Sh X +150 among Predacons / Decepticons, Sh X -150 among Autobots. Origin: As are the other Predacons and Decepticons, Galvatron is an electromechanical being from Cybertron, a world somewhat close to our own. In addition to being from another timeline, this fellow's origin is further complicated by the fact that he's technically deceased, and is in fact an undead robot of some sort...! Known Powers: Cybertronian Physique: like the rest of his minions, Galvatron is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this supernaturally powerful being has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Galvatron these super human powers: * Armor Skin: like most Cybertronians, Galvatron was manufactured (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him Excellent (20) resistance to injury. This is sufficient to make him immune to most human (and many Autobot) attacks. Galvatron's defense breaks down as follows: Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Sh 0 / Sh 0 * Growth: most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. Thanks to the size of all eleven of his configurations, Galvatron doesn't need to exert this control. However, in relation to human-sized beings, he technically has this power. According to the standard Growth rules, Galvatron has this power at Unearthly (100) rank, making him stand approximately thirty feet tall. While this doesn't increase the damage that he inflicts against human-sized opponents, Galvatron's large size does allow such opponents a +3 CS to hit him. The Ultimate Powers Book, however, would rank this power at a mere Excellent (20) rank, giving him a similar height (being six times a generic human's size). Galvatron thus receives a +2 CS to the Strength score listed above (raising it to Shift Y (200)), and adds 100 points to his Health score. According to the Transformers MSH Sourcebook, on the other hand, Galvatron's statistics are geared towards mixing it up with beings of like size. As such, when fighting folks of normal human size, he should receive a +3 CS to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth). Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Galvatron has a +2 size factor. As such, he inflicts +2 CS damage vs normal human opponents, and has 2 CS of Damage Reduction against them. On the other hand, he is at a -2 CS to hit them in combat, while they receive a +2 CS to hit him. * Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins: like all robots, Galvatron is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses this resistance at Class 1k rank versus organic pathogens, and at Unearthly (100) versus more chemically creative substances. * Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power lets them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche. * Radio Transceiver: as are most all Transformers on earth, Galvatron is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Decepticon or Predacon on earth, having Excellent (20) range (25,000 miles). Attractor Beam: in both his jet and bat mode, Galvatron has shown the ability to seize people and things with a powerful attractor beam, one which is hard to resist in that it has no form or substance to fight against. This power can be used to grab or grapple people or things with Unearthly (100) Strength. Blinding Beam: one ability that Galvatron has demonstrated only in his automotive mode, this power allows him to emit a blinding burst of light from his headlights. This burst of light is of Unearthly (100) intensity, and is enough to scramble the optic sensors of even the strongest Autobots. Claws: in his claw and various creature modes, Galvatron has the use of these sharp implements when engaging in melee combat - even if he prefers to use his mega sword when getting 'personal' in a fight. He can use these claws to inflict his Strength rank in Edged Attack damage with each swipe. Computer Link: a curious power that Galvatron possesses is his ability to link up with his Mega Star while he's in his mega claw mode, in order to control it combat - both melee and otherwise - as though it were an extension of his own body. This is an Unearthly (100) rank power. Cutter Beam: in his humanoid mode, Galvatron can emit a powerful bolt of energy that he refers to as his 'cutter beam', which presumably acts like a particle beam. This bolt of lightning-like energy can be used to inflict Unearthly (100) Edged Attack damage, with a line of sight range. Cyber-Bats: a strange power that Galvatron has which his previous incarnation lacked is the ability to send forth a vast army of small, mechanized bats which resemble his original bat form - they even retain Galvatron's original color scheme. These bats are the same size as their earthly counterparts. Their purpose is much more sinister, however. You see, Galvatron can direct these things to attach themselves to human beings, and extend his vast mind control power to those organic entities. These small Cybertronian robots are non-sentient, and act like Typical (6) versions of Galvatron's bat mode. Cyber-Vampirism: a variant of the bio-vampirism power, this unique ability allows Galvatron to consume the Spark energies of his fellow Cybertronians much like a standard vampire can attack human beings for their own life energies. He need not bite them, though; mere touch is enough for this to work. Possessing this ability at Unearthly (100) rank, Galvatron can make off with vast amounts of energy, which he can then use to augment his own Strength, Endurance, and Psyche ranks, in addition to spreading the absorbed power amongst his multitudinous powers. That, of course, is the problem. You see, Galvatron has so many powers that he must absorb all kinds of energy to keep himself fully functional, and any serious exertion will require him to absorb energy once more - but he seems capable of subsisting on energon still; this only maintains his 'standard' power levels, though. In order to increase his powers to any great extent, he must utilize the Spark energies of others, and the more he absorbs, the more powerful he becomes - until his power ranks eventually decline through use and/or the passage of time. There seems to be no limit to how much he can absorb, however. After attacking Fortress Maximus with this power for several minutes, for instance, Galvatron emerged with unbelievable power and prowess, and demonstrated several new abilities that can only be considered supernatural in origin. These powers, accessed with stolen Spark energies, include the following: * Earth Control: it seems Galvatron can focus his massive power into the earth itself through his mega sword, causing all sorts of destruction and seismic disturbances at his leisure. This is especially dangerous to those who happen to be beneath the surface while he's tinkering with it... * Energy Depletion Field: Galvatron can use this attack to seize any entity within six areas of his person, as per a telekinetic grapple attack. However, those caught within this field suffer damage as though subject to Galvatron's cyber-vampirism (he doesn't gain energy from this drain, though). * Smother Cloud: Galvatron can let loose a dark, shadowy mist with which to torment others. This mist can surround a Transformer and inflict power rank Karmic (psychic) damage for each turn it is active, causing even the most steadfast warrior to submit within just a few moments of torture... Dual Magma Stream: Galvatron has a particularly devastating attack in his two-headed dragon form. Both heads on this configuration of his can issue forth a powerful stream of fiery energies, allowing him to inflict Unearthly (100) SD Energy damage per deadly blast. Fangs: in his bat, griffon, and both dragon modes, Galvatron has the use of powerful fangs, which he can use to bite his foes if he so chooses. He can use these rows of sharp steel implements to inflict his Strength rank in Edged Attack damage - but may hang on to a foe in order to keep inflicting like damage. Flight: in all but his automotive, dragon, and hovercraft modes, Galvatron has the ability to defy gravity. While he has wings, they can't really support his incredible bulk, and are likely augmented by anti-gravity generators and thrusters. He can fly with Unearthly (100) speed - or 600 miles per hour. Gestalt: the crux of his secondary plan to conquer Fortress Maximus, Galvatron evolved an eleventh transformation, one that allows him to adopt a 'headmaster' bond with one of his Decepticon subordinates, Megatron Megabolt, even if this plan also failed him. This is an Unearthly (100) power. Holographic Projection: while Galvatron's visual receptors are usually tuned to absorb information from the area around him, they can also be used to project visual information in front of him. This Good (10) ranked light system can project anything within Galvatron's memory, up to ten feet distant. Hurricane Shockwave: in his bat mode, Galvatron can emit a powerful burst of windy force from his wings, a force that affects everything he's facing. This shockwave can be used to inflict Unearthly (100) Force damage to everything and anything within one area of his person. Improved Body Armor: while in his Iron Mammoth form, Galvatron can compact his mass in order to attain even more resistance to injury than he normally possesses. While 'crouching' in such a fashion, he can use no other abilities, but possesses Unearthly (100) protection from attack. Mega Sword: inherent to his form, this twin-bladed weapon can be detached from his body in his humanoid configuration. This allows Galvatron to inflict his Strength rank +1 CS in Edged Attack damage to his foes, damage which is Armor Piercing when Galvatron spins the blade in his 'mega sword strike'. Mind Control: a very curious power that Galvatron wields is his ability to reprogram other transformers. As Megatron, he had to catch them in a stasis pod to attempt this, but now any Transformer is vulnerable to being reprogrammed after exposure to Galvatron's Spark energies (Unearthly (100)). Mini-Missile Launcher: in his jet mode, Galvatron has access to twin miniature missile launchers. He can fire these 'smart bullets' as a swarm, causing them to inflict (all together) Unearthly (100) Edged Attack damage. Individually, these mini missiles have these vehicular statistics: C S B Damage Rm 30 Am 50 Ex 20 Rm 30 Edged Attack Plasma Blaster: Galvatron also has access to a sort of rapid pulse energy blaster, in addition to his miniature missile launcher, while in his jet mode. This burst of energy discharges can inflict a total of Unearthly (100) Energy damage to everything within one area that he has targeted for destruction. Shapechange: alone among the Transformers, Galvatron has mastered an eleven-mode transformation sequence. In other words, he can assume eleven distinct forms, while most of his fellows have but two. This is a side effect of his exceptional power and skill, not to mention hard-earned experience. In addition to his most familiar, humanoid form, Galvatron could originally assume the form of a two-headed dragon (twin dragon mode), a bat (mega bat mode), a curiously shaped automobile (automotive mode), a powerful aircraft (jet mode), and finally, an incredibly large, grasping hand (mega claw mode). After his transformation from Megatron into Galvatron, though, he added the forms of an elephant (iron mammoth), a single-headed dragon, a griffon, and a hover-transport that could work both on the water and below it. Even later, Galvatron added an eleventh form, that of a giant head. This bizarre form can merge with Megatron Megabolt, who himself transforms into a giant 'spider head' to force himself onto Fortress Maximus, and thus control him. That was the idea, anyway. At any rate, Galvatron has the full use of his ordinary, physical ability scores in most of his configurations. However, in his automotive, hover-transport and jet modes, he instead makes use of standard vehicular statistics, though the latter has flight (air movement) instead of ground speed, as do the first two. These three exceptional, purely mechanical modes have the following vehicular statistics: C S B P Un 100 Un 100 Sh X Rm 30 This power is pretty much automatic; in other words, Galvatron need not roll a power FEAT in order to change forms. However, as is the case with all other Predacons, Galvatron's transformations are voice-activated ("Galvatron, Transform!"). He has different sayings depending on his transformation, though. Sonic Pain Wave: in his bat mode, Galvatron can emit an ultrasonic wave of energy that tends to cause extreme pain in humans, and other beings with relatively unprotected audio systems. This wave acts as an Unearthly (100) Stunning attack, and can fell all but the hardiest of opponents. Super Grab Attack: Galvatron is essentially a very, very large hand in his claw mode; all of his motive function is focused towards the grasping of things. As such, he can inflict grab or grapple attacks as though his Strength were +1 CS in rank (very dangerous via U.P.B. growth rules...). Ultra Traction Drive: an ability unique to his automotive mode, this mechanical power allows Galvatron to cycle the ridges on what are his wings in his other forms, causing them to act like unto a chainsaw when ramming other vehicles. This attack inflicts Unearthly (100) Edged Attack damage. Equipment: the Mega Star: a rather large craft, the Mega Star is a quasi-humanoid ship that Galvatron uses as both a base of operations and as an intergalactic transport. The exact nature of this vehicle / base is unknown, but it is known to have trans-warp capabilities, and can be merged with Galvatron himself. When using the Mega Star as an extension of his own body, Galvatron fights with the exact same ability scores that he possesses above, but has the benefit of extreme size; the Mega Star is easily several hundred foot tall, which means a bunch of different things, depending on the growth rules you utilize. According to the standard Growth rules, Galvatron (when combined with the Mega star) has Shift Z (500) Growth, if as a technicality; he cannot change size, but benefits from his extreme height and mass. This makes him +3 CS to be hit by human-sized foes, but gives him unparalleled Strength in combat. The Ultimate Powers book, on the other hand, would rate this as Shift X (150) growth, since he's at least fifty times the size of a normal human. This raises his overall Strength to Class 3k (!) for the purposes of melee damage, allowing Galvatron to go toe to toe with even Fortress Maximus! Now, the Transformers MSH Sourcebook defines the Mega Star-merged Galvatron as having ability scores that are optimized towards mixing it up with beings of a similar size to his own. As such, he should receive a +5 CS (!) to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth). Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Galvatron has a +4 size factor. As such, he inflicts +4 CS damage vs normal human opponents, and has 4 CS of Damage Reduction against them. On the other hand, he is at a -4 CS to hit them in combat, while they receive a +4 CS to hit him. Of course, the Mega Star can defend itself even when it's not merged with Galvatron, having an unbelievably large number of missile bays secreted within, missiles that have the statistics of Galvatron's own (listed above), but inflict Unearthly (100) Edged Attack damage each. After all, it fought ALL of the Autobots to a standstill at one point. Of course, it should be noted that the Mega Star was destroyed in personal combat with Fortress Maximus, but was not annihilated utterly. As such, it could theoretically be recovered / repaired / restored by an interested party... Quirks: (none) Talents: Leadership: whether it's out of persuasiveness or simple intimidation, Galvatron has shown that he can easily keep his minions in line. As such, whenever he's leading a group with a Karma pool (even if of a villainous sort), Galvatron's direction adds fifty points to its overall total. Pilot / Space: whether he's just flying solitary or behind the 'wheel' of his Mega Star, Galvatron has the ability to fly through space rather well. This gives him a +1 CS to Control FEATs when flying an external vehicle, or a +1 CS to such FEATs (or Agility checks) when flying in the void all alone. Weapon / Swords: Galvatron has demonstrated rather competent skill in the use of swords while engaged in melee - his mega sword in particular. As such, when wielding such weapons in combat, Galvatron may do so as though his Fighting score was +1 CS higher than is listed above. Contacts: Naturally, as the leader of the earth-bound Predacons, much less the Decepticons he created, Galvatron can count on his minions to assist him should he need it - or to simply do his bidding. After all, should they leave him high and dry, it's a cinch that Galvatron would come back to haunt them... Likeness: Galvatron, in all of his many modes, appears to be an oversized robot built from primarily white and black colored metal, with silver, gold, and red trim in places. Of course, in all of his modes, he seems to have a few bits that appear out of place, being useful in only a few of his eleven configurations. Personality: Power-hungry, over-bearing, megalo-maniacal, and evil to a fault, Galvatron is one of the single most dangerous entities ever to have come into being in our plane of existence. He lusts for power and domination over the entire universe, and has apparently destroyed several worlds in the past. Of course, if he didn't insist on having his minions do his dirty work for him, Galvatron could likely have accomplished his goal a long time ago, for those who have flocked to his banner tend to be on the incompetent (or cripplingly neurotic) side. Which is odd, for he does not suffer failure lightly... Real Name: Megatron Occupation: would-be lord of the universe Legal Status: citizen of Cybertron wanted on earth for various crimes against humanity Marital Status: inapplicable Alias(es), if any: none known Group Affiliation: the Predacons, the Decepticons Height: approximately 30 foot tall Hair: inapplicable Eyes: red Weight: several tons Other Distinguishing Characteristics: in all of his forms, Galvatron appears to be a mechanoid entity built from white and black metal (with red, gold, and silver trim), one that has all manner of parts that are both appropriate and inappropriate to his current configuration. Story: Megatron, while an unbelievably powerful entity in his own right, is not the ultimate lord of the Predacons. You see, he has revealed that he was sent to the earth by a body called the 'Predacon Council' to seize control of its energy - not to mention a being known as Fortress Maximus, the most powerful Cybertronian. Now, he may be this Predacon Council's most powerful champion, or simply one of many such beings of like power; the latter possibility being a very, very bad thing for the cosmos in general. Regardless, he collected several Predacon minions, and journeyed to earth to do the Council's bidding. However, it would appear that the heroic Autobots had learned of Megatron's trip to earth well in advance. As such, they sent a small army of warriors to earth in order to intercept the Predacon, and had a whole lot of time to prepare for his arrival. In fact, they'd totally dug in by the time his Mega Star showed up. While his first mission on earth, the abduction of one Doctor Onishi (an expert on earthen energy forms) was a smashing success, Megatron's further efforts on earth did not fare so well, as his minions, while powerful and at least a little bit clever, were no match for the large number of Autobots there. As such, Megatron seized the opportunity to abduct six Autobots that Optimus Prime, his hated enemy, had unearthed in the American Midwest. It turned out that these six Autobots were sent to the planet sixty years earlier, with the exact same mission that Megatron himself had been charged with. At least, the part regarding Fortress Maximus. However, Megatron got ahold of their stasis pods before the Autobots could, and when he activated them, Megatron infused their essence with that of his own, Predacon spark, thus corrupting these Autobots, and causing them to be reborn as... Decepticons! With these bolstered forces, Megatron should have been able to finish his job with little trouble, save for the fact that the Predacons and Decepticons didn't get along very well; furthermore, the leader of the Decepticons, Scourge, had ambitions of his own, and wanted nothing to do with Megatron's rule. This, of course, being due to the fact that the make-up of his spark included bits of Megatron's, Optimus Prime's, and even a human's (thanks to the curious circumstances of his own activation). After some time dealing with the repeated failure of his minions, Megatron took a direct hand in things. As the Autobots themselves were on the verge of activating Fortress Maximus, Megatron and his cronies tried to steal from the Autobots the so-called Orb of Sigma, which would reveal the location of Maximus' control unit, the Autobot known as Cerebros. His foe, Optimus Prime, wasn't about to give in though. Since this orb had taken control of his friend T.A.I., a sort of artificial intelligence of Cybertronian design, Optimus Prime fought valiantly to keep the Orb out of Megatron's hands. In fact, after merging with his brother, Ultra Magnus, the gestalt of these two Autobots, Omega Prime, trounced Megatron. His energy depleted, Megatron should have been deactivated at this point, buried as he was in the rubble of the pyramid where the Autobots found the Orb. However, the curious astral energies within the pyramid served to revive Megatron... though he was no longer the being he once was. This because Megatron had been reborn as a sort of undead Cybertronian, an energy vampire of dread power and purpose, and after draining three of his own Predacon minions, he was fully reborn as Galvatron. Now a Decepticon himself, Galvatron's greed and ambition know no bounds whatsoever. Using his vast new power, Galvatron engaged in several attempts to take possession of Fortress Maximus, all of which were stymied by both the Autobots and Scourge himself, once that villain decided to make his move against his leader. To end this string of failure, Galvatron just absorbed Maximus' power directly. This gave him unparalleled destructive capabilities, and he used them in several horrific ways to dispose of both the Autobots and his treacherous Decepticon minions. They all survived these assassination attempts, though barely, and Galvatron was finally defeated by Omega Prime and his mighty Matrix Blade. After his defeat, Galvatron was incarcerated within Fortress Maximus himself, and transported to a penal colony on an asteroid near Cybertron, along with all of his minions - save for Sky-Bite, who slipped away in the confusion of Galvatron's final bid for universal domination. Whether or not he'll escape this imprisonment remains to be seen, but as powerful as Galvatron is... it's likely that he eventually will...!
