Hysteria

Origin:

Like her fellow, insane wanderers, Mrs. Kaminski is a paranormal, an otherwise ordinary human who acquired her powers in the wake of the White Event, that bizarre and unexplained (to most folks) astronomical occurrence that struck the earth back in '86.

Known Powers:

Emotion Control / Fear: Mrs. Kaminski has the unique ability to broadcast emotions to everybody within one cubic area of her person. To date, she has only demonstrated the power to cause folks to quake in fear and dread, but this is nonetheless an effective power. Functioning at Remarkable (30) rank, this ability helps her get away with all kinds of things while others flee in terror.

Gullibility: aside from her other, undisclosed mental problems, Mrs. Kaminski has demonstrated the inability to see through the deceptions of others, especially that Dean fellow. In order to not take what such folks say at face value, she must pass a psyche FEAT roll at -1 CS.

Very little is known about the people that Mrs. Kaminski has known through the years. However, it has been shown that both Dean and Mr. Lovejoy seem to be relying on her to keep them fed and otherwise alive, so it is likely that they will help her should she, in turn, need it.

Costume:

Not a hero, and not a villain, Mrs. Kaminski doesn't wear a super-tight spandex suit into conflict. Instead, she only wears normal clothing while doing her day to day things, which in her one appearance included a long sleeved, pink shirt, brown trousers, and gray shoes.

Personality:

Mrs. Kaminski seems to be the brains of the outfit, the one sensible person out of her gaggle of nutcases. She tries to be reasonable in most situations, but knowns when violence is necessary. Also, she seems to have adopted fellow inmate Dean as a sort of wayward son...

Story:

Not much is known about Mrs. Kaminski's origins, other than that she has some unidentified mental problems. She was institutionalized in a mental hospital for some time, a period in which she developed startling mental abilities, namely the power to make others quake with overwhelming fear and dread. These powers are, of course, a result of the so-called White Event.

In any event, she used her empathic abilities to escape her mental hospital alongside another empath, who she knows as Dean, because it was apparently a good idea at the time. After they broke out, the duo of mentally unbalanced paranormals made their way around the surrounding area, foraging for food and shelter, usually illegally so, at which point they encountered Mr. Lovejoy.

Though this man was sane before he encountered Mrs. Kaminski and her erstwhile traveling partner, he was forever changed after extensive exposure to Dean's rage powers, and transformed into an animalistic beastie bent on destruction. Of course, this extended state of agitation drew forth Lovejoy's own paranormal powers, and as such, Kaminski decided to keep him around.

This was because, in sharp contrast to her and Dean's powers, his were primarily physical in nature. Mr. Lovejoy indeed came in handy after Ken Connell discovered their presence near his apartment, and tried to take all three of 'em to get professional help. Lovejoy's physical power enhanced by Dean's rage, alongside her own powers focused against Ken, managed to take him down.

Instead of beating him into a pulp while he was down, Mrs. Kaminski simply collected her two crazy pals and, after piling them into her car, took off for parts unknown. As they haven't been seen since, it is likely that these nutcases haven't encountered any other super heroes, so they are probably wandering the deserted byways of the United States to this very day...
