrone's energy form is nonetheless highly resistant to such forms of harm. In essence, his energy duplicate possesses +10 resistance to attacks based on focused energy (which, with its strength being zero, comes in real handy...).
This is how Tyrone's abilities worked for the first fifteen months he had them. However, on the eve of the Pitt incident, Tyrone's powers began to change somewhat. For instance, while he couldn't actually affect his environment before (aside from observing it, and talking to people within), he began to manifest the ability to perceive and control various forms of energy. These new energy manipulation abilities are:
* Detection / Energy: Tyrone's first new power was the ability to feel the various forces of energy around him. He could single out radio transmissions, see special patterns of light, and could even perceive the bizarre, paradoxical energies of the Star Brand which permeated the Pitt area. He could detect ambient energy types at intensity 10.
* Electrical Control: Tryone's main ability to control energy revolved around electricity. At first, he could only disrupt electricity by passing his energy body through it, but after Psi-Hawk's apparent demise, he gained the ability to fire bolts of electricity (as his energy duplicate ability was fluctuating wildly). He could perform these two effects at intensity 13.
* Light Control: Tyrone's only established ability concerning his light control so far is the ability to use the lightshow power stunt, which allows him to alter the color and brightness of existing light. He mostly used this upon his own energy form, allowing it to look normal for a time (in its natural state, it is a ghostly white color). He uses light control at intensity 5.
* Sonic Control: so far, Tyrone has only demonstrated that he can, in addition to using the standard uses of this power, wield the sonic scream power stunt, affecting everybody within firing distance with a full intensity sound attack by pushing this power. He only wields this power at intensity 5, however, so this is mostly useful for raining broken glass (or some such) on his opponents.
Trained Psi-Powers:
Gestalt: Tyrone, along with the rest of the original members of Psi-Force, was taught how to create a powerful being by combining his psychic essence with that of several other psionic individuals; he could do this at intensity 5. Once this power was initiated, the Psi-Hawk would manifest over the bodies of the concentrating psis, using their combined powers and knowledge.
Tyrone has shown this one power stunt with the Gestalt power:
* Mind Shift: originally, the Psi-Hawk was portrayed as some sort of spectral, other-worldly entity. However, it was revealed that the Hawk was simply an amalgamation of the minds that concentrated upon bringing it into existence. Though all of the people that formed it controlled it at once, one person could take charge if they needed to. See the specific Psi-Hawk entry for more information on this.
The most important thing to keep in mind about Tyrone and his powers are that he has not yet had the ability to truly develop them to any great extent. Should he get the chance to, he could easily be counted one of the most powerful paranormals around, as his various energy control powers (combined with his relative invulnerability in his energy form) make him an extremely dangerous opponent.
Hindrances:
Physical Disability - Unable to Walk: after Rodstvow blew up the Sanctuary, Tyrone's physical body took a severe beating. He received third degree burns over a majority of his body, and his ability to walk under his own power was supposedly lost. While Tyrone was bound to a wheelchair for a time, he eventually got better, overcoming this hindrance in time.
Skills:
Aerial Combat: having had over two years of practice in the use of his flying abilities (if in his energy duplicate), Tyrone can use his agility instead of his intellect for the purposes of determining the order of action declaration during aerial combat.
Computers: after his Psi-Force pals sprung him from the government's paranormal fighting force, Tyrone was trained in advanced computer operations by the Medusa Web. He can program, hack, and to some extent, design computer systems.
Espionage: Tyrone also picked up this skill after hooking up with Psi-Force and the Medusa Web again. It shows his training in surveillance techniques, spotting minor details about a subject, operating 'spy' equipment, and of course, detecting whether or not he's being followed.
Marksmanship: while in the military, Tyrone was forced to train in the use of small to medium scale projectile weapons of every sort. In short, he can reduce the difficulty of attacks wielding guns by one difficulty level (if he's not using his energy duplicate powers, of course).
Military: forced to join the military by the paranormal Draft, Tyrone was forced to absorb the many facets of military protocol. He can decipher military plans, lead a body of troops, and otherwise function in a militaristic setting (like the Medusa Web).
Calling:
Protector, later Uncontrolled Power: when he first gained his paranormal powers, Tyrone tried to act as the glue which held Psi-Force together. While his abilities didn't help him to do this very much, he tried to help and protect his only friends as best as he could. After the death of the Psi-Hawk, however, Tryone lost control of his abilites, and was fearful of accidentally killing anybody with them.
As of his last appearance, he was working to regain a mastery of his various energy manipulative powers, and had regained the use of his legs. As such, his final calling is as of yet unknown.
Costume:
Black pants, black 'muscle' shirt with stylized red hawk head on front.
Personality:
Tyrone has always been a team player. Ever since high school, he worked well in a team, a trait that has helped him to keep Psi-Force together through their early years. He's an honest, trustworthy guy, and a true hero.

Story:
Tyrone was a youth about to run away from home when his paranormal powers decided to manifest a day or so after the White Event. Thanks to the mental prompting of Emmett Proudhawk, he decided to do it, and fled his home for the streets of San Francisco.
He eventually hooked up with the rest of Psi-Force, and having nowhere else to go, decided to hang around for a time. Tyrone was present at the death of Emmett Proudhawk, who was slain by the Russian paranormal known as Mindwolf.
Tyrone and the enraged teens decided to get even with this murderer, and summoned forth the Psi-Hawk to help them do so. This being was generated by the combined essences of the psionic youths, and was able to defeat their enemy in no time flat.
After this incident, Psi-Force remained in their Sanctuary for the most part, until the Russian paranormal known as Rodstvow destroyed it. Tyrone was severely wounded in this blast, suffering severe burns across his body.
His body was left in a local hospital, but his mind was still functioning. Tyrone mentally projected his energy form to escape the pain his body was in, and was able to join his friend Wayne in Seattle, to help him escape the pursuit of the Medusa Web, who were out to get him.
During this time, Tyrone met and befriended Andrew Chaser, an investigative reporter who'd become interested in Psi-Force, and the government's quest to bring them in. The two exchanged information on various subjects, which led to the rescue of the rest of Psi-Force.
Wayne, Tyrone, and their new pal Lindsay journeyed back to America (after hiding out in Canada) and freed Thomas Boyd from the Army (he'd been Drafted). With that extra help, the team freed their other captive pals from a military hospital, and planned their future.
They decided to break into another military facility to find out who was after them, and to get the dirt on their operations, but someone had beaten them there. It was Rodstvow. He'd pretty much cleaned the place out, and thanks to this, the soldiers inside were rather... angry.
They pretty much shot the Psi-Force down on sight. Thanks to Anastasia, the team healer, the team was saved from death, though at the cost of Anastasia's very life. This made the team very angry, and they decided to get even with the army and Rodstvow both.
They summoned forth the Psi-Hawk, and did battle with Rodstvow over the streets of Washington D.C., totalling the city in the process. The Psi-Hawk lost its battle with the Russian, however, and was apparently destroyed in the process.
After this, Tyrone awoke in his San Francisco hospital bed, where he was promptly carried off by the Feds to be Drafted. He was still crippled from the Sanctuary explosion, but this didn't matter to them; they just wanted the paranormal for their own purposes.
Tyrone stayed in the army for the rest of the Psi-Force comic. However, the last issue hinted that the team eventually broke him out, too, and he rejoined Psi-Force as well. Since he wasn't in the War (the 'end' of the New Universe line), I'm assuming this was the case.
