* Amongst humans and Autobots, at least. Mn +75 to his fellow Predacons / Decepticons / Vehicons

Origin:

As are the other Transformers present on the earth at this time, Jhiaxus is an electromechanical entity hailing from Cybertron, a robot that works hard to help Megatron's plan on this world succeed. This alien may also be from another time period, making him doubly out of place on earth.

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique:
like his fellow Decepticons, Jhiaxus is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this high-flying combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Jhiaxus these super human powers:

* Armor Skin: like most Cybertronians, Jhiaxus was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him Excellent (20) resistance to injury. This makes him resistant to most basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots. His defense breaks down as follows:

Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Sh 0 / Sh 0

* Growth: most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. Due to his considerable size in both his vehicular and humanoid mode, Jhiaxus has this power via technicality; he doesn't appear to actually change size, however.

According to the standard Growth rules, Jhiaxus has this power at Remarkable (30) rank, making him stand approximately eighteen feet tall. Since his Strength rank is lower than this, Jhiaxus may substitute this rank for his Strength score in humanoid mode - but is at +2 CS to be hit by human-sized foes.

The Ultimate Powers Book, however, gives Jhiaxus this power at Typical (6) rank, making him out to be three times a normal human's size. This grants him a +1 CS to the Strength score listed above (matching the standard Growth rules), and adding 10 points to Jhiaxus's Health score (205).

According to the Transformers MSH Sourcebook, on the other hand, Jhiaxus's statistics are geared towards mixing it up with beings of like size. As such, when fighting folks of normal human size, he should receive a +2 CS to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth).

Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Jhiaxus has a size factor of +1. As such, he inflicts +1 CS damage vs normal human opponents, and has 1 CS of Damage Reduction against them. On the other hand, he is at a -1 CS to hit them in combat, while they receive a +1 CS to hit him.

* Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins: like all robots, Jhiaxus is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses this resistance at Class 1k rank versus organic pathogens, and at Unearthly (100) versus more chemically creative substances.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power lets them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.

Flight / Levitation: in his vehicle mode, Jhiaxus can fly about at rather high speeds, doing so with Shift Y (200) ability, or Mach 2. However, he can also levitate in his third, modified humanoid form, his so-called 'hover' mode, doing so with Unearthly (100) power.

Missile Launchers: in all of his modes, Jhiaxus can make use of twin rocket launchers embedded within his form; they're on his wrists in humanoid and hover mode, and near his air intakes in his vehicle mode. Either way, the missiles fired by these launchers have these vehicular statistics:

Shapechange: Jhiaxus is a Decepticon with three primary modes. His first is that of an advanced combat jet of Cybertronian design, his second is his basic humanoid form, and his third is a modified version of his second, a sort of 'hovering sentry' form. His jet form has these vehicular statistics:

Super Flight: in addition to his ability to fly at impressive speeds in an atmosphere, Jhiaxus can really open up when he's out in space. Possessing this power at Unearthly (100), he can cross vast tracts of interstellar space in the blink of an eye (usually anywhere within the galaxy within a month).

Quirks:

Temper 2:
like his Autobot counterpart, Storm Jet, Jhiaxus is possessed of a terrifying temper. Unlike Storm Jet, however, Jhiaxus makes no attempt to curb his violent tendencies - and must pass a Psyche FEAT at -2 CS in order to do so if he suddenly finds himself in need of calm...

Talents:

Aerial Combat:
it may go without saying, but since his primary function is that of a combat aircraft, Jhiaxus has gotten very, very good at fighting while airborne. As such, he should be allowed a +1 CS to all combat FEATs rolled while in the air, whether offensive or defensive in nature.

Marksman: furthermore, Jhiaxus is likely rather competent in the use of his inherent missile weaponry; this skill extends to the use of various, line of sight weaponry like mortars and such as well. He may use all such weapons as though his Agy was +1 CS higher than is listed above.

Contacts:

Although he showed up on the planet a bit later than his fellows, Jhiaxus can rely upon the many earth-bound minions of Megatron for assistance should he need it - in particular those possessed of the power of flight. Serving as Megatron's Air Space commander, Jhiaxus is in charge of all that villain's aerial operations.

Likeness:

In his vehicle mode, Jhiaxus appears to be a futuristic, swing-wing aircraft, one of somewhat alien design that is composed of primarily orange steel, with black and gray trim. In his humanoid and hover modes, however, Jhiaxus appears to be a robot built from orange, black and gray aircraft parts.

Personality:

Arrogant and temperamental, Jhiaxus exults in his role as Megatron's Air Space commander, claiming the skies of earth as his own - and all that venture within his territories as his victims. Pulling rank on all the airborne villains in Megatron's thrall, Jhiaxus has ruffled the feathers of both Sky-Bite and Scourge.

Though oddly, Wind Sheer and Skyfire seem to get along with him just fine...

Real Name: Jhiaxus
Occupation: Decepticon Air Space Commander
Legal Status: citizen of Cybertron with a considerable criminal record there and on earth
Marital Status: inapplicable
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: the Decepticons

Height: 18' (approximately)
Hair: inapplicable
Eyes: red
Weight: several tons
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Jhiaxus is composed of a strong alien metal that is primarily yellow in hue (with gray and black trim in places). Furthermore, in his humanoid and hover modes, his wing surfaces present various protrusions that give him a rather menacing appearance.

Story:

The origins of Jhiaxus are something of a mystery. It is unknown if he is of lingering Vehicon stock or if he was a former Autobot reformatted by Megatron into a Decepticon proper. Regardless, he hails from Cybertron (and whatever time frame he comes from) and aids Megatron's cause on earth.

An expert in aerial combat above and beyond the pale, Megatron placed Jhiaxus in command of his squad's Air Space maneuvers, which gives him authority over all of Megatron's minions that excel in aerial combat - this is primarily the other four Decepticon jets, who handle Jhiaxus' orders just fine.

The problem is that Jhiaxus arrived late in the game, and his abrasive leadership style (typically stepping on the toes of Megatron's other lieutenants) has caused nothing but discontent in the ranks. Having got used to the way things were, Jhiaxus' peers don't like sharing their power.

Of course this problem became moot soon enough, after Megatron, transformed into the undead Cybertronian, Galvatron, had to deal with some of said lieutenants - and harshly. When Scourge and the Combatrons tried to use Fortress Maximus against him, Galvatron reprogrammed the lot of 'em.

This just in time for Galvatron's final show down with the Autobots on earth, which Jhiaxus and his aircraft buddies joined in earnest. Of course, there's a whole lot of Autobots on earth, and the simple truth is that the Decepticon jets were easily outnumbered in this final fight.

Captured after the ultimate defeat of Galvatron at Omega Prime's hands, Jhiaxus was shipped off with his fellows to an asteroid penal colony in the vicinity of Cybertron proper. It is presumed that Jhiaxus remains there to this very day, as not a peep has been heard from him since that time.

* It should be noted that this entry was produced 'on the fly' without any official character information or tech specs to go on (for there are none). I utilized the tech specs for the Beast Machines Jet Storm (which this figure was based on), and built him as a 'nemesis' to Storm Jet.

Since they, too, share the same form.
