Wedge Strength Agility Intellect Willpower 12d 8d 10d 15d Hand Size: 3 (17) Edge: 1 Known Powers: Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Autobots, Wedge is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this aspiring young warrior has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Wedge these super human powers: * Body Armor (s): like most Cybertronians, Wedge was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him +1 resistance to injury. This makes him immune to many basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots (taking his Strength into consideration). * Enhanced Senses / Microscopic + Telescopic Vision (w): all Transformers can alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at intensity 2, these powers let them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, and allow them to read items on microfiche. * Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins (s): like all robots, Wedge is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses complete immunity to organic pathogens, and a 'mere' +10 resistance to other, more chemically creative substances. * Radio Transceiver (i): as are most all Transformers on earth, Wedge is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Autobot on earth, having intensity 10 power (25,000 mile range). * Size Alteration (a): most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. Due to his respectable height in his humanoid mode, Wedge has this power via technicality; he may very well grow somewhat while transforming, but doesn't appear to do so. This power is bound in Wedge's case by the Growth Only and Permanent limitations, meaning that Wedge is always 8 foot tall in his humanoid mode. Due to his size, Wedge possesses this power at intensity 1, and while it's permanent, the requisite Strength and Agility changes are not applied. This since his foes often vary in size considerably; Predacons and Decepticons aren't all die-cast from the same mold. For simplicity's sake, one could just apply those alterations and call it a day, or he may go for accuracy and vary them based on the size of his current opponent; whichever works for your game. Blade Attack / Shoulder Smash (s): Wedge's bulldozer blades are situated upon his shoulders in his humanoid mode, allowing him to do particularly vicious damage in a charge maneuver. When he charges in combat, Wedge can choose to inflict +4 damage with each body check. Digging (a): Wedge can use this power either by himself or in tandem with the rest of the Build Team. If tunneling solo, Wedge may do so at intensity 4 speeds, but if all four members of the Build Team work together, they can dig through the earth with intensity 8 skill. Double Buster Gun (a): inherent to his form in his bulldozer mode, this device detaches when Wedge transforms (it is not stored in sub-space when not in use). Wedge's double buster gun is a twin laser emitter he can use to inflict +6 energy damage with each dual blast. Gestalt (a): the leader of the Build Team, Wedge naturally has this intensity 15 power, which allows him to combine with his fellows in order to form the mighty Landfill. Wedge forms the central component of Landfill, around which the other Build Team members can merge in a modular fashion. Headlights (i): to better emulate earthen vehicles (and since they come in handy in the dark), most automotive Transformers on earth are equipped with a set of convenient headlights. These twin lamps can be used to generate intensity 8 illumination, making driving at night no problem. Shapeshifting (a): whenever he desires, Wedge can transform between his humanoid and mini-bulldozer mode, and often does so quickly in battle to maximize the use of his abilities. This power is voice-activated, however ("Wedge, Transform!"). He's somewhat quick in his bulldozer mode. Consider him to be moving as though he had intensity 4 lightning speed in his automotive form. Equipment: (none) Hindrances: (none) Skills: Architecture (i): his primary purpose, this skill describes Wedge's talent in the creation of new items and structures. Wedge has the ability to build most anything he sets his mind to, thanks to his advanced Cybertronian knowledge, and can be considered a master-level architect. Leadership (w): though it doesn't come from any practical level of experience, Wedge is apparently a natural-built leader; despite his inexperience, his natural charm and charisma has drawn a team of Autobots to his side. Wedge's leadership adds 1 to actions attempted under his direction. Marksmanship (a): though he is somewhat lacking in other aspects of combat, Wedge is well-versed in the use of his own, inherent weaponry. As such, he can make attacks with his double buster gun, as well as any other advanced, energy-based weapons, at a reduced difficultly level. Natural Weapons (s): a curious use of this skill, Wedge's ability in this regard represents his talent with his inherent bulldozer / shoulder blades. He can make attacks with these implements at one difficulty level lower than normal, regardless of his current configuration. Calling: Youthful Exuberance: in both body and spirit, Wedge is rather youthful... and it shows. He's got a potent, inspiring amount of energy within him, an infectious drive that spurs others into action. However, he's also quite impulsive, and tends to get himself into trouble before he thinks things through. Likeness: In his bulldozer form, Wedge resembles a mini-bulldozer that is primarily neon orange in hue, with gray trim in places. When he transforms, however, Wedge's appearance alters considerably, and he then resembles a tall, humanoid robot built from bits and pieces of an orange bulldozer. Personality: Wedge is very... enthusiastic. A veritable child at heart, if mostly because he is so young relative to the rest of the Build Team, Wedge sees himself as both a great architect and a great warrior - though he's still working on the latter. This 'bot is exceptionally brave, almost to the point of foolishness. Real Name: Wedge Occupation: Autobot architect, warrior Legal Status: citizen of Cybertron with no known criminal record on earth Marital Status: inapplicable Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: the Autobots, the Build Team Height: 8' Hair: inapplicable Eyes: green Weight: several tons Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Wedge is composed of a strong alien metal that is primarily orange in color, with bits of gray in places, regardless of his current configuration. Story: Unlike many of the Autobots on earth, Wedge hasn't actually seen all that much combat against the Predacons and Decepticons. You see, as soon as he came online here, he and his fellows in the Build Team were charged with building the equipment the Autobots needed to function properly on earth. The product of these labors, aside from the top secret Autobase, is of course the space bridge network. This is a massive matrix of subterranean tunnels connected by transwarp portals. These tunnels have countless access points around the world, allowing the Autobots to drive virtually anywhere in minutes. While Wedge enjoys his work, he longs to contribute to the Autobot cause as a warrior as well as an architect. His passion for setting things right, along with his amazing construction skills, is apparently why the Build Team follows this young firebrand; they're all much older than he is, after all. This longing came to the forefront when the Build Team was charged with making a space bridge access point in icy Antarctica, where the Predacons were raiding a diamond mine for all it was worth. Wrangling with Optimus Prime, he agreed to build the tunnel if he and his team could rout the Predacons. Upon their arrival, the Build Team fought with Sky-Bite and his three subordinates, but were actually defeated by the Predacons due to their inexperience. Though beaten, Wedge and his Build Team were determined to prove their worth, and eventually did so by putting their foes in their place. After this, Wedge and company regularly joined the other Autobots in battle with Megatron's forces, for Optimus Prime felt that they should fight despite their lack of experience; if they never did so, they'd never attain the battle prowess and combat skills that they needed, after all. In fact, Wedge proved instrumental in the Autobots' final battle with Galvatron, after his insane bravery and selfless dedication to the Autobots' cause helped Fortress Maximus to activate himself during this all-out scrap. If not for this, all the Autobots on earth may have been wiped out. Now that Galvatron has been defeated, and he and his legion of evil followers have been incarcerated off-world, Wedge's ultimate fate is unknown. It may take him and his Build Team some time to moth-ball the Autobots' various technology on earth, so he may hang around for quite some time. Though unless the Predacons or Decepticons return, Wedge may eventually return to Cybertron...
