Origin:

As are his fellow Destructicons, Bludgeon is an electromechanical being from Cybertron, an evil robot that has, with his compatriots, waged a war against the heroic Autobots in a bid to conquer the universe. All of his abilities derive from his great size and alien construction.

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Decepticons, Bludgeon is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this incredibly powerful combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Bludgeon these super human powers:

* Armor Skin: like most Cybertronians, Bludgeon was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him Remarkable (30) resistance to injury. This makes him immune to most basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots. His defense breaks down as follows:

Rm 30 / Gd 10 / Pr 4 / Sh 0 / Sh 0

* Growth: most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. Due to his significant height in his humanoid mode, Bludgeon has this power via technicality; he may very well grow somewhat while transforming, but doesn't appear to do so.

According to the standard Growth rules, Bludgeon has this ability at Remarkable (30) rank, making him stand around eighteen feet tall. Since his Strength is higher, this offers him no combat benefit, but on the other hand, human-sized folks targeting Bludgeon receive a +1 CS to hit him in battle.

The Ultimate Powers Book, meanwhile, gives Bludgeon this power at Typical (6) rank, making him out to be three times a normal human's size. This would grant the militant Decepticon a +1 CS to the Strength score listed above (raising it to Amazing (50)), thus adding 10 points to his Health score.

Now, according to the Transformers MSH Sourcebook, Bludgeon's statistics are geared towards mixing it up with beings of like size. As such, when fighting folks of normal human size, he should receive a +3 CS to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth).

Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Bludgeon has a +1 size factor. As such, he inflicts +1 CS damage vs normal human opponents, and has 1 CS of Damage Reduction against them. On the other hand, he is at a -1 CS to hit them in combat, while they receive a +1 CS to hit him.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power lets them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.

* Radio Transceiver: as are most all Transformers, Bludgeon is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian in his general vicinity, having Excellent (20) range (25,000 miles).

* Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins: like all robots, Bludgeon is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses this resistance at Class 1k rank versus organic pathogens, and at Unearthly (100) versus more chemically creative substances.

Cannon: his primary offensive device in either configuration, Bludgeon is equipped with a tank main cannon in his vehicular mode, which rests on his shoulder in his humanoid form. He can fire this mammoth weapon to inflict Monstrous (75) Shooting damage with each deadly blast.

Missile Launcher: secondary assault weapons, these two launchers rest over his treads in vehicle mode and on his wrists in his humanoid configuration. They inflict the listed damage when fired singly, adding a +1 CS if both hit a target simultaneously:

Shape Change: his most notorious ability, this power allows Bludgeon to transform his humanoid form into that of an M1 Abrams tank, if admittedly a curiously colored one. Bludgeon's rather large tank form has the following vehicular characteristics:

Equipment:

Blaster: Bludgeon carries a back-up sidearm in the event that some enemy (rightly) thinks to disable his main cannon. He can fire this hand blaster to inflict Amazing (50) Energy damage per deadly blast, though the exact type of energy it fires is unknown.

Quirks:

(none)

Talents:

Military: more than anything else, Bludgeon is a proper military thinker. He's always studying his friends and his foes, in order to know what they're capable of and how they can best help (or hinder) his many schemes. He's a competent leader of fighting entities.

Contacts:

As a Decepticon, Bludgeon can usually rely upon those villains for assistance - if it suits their purposes. Of course, they left him to rot in an Autobot prison for quite some time, so there's that. He can rely upon Scourge and his Destructicons as dependable contacts, though.

Likeness:

In his alternate mode, Bludgeon looks like a yellow tank accented with green trim here and there. In his robot form, Bludgeon resembles a humanoid machine built from spare green and yellow tank parts, and bears more than a passing resemblance to the original Megatron.

Personality:

Bludgeon thinks a lot of himself. Though he's not quite as smart as he thinks he is, Bludgeon is nonetheless quite the tactician and plotter, and is often the mastermind of various grandiose schemes - to be carried out either by himself or by other Decepticons.

Real Name: Bludgeon
Occupation: Destructicon tactician, former Decepticon warrior
Legal Status: citizen of Cybertron, wanted for a litany of crimes against any number of victims
Marital Status: inapplicable
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: the Destructicons, former Decepticon

Height: 18'
Hair: inapplicable
Eyes: red
Weight: many tons
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Bludgeon appears to be built from a strong, green and yellow metal regardless of which form he currently resides in.

Story:

Bludgeon is a Decepticon with delusions of grandeur - and the muscle to back at least some of them up. He's never met a grandiose scheme he didn't like, and has perpetrated a bevy of them against the Autobots or just about anything else in the cosmos that was foolish enough to cross his path.

Of course, while in the execution of one such plot, Bludgeon bit off a whole lot more than he could chew, and this rising star in the Decepticon army found himself captured by the Autobots. More merciful than they should be, those do-gooders threw him into their asteroid penal colony.

Bludgeon rotted there for a good long time, attempting one escape after another. But it turned out this was all a feint; Bludgeon was engaging in seemingly inept escape attempts in order to lull his captors into a false sense of security. His 'big' plan was quite a hit, however!

Completely catching his captors off-guard while they were trying to deliver a powerful and dangerous Scourge into incarceration, Bludgeon made his escape. As he calmly strode out of the Autobot penal asteroid's innards, Bludgeon found that he had company, in the form of Scourge himself.

Though he intended to return to his conventional Decepticon chicanery, Bludgeon noted that Scourge had a certain something, a kind of mad ambition that he immediately recognized. Thinking this new found 'friend' to have potential, Bludgeon wandered off with him, instead.

Thus, Bludgeon joined Scourge as that villain founded his own Decepticon faction, the Destructicons! A plotter and tactical thinker, Bludgeon would serve Scourge well as his right hand man, coming up with plans the hot-headed would-be tyrant could follow without his own ego getting in the way.

These two were quickly joined by others, which really got the ball rolling on Scourge's dreams of universal domination. But the ultimate fate of him and his new Destructicon friends has yet to be revealed - and may not be for a very, very long time...!

Notes:

There is no actual information about Bludgeon in any of the Robots in Disguise product literature, or anywhere else for that matter. He is a Destructicon, which seems to be an offshoot or sub-group of Decepticons, and has joined forces with that team's leader, Scourge.

Other than that, there's nothing. As such, he was modeled using a -1 CS version of the Machine Wars Megatron mold he was based on. Keep in mind however that this is just one of many possible interpretations of this character, and is completely not in 'canon' - use or disregard as you see fit.
