In +40 among Predacons / Decepticons, In -40 among Autobots. Origin: Like his fellow Decepticon fighter jet, Skyfire, Wind Sheer is an electromechanical being from Cybertron, a robot that wishes to conquer the universe itself - if alongside his fellows. This evil alien may also be from another time period, making him doubly out of place on the planet earth. Known Powers: Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Decepticons, Wind Sheer is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this high-flying combatant has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Wind Sheer these super human powers: * Armor Skin: like most Cybertronians, Wind Sheer was built (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him Excellent (20) resistance to injury. This makes him immune to most basic human attack forms, and moderately resistant to his fellow robots. His defense breaks down as follows: Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Sh 0 / Sh 0 * Growth: most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. The trick with Wind Sheer, though, is that he's larger in his vehicular mode than he is in his humanoid configuration; his F-22 mode is 62 foot long, while his humanoid form is 'but' eighteen foot tall. According to the standard Growth rules, Wind Sheer has this power at Remarkable (30) rank, making him stand approximately eighteen feet tall. Since his Strength rank is the same, this offers no combat benefit, but on the other hand, human-sized folks targeting Wind Sheer receive a +2 CS to hit him. The Ultimate Powers Book, on the other hand, gives Wind Sheer this power at Typical (6) rank, making him out to be three times a normal human's size. This would grant the haughty Decepticon a +1 CS to the Strength score listed above (raising it to Incredible (40)), thus adding 10 points to his Health score. Now, according to the Transformers MSH Sourcebook, Wind Sheer's statistics are geared towards mixing it up with beings of like size. As such, when fighting folks of normal human size, he should receive a +2 CS to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth). Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Wind Sheer has a +1 size factor. As such, he inflicts +1 CS damage vs normal human opponents, and has 1 CS of Damage Reduction against them. On the other hand, he is at a -1 CS to hit them in combat, while they receive a +1 CS to hit him. * Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins: like all robots, Wind Sheer is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses this resistance at Class 1k rank versus organic pathogens, and at Unearthly (100) versus more chemically creative substances. * Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power lets them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche. 20mm Gatling Cannon: fitted with a weapon similar to his terran counterpart, Wind Sheer has a highly effective, front-mounted lead-slinger. This weapon can be used to inflict Excellent (20) Armor Piercing Shooting damage in a short burst, +1 CS in a continuous stream of lead. Flight: modeled on an advanced, high speed Air Force fighter jet, Wind Sheer's vehicle mode has the ability to fly at truly impressive speeds. As can his earthly counterpart, the F-22 Raptor, Wind Sheer can fly at speeds just shy of Mach 2 - Mach 1.8 to be precise - which translates into Shift Y (200) flight. Missiles: in addition to his main cannon, Wind Sheer is equipped with a veritable arsenal of missiles to bombard an opponent with while airborne; two are air to air or air to ground, while the other six help him to deal with airborne opponents only. These missiles have these vehicular statistics: C S B Damage Rm 30 Sh Y Ex 20 In 40 Edged Attack Shapechange: whenever he desires, Wind Sheer can transform between his humanoid and F-22 Raptor modes, and often does so quickly in battle to maximize the use of his abilities. This power is voice-activated, however ("Wind Sheer, Transform!"). His F-22 Raptor mode has these vehicular statistics: C S B P Mn 75 Sh Y In 40 Ex 20 Equipment: Energy Cannon: a warrior by trade, Wind Sheer carries a powerful blaster on him in his humanoid mode, which he stores in a sub-space pocket when not in use. This handy, advanced firearm can be fired to inflict Incredible (40) Energy damage per use, which can defeat the armor of most Cybertronians. Quirks: (none) Talents: Acrobatics: accustomed to fighting at incredibly high speeds, Wind Sheer delights in performing all manner of seemingly impossible aerial maneuvers, mostly to prove that he can - and to show off; of course, this talent applies to his humanoid form as well, and Wind Sheer dodges, escapes, and evades at +1 CS. Advanced Guns: though he is mainly built for fighting in his vehicular mode, Wind Sheer is more than adept at throwing down in his humanoid configuration as well. Whenever he's utilizing his energy cannon, or any other high tech implements of doom, Wind Sheer does so at his Agility rank +1 CS. Aerial Combat: it may go without saying, but as a highly advanced aircraft, Wind Sheer makes it a point to be very, very good at dominating the skies. Whenever he's engaged in combat while airborne, Wind Sheer may add a +1 CS to any applicable FEAT rolls required in battle. Contacts: As a Decepticon, Wind Sheer can theoretically rely upon both the Predacons and the Decepticons for assistance should he need it - of course, with his attitude, it often gives them a warm, fuzzy feeling to simply let him deal with his own messes. He gets himself into trouble rather easily, after all... Likeness: In his vehicle mode, Wind Sheer perfectly resembles a black and purple F-22 Raptor with orange cockpit glass and yellow trim in places. When transformed into his humanoid configuration, Wind Sheer simply appears to be a robot built from assorted black, yellow, and purple F-22 Raptor components. Personality: Wind Sheer is an incredibly arrogant Decepticon, delighting in his veritable dominance of the skies - few of his fellow Cybertronians on earth are fliers, after all. However, he usually takes things too far, and not only the Autobots hate him; his fellows loathe him enough to kill him themselves. Though they need his skills too much to go that far. Real Name: Wind Sheer Occupation: warrior Legal Status: citizen of Cybertron wanted on earth for various crimes against humanity Marital Status: inapplicable Alias(es), if any: none Group Affiliation: the Decepticons Height: 18' (approximately) Hair: inapplicable Eyes: orange Weight: several tons Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Wind Sheer is composed of a strong alien metal that is primarily black and purple in hue, with yellow trim, regardless of his form. Story: The exact origin of the high speed Decepticon fighter jet known as Wind Sheer is something of a mystery. After all, the first six Decepticons that were created on earth came about after Megatron tainted six stasis-bound Autobots with the overwhelming power of his own, diabolical spark. Of course, Megatron may have abducted even more Autobots than was at first revealed, thus giving himself the means to further supplement his earth-bound forces should even more Autobots arrive to derail his plan to steal this world's energy resources, not to mention his mission to acquire Fortress Maximus. Regardless of his origin, though, Wind Sheer has proven to be quite useful to Megatron's cause. Since precious few Autobots have the ability to fly, this Decepticon can outmaneuver them in combat quite easily, and has more than enough firepower to supplement Megatron's other minions on missions. However, it has quickly become apparent that Wind Sheer is not a team player; in fact, he revels in his air superiority, and takes every possible opportunity to let both his allies and enemies know just what he thinks of them. The only thing that keeps him alive is his amazing maneuverability and skill. Of course, even this was not enough to prevent Wind Sheer from sharing the fate of all his fellows. You see, after Galvatron (a dramatically supercharged Megatron) was defeated by the Autobots, he and his minions were detained and returned to Cybertron by their sworn enemies. Whether Wind Sheer and his fellow Decepticons (and Predacons) will ever escape their captivity in the Autobots' asteroid prison facility remains to be seen...
