Rollbar Strength Agility Intellect Willpower 12d 8c 8x 12d Hand Size: 3 (17) Edge: 1 Powers: Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Decepticons, Rollbar is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this highly skilled combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Rollbar these super human powers: * Body Armor (s): like most Cybertronians, Rollbar was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him +3 resistance to injury. This makes him immune to most basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots (taking his Strength into consideration). * Growth (a): most Cybertronians have a degree of control over their size, no matter their form. Due to his significant height in his humanoid mode, Rollbar has this power via technicality; he may very well grow somewhat while transforming, but doesn't appear to do so. This power is bound in Rollbar's case by the Permanent limitation, meaning that Rollbar is always 12 foot tall in his humanoid mode. Due to his size, Rollbar possesses this power at intensity 2, and while it's permanent, the requisite Strength and Agility changes are not applied. This since his foes often vary in size considerably; the Autobots are not all die-cast from the same mold. For the sake of simplicity, one could just apply those alterations and call it a day, or he may go for accuracy and vary them based on the size of his current opponent; whichever works for your game. * Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins (s): like all robots, Rollbar is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses complete immunity to organic pathogens, and a 'mere' +10 resistance to other, more chemically creative substances. * Microscopic + Telescopic Vision (w): all Transformers can alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at intensity 2, these powers let them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche. * Radio Transceiver (i): as are most all Transformers on earth, Rollbar is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian, having intensity 10 power (25,000 mile range). Camouflage System (a): as do his fellow Combatrons, Rollbar seems to have a specialized camouflage system that he can use to blend into various environments (such as Arctic tundra). This system works at intensity 1, giving him a camo pattern appropriate to the background at hand. Gestalt (a): using this special power, Rollbar can combine his physical form with that of his fellow Combatrons. Working at intensity 16, this ability can be used to create the ultra-powerful Ruination, one of the Decepticons' most powerful operatives! Shape change (a): his most notorious ability, this power allows Rollbar to transform his humanoid form into that of a military Jeep of indeterminate make and model, though this ability is voice-activated ('Rollbar, Transform!'). Rollbar has intensity 6 'lightning speed' in this form. Equipment: Cannon Laser (a): Rollbar's primary weapon, this large weapon is of course his favorite. Rollbar can use this weapon while he's in vehicle mode to inflict +8 (!) energy damage per deadly blast, but he can't seem to hold it while he's in his humanoid form. Laser Pistol (a): in addition to his primary, vehicle mounted laser weapon, Rollbar also carries a secondary laser emitter, a pistol that he can use in his humanoid configuration. This weapon can be used to inflict +5 energy damage per savage blast. Restraint Shells (a): equipment that all the Combatrons carry, these shells can be fired from their primary weaponry to capture a foe, rather than kill him outright. Each shell casts an energy net around a foe that restrains him with intensity 12 ability, +2 for each additional shell used. Hindrances: (none) Skills: Boxing (s): in addition to his considerable firepower, Rollbar makes use of his very body as a weapon in combat. He can divide his pre-cardplay action score between two unarmed melee strikes in a given exchange, the last of which will occur as a contingent action. Marksmanship (a): while he's quite the hand to hand combatant, Rollbar nonetheless carries two heavy duty laser cannons with him at all times - one for each form. He can use these, and any other directed energy weapon at his disposal, at a reduced difficulty level. Martial Arts (a): supplementing his boxing ability, this skill demonstrates Rollbar's intense training in the fine art of personal combat. He can use either his Strength or Agility to resolve unarmed assaults, and may lower the difficulty of actions meant to dodge attacks or reduce falling damage. Military (w): though he was given a military-themed form by Megatron's minions, Rollbar seems to have been of a martial mindset well before he was turned 'evil'. Though Megatron tainted his spark, that villain did not impart Rollbar's intuitive understanding of military protocols and procedures. Calling: Soldier, with a secondary calling of Explorer: Rollbar is naturally military minded, regardless of whether he's working with the Autobots or brainwashed into serving Megatron's aims. However, he seems to have something of an explorer's spirit within him, as he enjoys seeking out geographical extremes. Likeness: In his alternate mode, Rollbar looks like a dark green Jeep with an orange under carriage - though the exact model his vehicle form represents is something of a mystery. In his robot form, Rollbar resembles a heavily armed humanoid machine built from spare Jeep parts. Personality: Rollbar is an interesting sort, for he seems to enjoy the extremes of weather that earth provides. When he's crushing Autobots under his heel, he prefers to do so when it's raining, or while amidst arctic tundra, etc... He likes spending time in saunas, and honing his martial arts skills to a razor edge. Real Name: unrevealed Occupation: Decepticon warrior Legal Status: citizen of Cybertron wanted on earth for various crimes against humanity Marital Status: inapplicable Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: the Decepticons, the Combatrons Height: 12' (approximately) Hair: inapplicable Eyes: green Weight: several tons Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Rollbar is composed of a strong alien metal that is primarily green in hue, with orange components in places, regardless of his form. Story: Most of Rollbar's history is a mystery, for his true identity and personality have been muddled somewhat by Megatron's meddling. You see, after the stasis pod he was riding in was corrupted by that villain, Rollbar was transformed into a highly combative, and rather sarcastic Decepticon. As were his fellow Combatrons, Rollbar seems to have been of a primarily military mindset - perhaps he and his fellows were an elite Autobot combat squad. However, this disciplined martial artist now serves the despicable Megatron, and uses his considerable fighting talents for selfish reasons. Working with his fellow Combatrons, Rollbar has caused untold damage to the planet earth, much of which was unchecked by the Autobots, since their leader didn't stop trying to help him 'see the light' about his true persona for quite some time. Not that this mayhem was without purpose, of course. This was because Megatron was seeking out the location of Fortress Maximus, a rather large Autobot that had been secreted on earth long ago, and was willing to destroy anyone and anything that got in his way. And since there were so many darn Autobots on earth already, this meant Rollbar was rather busy. Either by himself, or combined with his fellows into the mighty Ruination, Rollbar fought to the bitter end with the Autobots in order to accomplish Megatron's dangerous goals. In the end, however, Rollbar and his fellows were laid low by the Autobots, and captured in their ultimate defeat. Once this was done, Rollbar was transferred with his fellow villains to an asteroid penal colony in the vicinity of Cybertron, where he presumably remains to this very day. Unless Megatron's influence is removed from his spark, he may stay there for a very long time, indeed...!
