* Amongst humans, at least. In +40 among Predacons / Decepticons, In -40 where Autobots are concerned.
Origin:
As are his fellow Decepticons, Smokejumper is an electromechanical entity hailing from the planet of Cybertron, an evil robot that has waged a war against the heroic Autobots in a bid to conquer the universe - even if his part is mostly of a fact-finding nature...
Known Powers:
Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Decepticons, Smokejumper is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this high-speed, highly maneuverable combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Smokejumper these super human powers:
* Armor Skin: like most Cybertronians, Smokejumper was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him Excellent (20) resistance to injury. This makes him immune to most basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots. His defense breaks down as follows:
Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Sh 0 / Sh 0
* Growth: most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. Due to his significant height in his humanoid mode, Smokejumper has this power via technicality; he may very well grow somewhat while transforming, but doesn't appear to do so.
According to the standard Growth rules, Smokejumper has this power at Typical (6) rank, making him stand approximately twelve feet tall. Since his Strength rank is lower, this allows him a +1 CS to melee damage vs human-sized opponents, though they receive a +1 CS to hit him in battle.
The Ultimate Powers Book, however, gives Smokejumper this power at Poor (4) rank, making him out to be twice a normal human's size. This would grant the Decepticon a +1 CS to the Strength score listed above (raising it to Typical (6)), thus adding 2 points to his Health score.
According to the Transformers MSH Sourcebook, on the other hand, Smokejumper's statistics are geared towards mixing it up with beings of like size. As such, when fighting folks of normal human size, he should receive a +1 CS to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth).
Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Smokejumper has a +1 size factor. As such, he inflicts +1 CS damage vs normal human opponents, and has 1 CS of Damage Reduction against them. On the other hand, he is at a -1 CS to hit them in combat, while they receive a +1 CS to hit him.
* Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins: like all robots, Smokejumper is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses this resistance at Class 1k rank versus organic pathogens, and at Unearthly (100) versus more chemically creative substances.
* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power lets them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.
* Radio Transceiver: as are most all Transformers on earth, Smokejumper is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian on earth, having Excellent (20) range (25,000 miles).
Flight: as can most Decepticons, Smokejumper can fly regardless of his current shape. He only flies at Good (10) speed while in his humanoid shape, but his alt-mode is built for speed; it moves with Shift Y (200) flight, leaving devastating sonic booms in its wake.
Gestalt: Smokejumper has the ability to merge his vehicular form with that of his cohort, Dreadwind, in order to form the frighteningly powerful fighter jet, Dreadwing. This super-bomber adds Smokejumper's tactical ability and tracking devices to Dreadwind's destructive might.
Phase Conjugate Tracking Probes: carried in both of his configurations, these devices allow Smokejumper to track a foe with Unearthly (100) ability - and relay that information to others, such as his partner in crime, Dreadwind.
Shape Change: whenever he desires, Smokejumper can transform between his humanoid and jet fighter mode, and often does so quickly in battle to maximize the use of his abilities. This power is voice-activated, however ('Smokejumper, Transform!'). His jet mode has these vehicular statistics:

S Sh Y 200 |

Quirks:
Compulsiveness: an aspect of the programs governing his personality, Smokejumper is constantly running tactical simulations through his head, leaving him little time to focus on anything else, really. He must pass a Psc FEAT at -1 CS in order to focus on anything else.
Talents:
Aerial Combat: one thing that Smokejumper truly excels at is airborne combat - at least, in the endless simulations running through his head. He is at a +1 CS to all maneuvers he makes in the air - most of which are defensive considering his lack of armaments.
Tactics: while not a direct combatant, Smokejumper is very, very good at taking stock of almost any situation and planning a means of coming out victorious. His Rsn score in such matters should be considered +1 CS, though getting people to follow his plans are another matter entirely.
Contacts:
As one of the Decepticons, Smokejumper can theoretically rely upon them for assistance should he need it - particularly if he's vital to a mission they're on. He can definitely rely upon his partner Dreadwind, however, for the thug is so much less effective without his aid...
Likeness:
In his alternate mode, Smokejumper appears to be a green and gray jet vaguely resembling an F-22 Raptor - albeit one much smaller than the real thing. When he transforms, Smokejumper appears to be a humanoid machine assembled from spare, green and gray aircraft parts.
Personality:
Somewhat introverted and withdrawn, Smokejumper doesn't hate his fellow Decepticons so much as he finds himself wholly focused on his work; he's so busy analyzing tactical possibilities and gathering data for his compatriots that 'interpersonal relationships' just don't rate.

Story:
Smokejumper is a believer in the Decepticon cause, not that you can tell that by observing him from afar. He's withdrawn, meticulous, and has a strong work ethic - were it not for the most minor shift in ethical focus, he could readily make a most effective Autobot.
He doesn't come across as evil, so much as almost maniacally focused on the task with which he is so staggeringly good. Since he is otherwise not very powerful, it was deemed a good idea to team with him with a veritable one-man army: the loose cannon Dreadwind.
This loud, boisterous Decepticon warrior is a flying arsenal and symphony of destruction, but he lacks focus and discipline - two things that Smokejumper carries in the extreme. When the two work together, the resulting mayhem can only be described as catastrophic.
Whether alone or flying with their vehicular mode combined into the super-jet, Dreadwing, the duo are always in the thick of combat, Dreadwind often ground zero in a symphony of destruction and Smokejumper rushing through the bedlam to find new targets and ground data.
At some point Smokejumper and his cohort were captured by their Autobot foes and thrown into the slammer - this being a penal colony some distance from Cybertron proper. Here they were left to rot until they could reform... a rather optimistic goal for their captors.
They did not have much time to rust, however, for they rode out on the coat-tails of Scourge's jail break. This villain, recently captured by Autobots on earth, wasn't about to rot in jail and escaped with the aid of his new pal Bludgeon. Seeing an opportunity, Smokejumper took it.
And of course brought his pal Dreadwind along. Though Scourge is in the process of building his own splinter group, the Destructicons, Smokejumper and Dreadwind are hanging with him partly out of gratitude - and partly because they have nothing better to do...
