Powers:
Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Autobots, Optimus Prime is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this legendary warrior has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Optimus Prime these super human powers:
* Body Armor (s): like most Cybertronians, Optimus Prime was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him +2 resistance to injury. This makes him immune to most basic human attack forms, and exceptionally resistant to his fellow robots (taking his Strength into consideration).
* Growth (a): most Cybertronians have a degree of control over their size, no matter their form. Due to his significant height in his humanoid mode, Optimus Prime has this power via technicality; he may very well grow somewhat while transforming, but doesn't appear to do so.
This power is bound in Optimus Prime's case by the Permanent limitation, meaning that Optimus Prime is always 16 foot tall in his humanoid mode. Due to his size, Optimus Prime possesses this power at intensity 4, and while it's permanent, the requisite Strength and Agility changes are not applied.
This since his foes often vary in size considerably; the Autobots are not all die-cast from the same mold. For the sake of simplicity, one could just apply those alterations and call it a day, or he may go for accuracy and vary them based on the size of his current opponent; whichever works for your game.
* Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins (s): like all robots, Optimus Prime is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses complete immunity to organic pathogens, and a 'mere' +10 resistance to other, more chemically creative substances.
* Microscopic + Telescopic Vision (w): all Transformers can alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at intensity 2, these powers let them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.
* Radio Transceiver (i): as are most all Transformers on earth, Optimus Prime is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian on earth, having intensity 10 power (25,000 mile range).
Blaze Blaster (i): these powerful energy emitters, mounted on Optimus Prime's back (they're his emergency lights in his fire truck mode) can be used to devastating effect in battle. They can fire twin laser beams capable of inflicting intensity 19 energy damage when used in concert.
Blizzard Blast (i): one of two streams he can emit from his fire hoses in ultimate mode, this attack allows Optimus Prime to spray super-chilled water at an opponent, which instantly freezes on impact to inflict intensity 20 energy damage, and automatically utilizes the Ensnarement stunt of Cold Control.
Fist of Steel (s): while in his basic mode, Optimus Prime can summon forth his ultimate form's fists from his base platform, allowing him to inflict additional damage in melee combat. When he dons his fists of steel, Optimus Prime can use them to inflict damage as though he were wielding +2 weapons.
Flying Fist (a): alternately, Optimus Prime can fling forth his ultimate form's fists from his base platform as a powerful ranged attack, thanks to a built-in catapult. When used in this fashion, these oversized fists can inflict intensity 18 physical damage per heavy-handed strike.
Gestalt (a): Optimus Prime is an extremely powerful warrior in his own right; when sufficiently motivated, there is little that can stand in his way. However, when even his might is not enough, he can combine with his brother, Ultra Magnus, to form Omega Prime; this is an intensity 20 power.
Headlights (i): to better emulate earthen vehicles (and since they come in handy in the dark), most automotive Transformers on earth are equipped with a set of convenient headlights. These twin lamps can be used to generate intensity 8 illumination, making driving at night no problem.
Penetration Vision (w): another handy optical power that Optimus Prime possesses is his ability to peer through solid matter to see what's inside it - or on the other side of a barrier, for instance. This power functions at intensity 18 (18' penetration), meaning very little escapes Optimus' attention.
Power Stream (i): the usual fire hose weapon he wields in his ultimate mode, Optimus Prime's power stream consists of an irresistible jet of water that he can use to quench fires - or most conflicts, really. The power stream can apply up to intensity 20 force to a person, place, or thing when necessary.
Pulse Blaster (i): in his ultimate mode, Optimus Prime can fire twin blasts of energy from the two antenna on each side of his head. He rarely uses these weapons, possibly saving them for surprise attack tactics. He can use them to inflict intensity 20 energy damage per strike.
Rotary Strike / Gyro Strike (s): in his ultimate mode, Optimus Prime can strike an opponent with the spinning wheels that are placed on his knees, with multiple effects. These can be used to inflict +2 physical damage or, if charged with power, a like amount of energy damage.
Shape Change (a): whenever he wishes to, Optimus Prime can initiate an intricate transformation between one of several functional modes. Primarily, he can switch from a fire truck into a humanoid form, one that does not make use of the truck's rear; this instead transforms into a battle platform.
Optimus Prime's fire truck mode can move as though it were possessed of intensity 5 Lightning Speed, allowing it to move along on (well-maintained) roads at up to 100 miles per hour - very impressive for a vehicle of his size. Of course, less than perfect roads require him to drive slower.
When he needs a bit of extra firepower, Optimus Prime can merge both his humanoid and base platform modes into a sort of 'ultimate' mode. Both of these transformations are, of course, voice-activated ('Optimus Prime, Transform!', 'Optimus Prime, Battle Mode!').
When he combines his humanoid and base platform modes into his ultimate form, Optimus Prime receives several benefits. For one thing, his Strength is enhanced by +2, making him incredibly powerful - which is why he's probably so evenly matched with his arch-nemesis, Megatron.
Furthermore, this grants him the ability to utilize his gyro strike, power stream, blizzard blast, and pulse blaster attacks - all of which are incredibly potent, and give Optimus Prime all sorts of attack form options. Finally, it seems that he can only use his Matrix-enhancements in his ultimate mode.
Strafe Attack (i): when in his normal humanoid mode, Optimus Prime can draw forth twin, shoulder-mounted missile launchers from his base platform. With these, he can fire a very large salvo of miniature rockets at an opponent, which (as a whole) inflict intensity 20 damage per volley.
Telescoping Ladder (a): finally, one capability that Optimus Prime has in only his fire truck mode, this allows him to stretch the ladder he wields on top of his form an incredible length if necessary. This function operates at intensity 9, allowing him a 30 yard reach, give or take.
Equipment:
Compression Pistol (i): though his body is armed to the proverbial teeth with attack forms, Optimus Prime nonetheless carries a blaster with him in his normal humanoid mode. Stored in subspace when not in use, this weapon can be fired to inflict intensity 18 concussion damage per blast.
the Matrix (w): the Matrix is an incredibly powerful computer meta-program that can be used by its chosen wielder for various purposes. The current bearer of the Matrix, Optimus Prime, has demonstrated but a few uses of it's nigh-irresistible power thus far, as he hasn't really needed to.
Currently, he has used the Matrix to attain 'penultimate power' in battle when he was driven to the point of manic rage by Scourge and Ruination. When he taps the Matrix thus, all of his ability and power scores are raised by +2 - and he is surrounded by an eerie, otherworldly green glow.
Of course, this is but the clumsiest use of the Matrix's power. In the past, it has done everything from controlling electronic and mechanical devices to granting life to lifeless electromechanical matter, and even destroyed the planet-eater, Unicron, at the moment of its greatest triumph!
In other words, the Matrix can do a great many things, but most of these are shrouded in mystery. In game terms, Optimus should only use his 'penultimate power' under the most sparing of conditions, otherwise he only wields the Matrix when giving lifeless robots their very own Spark.
This entails creating life from the lifeless, making robots of Cybertronian (or other, sufficiently advanced) design truly living, sentient beings. When such a being is created, Optimus can hold some sway over what personality may emerge, but ultimately the Matrix decides what life it will create.
Hindrances:
(none)
Skills:
Leadership (w): more than anything else, Optimus Prime is a leader renowned throughout the galaxy - if not the universe itself. Whenever a group of people (or robots) are following his leadership, they receive a +1 to all their actions; if they lose this leadership, this transforms into a -1 penalty on all actions.
Marksmanship (a): supplementing his already impressive dexterity, Optimus Prime is a very good marksman, and rarely misses his target. Whenever he's wielding any sort of advanced weaponry, such as his compression pistol, he may do so at a reduced difficulty level.
Military (w): in addition to his leadership skills, Optimus Prime is also a competent soldier with thousands upon thousands of years of combat experience under his belt. He is a master of battle tactics, and can usually outwit most any foe with a good plan given enough time to conjure one up.
Calling:
Protector, with a secondary calling of Exemplar: it's no secret that Optimus Prime is a highly skilled and experienced warrior, but that's not what he's all about. No, Optimus Prime lives to serve, to protect others who cannot protect themselves, and strives to be an example to his fellow Autobots.
Likeness:
In his vehicular mode, Optimus Prime looks just like a red fire truck, if slightly futuristic in design, one with blue-tinted windows, red emergency lights, and a silvery ladder on back. In his normal humanoid mode, he appears to be a rather tall robot built from the various parts of a fire truck - with blue trim in places.
In his ultimate humanoid mode, Optimus Prime still appears to be built from the parts of a futuristic fire truck, albeit one with said parts being arranged in a different configuration. This form looks much more noble in nature, and is adorned with more blue and silver trim throughout.
Personality:
While he is a seasoned warrior and a legendary leader, Optimus Prime longs for the time when his talents are no longer necessary. He has a deep-seeded love for all life, no matter what form it may manifest in, and will do absolutely everything he must to protect it from evil.

Story:
Optimus Prime is an Autobot with a long, long list of accomplishments behind him. He was a hero of the Cybertonian Civil Wars way back when, and his heroism was so great that he was awarded the Matrix by the one and only Vector Sigma as a result - and thus leadership of all the Autobots.
While he is a great warrior, Optimus longs for nothing but peace, and wishes that all life could be spared from violence and tyranny. As such, when Optimus Prime learned that Megatron was headed to earth, along with a small gang of his Predacon minions, he leapt into action with his own subordinates.
Literally arriving years in advance of Megatron's Megastar, Optimus Prime and his fellows went about preparing for their eventual coming. While his build team constructed a global space bridge network, one that would allow the Autobots access to anywhere on earth, the rest blended in.
Optimus Prime himself took to working as a simple fire truck in a Tokyo fire station, doing his part to put out fires and save lives as he waited for Megatron's arrival. When this occurred, he and his most trusted followers, the Autobot Brothers, leapt into action against the Predacons.
Though they drove the villains off in their very first earth-bound conflict, Optimus Prime failed to prevent Megatron from kidnapping an expert on earth-based forms of energy: Dr. Onishi. Though he failed in this, Optimus vowed to his son Koji, and to the rest of the world, to save him from the Predacons.
And to rid the earth of their villainous presence once and for all! To this end, Optimus slowly began to call more and more Autobots into the fight, some already on earth in a less martial role and some directly from Cybertron - though the situation on earth became trickier and trickier over time.
To begin with, Megatron reprogrammed several formerly lost Autobots in stasis to become his Deception army on earth, and later his own estranged brother, Ultra Magnus, arrived on earth in a bid to seize the Matrix for himself. Through all this, Megatron's schemes grew increasingly deadly as time passed.
While Optimus did manage to see Dr. Onishi rescued, no thanks to the bumbling of Sky-Bite, things took a turn for the worse when Megatron was seemingly slain - only to return as an undead Decepticon now calling himself Galvatron - who revealed his ultimate goal at long last.
Wanting to seize control of the mighty Fortress Maximus, an Autobot who had been sent from the far future to rest in a cave beneath Tokyo, Galvatron pulled all the stops in his bid to command this ultimate warrior and all his power - and he may have won if Optimus didn't finally reconcile with Magnus.
The two combining to form their gestalt, Omega Prime, they did battle with Galvatron in the very core of the earth. Though it took everything they had, Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus managed to defeat their intransigent foe once and for all, capturing the wily fiend at long, long last.
Locking him up in Fortress Maximus along with all of his other minions (save for Sky-Bite, who managed to escape), Optimus sent Ultra Magnus home in command of the behemoth Autobot while he and a few of his fellows removed the advanced technology they'd left scattered across the earth.
Once they were done, Optimus and company followed Magnus home... to Cybertron!
