Powers:
Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Decepticons, Jhiaxus is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this high-flying combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Jhiaxus these super human powers:
* Body Armor (s): like most Cybertronians, Jhiaxus was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him +2 resistance to injury. This makes him immune to most basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots (taking his Strength into consideration).
* Growth (a): most Cybertronians have a degree of control over their size, no matter their form. Due to his significant height in his humanoid mode, Jhiaxus has this power via technicality; he may very well grow somewhat while transforming, but doesn't appear to do so.
This power is bound in Jhiaxus's case by the Permanent limitation, meaning that Jhiaxus is always 18 foot tall in his humanoid mode. Due to his size, Jhiaxus possesses this power at intensity 4, and while it's permanent, the requisite Strength and Agility changes are not applied.
This since his foes often vary in size considerably; the Autobots are not all die-cast from the same mold. For the sake of simplicity, one could just apply those alterations and call it a day, or he may go for accuracy and vary them based on the size of his current opponent; whichever works for your game.
* Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins (s): like all robots, Jhiaxus is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses complete immunity to organic pathogens, and a 'mere' +10 resistance to other, more chemically creative substances.
* Microscopic + Telescopic Vision (w): all Transformers can alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at intensity 2, these powers let them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.
* Radio Transceiver (i): as are most all Transformers on earth, Jhiaxus is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian, having intensity 10 power (25,000 mile range).
Flight / Levitation (a): in his vehicle mode, Jhiaxus can fly about at rather high speeds, doing so with intensity 12 ability, or Mach 2. However, he can also levitate in his third, modified humanoid form, his so-called 'hover' mode, doing so with intensity 9 power.
Missile Launchers (i): in all of his modes, Jhiaxus can make use of twin rocket launchers embedded within his form; they're on his wrists in humanoid and hover mode, and near his air intakes in his vehicle mode. Either way, the missiles fired by these launchers inflict intensity 10 damage.
This damage has a splash effect as well, affecting everybody within striking (near missile) distance of their detonation point.
Shape change (a): Jhiaxus is a Decepticon with three primary modes. His first is that of an advanced combat jet of Cybertronian design, his second is his basic humanoid form, and his third is a modified version of his second, a sort of 'hovering sentry' form. He can change between forms at will.
Space Flight (a): in addition to his ability to fly at impressive speeds in an atmosphere, Jhiaxus can really open up when he's out in space. Possessing this power at intensity 20, he can cross vast tracts of interstellar space in the blink of an eye (usually anywhere within the galaxy within a day).
Equipment:
none
Hindrances:
(none)
Skills:
Aerial Combat (a): it may go without saying, but since his primary function is that of a combat aircraft, Jhiaxus has gotten very, very good at fighting while airborne. As such, he should be allowed a one level difficulty reduction on all combat actions rolled while in the air, whether offensive or defensive in nature.
Artillery (a): furthermore, Jhiaxus is likely rather competent in the use of his inherent missile weaponry; this skill extends to the use of various, line of sight weaponry like mortars and such as well. He may use all like weapons at one difficulty level lower than would normally be required.
Calling:
Demolisher, with a secondary calling of World Domination: not at all a mindless killing machine, Jhiaxus delights in smashing things up, particularly when they have the temerity of entering his domain - that which is anything off the ground - without his permission. He rules the skies with an iron fist!
Likeness:
In his vehicle mode, Jhiaxus appears to be a futuristic, swing-wing aircraft, one of somewhat alien design that is composed of primarily orange steel, with black and gray trim. In his humanoid and hover modes, however, Jhiaxus appears to be a robot built from orange, black and gray aircraft parts.
Personality:
Arrogant and temperamental, Jhiaxus exults in his role as Megatron's Air Space commander, claiming the skies of earth as his own - and all that venture within his territories as his victims. Pulling rank on all the airborne villains in Megatron's thrall, Jhiaxus has ruffled the feathers of both Sky-Bite and Scourge.
Though oddly, Wind Sheer and Skyfire seem to get along with him just fine...

Story:
The origins of Jhiaxus are something of a mystery. It is unknown if he is of lingering Vehicon stock or if he was a former Autobot reformatted by Megatron into a Decepticon proper. Regardless, he hails from Cybertron (and whatever time frame he comes from) and aids Megatron's cause on earth.
An expert in aerial combat above and beyond the pale, Megatron placed Jhiaxus in command of his squad's Air Space maneuvers, which gives him authority over all of Megatron's minions that excel in aerial combat - this is primarily the other four Decepticon jets, who handle Jhiaxus' orders just fine.
The problem is that Jhiaxus arrived late in the game, and his abrasive leadership style (typically stepping on the toes of Megatron's other lieutenants) has caused nothing but discontent in the ranks. Having got used to the way things were, Jhiaxus' peers don't like sharing their power.
Of course this problem became moot soon enough, after Megatron, transformed into the undead Cybertronian, Galvatron, had to deal with some of said lieutenants - and harshly. When Scourge and the Combatrons tried to use Fortress Maximus against him, Galvatron reprogrammed the lot of 'em.
This just in time for Galvatron's final show down with the Autobots on earth, which Jhiaxus and his aircraft buddies joined in earnest. Of course, there's a whole lot of Autobots on earth, and the simple truth is that the Decepticon jets were easily outnumbered in this final fight.
Captured after the ultimate defeat of Galvatron at Omega Prime's hands, Jhiaxus was shipped off with his fellows to an asteroid penal colony in the vicinity of Cybertron proper. It is presumed that Jhiaxus remains there to this very day, as not a peep has been heard from him since that time.
Design Notes:
There are no character tech specs or biographies for the RiD Jhiaxus. I assembled this entry from what little there was on the packaging about him, and used the tech specs from Beast Machines Jet Storm (which this figure was based on, as was the Autobot RiD Storm Jet).
Naturally, if you don't like 'my' version, go with your own!
