M.A.X. Armor, Mark 3 The M.A.X. Armor, Mark 3, is an armor suit built by Jenny Swensen, in conjunction with the U.S. government. For the duration of time that she worked for the government (well, willingly, anyway), Jenny used the suit for Project: Spitfire, a special arm of the C.I.A. created to deal with M.A.X. technology proliferation. After her break with the government in the aftermath of the Pitt incident, the armor was donned by Jake Travest, all around wacko, who used the suit to do whatever the Project needed; he lacked those odd moral qualms that Swensen seemed subject to, and as such, was a 'perfect' candidate for Spitfire pilot. However, the Spitfire suit failed to defeat a large group of paranormals on a mission in Canada, and the Mark 3 was blown to bits; however, both the Project and the Medusa Web have the capability to rebuild it. This armor suit is a distinct improvement over both the Mark 1 and Mark 2 armors. The Mark 3 M.A.X. Armor (i) has these capabilities: Ability Boost: the Mark 3 M.A.X. armor enhances the strength of its pilot at intensity 8, up to a maximum value of 13. Furthermore, it can also boost the agility of the pilot as well, at intensity 5, for a maximum enhanced agility score of 10. Absorption: the Mark 3 M.A.X. armor can absorb electrical energies at intensity 14. It can either use this purloined energy as a secondary backup power source, or wield it as an electrical attack through the armor's gauntlets (at the same intensity). Backup Power: the Mark 3 M.A.X. suit is equipped with at least one reserve supply of power, in the event that its main power is lost somehow. This is especially necessary considering where the suit was meant to be used. Body Armor: as a suit of armor, the Mark 3 M.A.X. suit provides its pilot intensity 13 defense against harm. This defense replaces the pilot's standard protection against harm (unless, of course, his is higher than that provided by the M.A.X. suit). C.P.U.: this powerful onboard computer allows for the automation of several functions of the Mark 3 M.A.X. suit, especially involving the sensor suite. In fact, the pilot of the suit can pretty much make it run searches for him, saving him time to beat things up. Comm-Link: the Mark 3 M.A.X. suit can communicate with a control center with significant range; the exact limits of its radio transceiver is unknown, but it can pick up and receive transmissions from hundreds of miles distant. Flight: moving via foot-mounted jet thrusters, the Mark 3 M.A.X. armor can achieve intensity 7 flight, which rates in at about 225 miles per hour. This flight produces fiery exhaust, which can be used as an intensity 7 fiery attack against an opponent in a kicking action... Gatling Cannon: mounted on the M.A.X. armor's right shoulder, this deadly weapon of war can be used as a +3 weapon against everybody within firing range, or as a +5 weapon against a single target. It's real nasty... Laser Cannon: mounted on the back of the Mark 3 M.A.X. suit's wrists, these weapons emit an intensity 13 laser beam that can cut through materials of equal or lesser material strength, or inflict like damage to living tissues. Life Support (air): the Mark 3 suit offers its pilot intensity 15 life support, limited to air, in the event that breathable atmosphere should disappear. This supply of air lasts for about four hours, which can come in handy in a pinch. Magnetic Grappler: this weapon, mounted in the M.A.X. armor's left hand, can be used to seize ferrous objects from a target via magnetic attraction. Treat this as if it were an intensity 10 telekinetic grabbing attack against applicable targets. Piggyback Turbo Booster: this optional add-on device is essentially a back-mounted jet pack. When this extra is added on to the Mark 3 M.A.X. suit, it can fly at about mach 4 (or, in game terms, at intensity 13 - more or less). Rocket Brace (firing weapon): this optional add-on weapon is loaded with six surface to air missiles. Each of these weapons are +5 projectiles, though the M.A.X. pilot can fire all of the rockets at a single target for a total of +7 damage in one hit, if he so chooses. Sensor Suite: the Mark 3 M.A.X. armor is equipped with four types of electronic sensory equipment. The first is an infrared / thermal scanning capability, an ability that functions at intensity 12 (six (6) if it isn't currently dark outside the M.A.X. suit). The second sensory capability of the Mark 3 suit is its ability to locate a target within its line of sight, and identify it to the pilot (even if the pilot himself couldn't actually see said target). This visual recognition hardware functions at intensity 10. The third is a powerful voice-print recognition system. This advanced scanning technology allows the pilot of the Mark 3 M.A.X. suit to track a target, via his voice alone, throughout a fifty mile range (or crowded metropolitan area). This works at intensity 10. The fourth (and final) sensory package the Mark 3 suit is equipped with is a comprehensive R.A.D.A.R. unit, which allows it to spot any significant objects (larger than a pigeon) within line of sight range. This unit works at intensity 12. Sonic Couplings: mounted in the Mark 3 M.A.X. armor's left hand, this potent energy weapon allows the pilot to hit everybody within striking distance with a mix of sound frequencies at variable amplitudes, which produces an intensity 10 stunning attack (per the stun blast power).
