* Amongst humans, at least. Am +50 amongst fellow Autobots, Am -50 amongst Predacons / Decepticons.
Origin:
Like his two brothers, as well as the rest of the Autobots on earth, Side Burn is an electromechanical being from Cybertron, a robot that strives to prevent Decepticon dominion of the universe. This alien may also be from another time period, making him doubly out of place on earth.
Known Powers:
Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Autobots, Side Burn is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this high-speed combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Side Burn these super human powers:
* Armor Skin: like most Cybertronians, Side Burn was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him Excellent (20) resistance to injury. This makes him immune to most basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots. His defense breaks down as follows:
Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Sh 0 / Sh 0
* Growth: most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. Due to his significant height in his humanoid mode, Side Burn has this power via technicality; he may very well grow somewhat while transforming, but doesn't appear to do so.
According to the standard Growth rules, Side Burn has this power at Good (10) rank, making him stand approximately fourteen feet tall. Since his Strength rank is higher, this offers him no combat benefit, but on the other hand, human-sized folks targeting Side Burn receive a +1 CS to hit him in battle.
The Ultimate Powers Book, however, gives Side Burn this power at Poor (4) rank, making him out to be a bit over twice a normal human's size. This would grant the youthful Autobot a +1 CS to the Strength score listed above (raising it to Incredible (40)), and adding 10 points to his Health score.
According to the Transformers MSH Sourcebook, on the other hand, Side Burn's statistics are geared towards mixing it up with beings of like size. As such, when fighting folks of normal human size, he should receive a +1 CS to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth).
Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Side Burn has a +1 size factor. As such, he inflicts +1 CS damage vs normal human opponents, and has 1 CS of Damage Reduction against them. On the other hand, he is at a -1 CS to hit them in combat, while they receive a +1 CS to hit him.
* Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins: like all robots, Side Burn is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses this resistance at Class 1k rank versus organic pathogens, and at Unearthly (100) versus more chemically creative substances.
* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power lets them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.
Exhaust Bowgun: inherent to his form in his Dodge Viper mode, this weapon detaches when Side Burn transforms, proving to be a highly effective sidearm. In addition to being able to fire Incredible (40) powered force beams, it can fire a projectile with these vehicular characteristics:

Damage In 40 Edged Attack |
This projectile, a highly versatile missile system, can be fired from the ground (surface to air or surface to surface mode), underwater (torpedo mode), or even in space (cosmic mode). The damage it inflicts affects everybody within one area of whatever it hits with like damage (splash effect).
Light Generation: Side Burn has several light-emitting powers. The most obvious is his ability to cast illumination from his headlights at Remarkable (30) rank, a feat that the young warrior can also duplicate with his eyes in robot mode; it comes from a different place, but is just as powerful.
However, he also has a much more deadly application of his light powers. He can emit an optical laser strike from his left eye, one which can easily take folks off guard if they're not prepared for it. This devastating beam can be used to inflict Incredible (40) Armor Piercing Energy damage per blast.
Penetration Vision: another handy optical power that Side Burn possesses is his ability to peer through solid matter to get a look at what's inside it - or on the other side of a barrier, for instance. This power functions at Monstrous (75) rank, meaning very little can escape Side Burn's attention.
If he's paying attention.
Shapechange: whenever he desires, Side Burn can transform between his humanoid and Dodge Viper mode, and often does so quickly in battle to maximize the use of his abilities. This power is voice-activated, however ("Side Burn, Transform!"). His Dodge Viper mode has these vehicular statistics:

S Un 100 |

P Ex 20 |
Spark Engine: after he was super-charged by Ultra Magnus' Matrix powers in battle, Side Burn was given a new spark engine to handle this additional energy - in order to make it more reliable. When he uses this engine, he transforms from blue to red in hue in an impressive discharge of power.
In addition to this spectacular visual, this engine grants Side Burn the ability to drive at speeds determined by the 'air' travel chart, not just the 'ground' chart (that's almost the speed of sound!) Furthermore, it enhances the power of his exhaust bowgun, dragsaber, and optical laser strike by +1 CS.
Teleportation: one power that Side Burn picked up as a result of having his new spark engine installed, this ability allows him to execute small warps on the highway. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power can be used to teleport ahead as far as he can clearly see down the road.
Triple Beam Attack: when they need to pool their resources, the three Autobot Brothers can, while using their spark engines, combine their weapons to emit a powerful energy assault. This combined blast of power is potent enough to inflict Unearthly (100) Energy damage per devastating blast.
Wall-Crawling: a curious power that Side Burn has demonstrated in the past, one usually only possessed by the Spychangers, is his ability to drive on any solid surface regardless of its orientation (walls, ceilings, etc...). Of course, he can only use this Incredible (40) ranked power in his Dodge Viper mode.
Equipment:
Dragsaber (Battle Blade): a secondary weapon he carries (just in case), this handy blade is made from Unearthly (100) m.s. metals, and allows him to inflict Edged Attack damage in melee. Additionally, it has a built-in blaster inside it, which can be fired to inflict Incredible (40) Force damage per shot.
Quirks:
Impulsiveness 2: brash and youthful, Side Burn tends to jump the gun, not thinking through the consequences of his actions, whether it be to woo a shiny new sports car or when inadvertently leaping into a Predacon trap. Side Burn must pass a Psyche FEAT at -2 CS to think things through in hectic situations.
Talents:
Advanced Guns: Side Burn wields more than one heavy duty, advanced energy weapon in battle, and he's been trained how to use them very well when necessary. Whenever he's got a blaster, particle beam emitter, rail gun, or any other advanced weapon in hand, he may use it at his Agy score +1 CS.
Marksman: in addition to his ability to use deluxe energy emitting weapons in combat, Side Burn has also evinced more than casual skill when wielding complex weaponry that functions within his line of sight (such as his exhaust bowgun). He also receives a +1 CS when using such devices.
Repair / Tinkering: the head of his class in mechanical repairs, Side Burn can fix most anything either mechanical or electrical (or both) in nature. As such, he should receive a +1 CS on any FEAT roll required when repairing or modifying an existing device.
Contacts:
Naturally, Side Burn can rely upon his two brothers, Prowl and X-Brawn, for assistance should he need it, no matter how he managed to get himself into trouble in the first place. He can also count the other Autobots on earth as allies, as well as the humans Dr. Onishi and Koji Onishi.
Likeness:
In his vehicle mode, Side Burn perfectly resembles a blue Dodge Viper, one with a blue-white flame job on the front and gold-tinted windows. When transformed into his humanoid form, Side Burn simply appears to be a robot decorated with blue Viper parts.
When he's in his 'Super Side Burn' state, he's red instead of blue, with a red-orange flame job.
Personality:
Side Burn is the youngest of the Autobot Brothers - and it shows. He's constantly getting himself into trouble one way or another, is always spouting off the one-liners, and has an unshakable, contagious enthusiasm. He's also got a bizarre attraction to red sports cars, one that distracts him from all his duties...

Story:
The exact origin of the Autobot called Side Burn isn't really known. You see, it is known that he comes from Cybertron, as does his fellows, but it isn't known if this is the Cybertron of a parallel earth, or the Cybertron of the future; this makes things regarding his background rather complicated.
However, it is known that he and his Autobot allies learned of the evil Megatron's designs on the planet earth, and as such, they hoofed it to beat the vile Predacon to that world. Arriving literally years before the would-be master of the universe, Side Burn and company had plenty of time to prepare.
Blending into human society by taking on the forms of earthen vehicles, the Autobots acted to help humanity in general as they prepared for the Predacon onslaught, at the same time building a powerful, global space bridge network that would allow them to drive anywhere on earth within minutes.
To best exemplify his personality, Side Burn chose the form of a Dodge Viper, a sleek, fast automobile. Whenever he's out on patrol - and usually when he is - Side Burn's constantly showing off his speed on the highways of earth. That, of course, when he's not wooing red sports cars.
He's got a bizarre attraction to them, you see, despite the fact that earth vehicles aren't sentient. This has gotten him into trouble several times, and the Predacons have used this to trip Side Burn up on more than one occasion. He's smart enough, and tough enough, that he usually wins out in the end, though.
In fact, Side Burn tends to do most of the direct combat with the Predacons on earth - alongside his two brothers. While the other Autobots are usually busy with their other duties, it falls upon Side Burn and his brothers to provide the earth's first line of defense against Predacon (and Decepticon) aggression!
