Origin:

Like the rest of his fellow Predacons, Slapper is an electromechanical being from Cybertron, an evil robot that has, with his compatriots, waged a war against the heroic Autobots in a bid to conquer the universe. This alien may also be from another time period, making him doubly out of place on earth.

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique:
like his fellow Predacons, Slapper is a robotic entity of Cybertronian design and origin. As such, this amphibious warrior has, by his very nature, the use of a large variety of abilities that reflect this. His very body gives Slapper these super human powers:

* Armor Skin: like most Cybertronians, Slapper was manufactured (or formed) with a reinforced steel frame, one that offers him Excellent (20) resistance to injury. While not as durable as some of the larger Predacons, like Sky-Bite, Slapper is still rather resilient. Slapper's defense breaks down as follows:

Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Sh 0 / Sh 0

* Growth: most Cybertronians have some degree of control over their size, no matter what form they take. Thanks to the size of both his basic forms, Slapper doesn't need to exert this control. However, in relation to human-sized beings, he technically has this power.

According to the standard Growth rules, Slapper has this power at Poor (4) rank, making him stand approximately nine feet tall. While this doesn't increase the damage that he inflicts against human-sized opponents, Slapper's large size does allow such opponents a +1 CS to hit him.

The Ultimate Powers Book, however, would rank this Growth power at only Feeble (2) rank, giving him a similar height (being 150 % of the generic human size). Slapper doesn't receive a bonus to damage dished out to human-sized opponents with the U.P.B. rules either, but then, they don't receive a plus to hit him.

According to the Transformers MSH Sourcebook, on the other hand, Slapper's statistics are geared towards mixing it up with beings of like size. As such, when fighting folks of normal human size, he should receive a +1 CS to the damage he inflicts upon them (+1 CS per 2 CS of growth).

Finally, per the Universal Heroes rules, Slapper has a size factor of zero (0). As such, he receives no special bonuses or penalties when combating human-sized opponents thanks to his size alone. However, this does put him at a slight disadvantage against the Autobots...

* Invulnerability to Disease and Toxins: like all robots, Slapper is highly resistant to diseases and poisons that would kill organic beings. He possesses this resistance at Class 1k rank versus organic pathogens, and at Unearthly (100) versus more chemically creative substances.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity as is necessary, where distance is concerned. Functioning at Feeble (2) rank, this power lets them see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing them to read items on microfiche.

* Radio Transceiver: as are most all Transformers on earth, Slapper is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Decepticon or Predacon on earth, having Excellent (20) range (25,000 miles).

Fangs: in his beast mode, Slapper is armed with a very large pair of fangs with which to rend his foes into little itty bitty pieces. He can use these in battle to inflict his Strength rank (Excellent (20)) in Edged Attack damage with every bite; it's not stronger than mere brawling damage, just more deadly.

Grabber Claw: a sort of 'third arm' mounted on top of Slapper's left shoulder pad, this diamond-tipped, three-fingered claw is about as extendable as his tongue. Slapper can use this to inflict Remarkable (30) Edged Attack damage, though, and can cut through materials of up to Unearthly (100) m.s. with it.

Right Laser: part of the Predacons' field squad, Slapper is armed with a right-shoulder mounted laser (under his 'toothy' shoulder pad) that he usually uses in tandem with his compatriots. This laser can be used to inflict Excellent (20) Armor Piercing Energy damage per blast, +2 CS when used with the others.

Shapechange: as can be guessed by looking at various parts of his anatomy, Slapper has the power to transform into a large, almost demonic-looking horny toad. This form makes his amphibious activities more effective, but for the most part, Slapper can use most of his abilities in either of his forms.

Spikes / Claws: both of Slapper's forms are adorned with a plethora of spikes across his body, as well as claws that are mounted on all of his fingers and toes. He can use these weapons to inflict his Strength rank +1 CS (Remarkable (30)) in Edged Attack damage with every deadly strike.

Super Leaping: Slapper has very strong, frog-like legs in both of his forms. As such, he has the ability to leap vast distances in a single bound, doing so at Monstrous (75) rank; this allows him to cover seventy five feet straight up or forward, or one hundred feet down, without harming himself in the least.

Tongue-lash Attack: Slapper's principal attack form is the use of his elongating tongue, which can stretch up to 42' 3" in a pinch. He can use this tongue to strike an opponent in order to inflict his Strength rank +1 CS (Remarkable (30)) in Blunt Attack damage to anybody within the area he occupies.

Of course, Slapper can also use the tongue to attempt Grab maneuvers, snatching weapons or other small objects from an area (or even from opponents), not to mention its highly effective use as a grappling weapon, which he can easily use to partially - or fully - restrain an Autobot foe.

Ultravision: Slapper has the ability to see into the ultraviolet portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, which comes in handy when setting up nocturnal ambushes or other attacks when others simply can't see clearly. He possesses this power at Excellent (20) rank, and can use it in both of his forms.

Water Freedom: when in his beast mode, Slapper can move underwater with as much ease as he does above the waves. His horny toad form is especially designed for this, and as such, he suffers no penalty for any actions attempted in a liquid medium.

Computer Programming:
Slapper has demonstrated the ability to commandeer and reprogram computer systems of varying complexities on several occasions. As such, he should have full use of this talent, allowing him to make any computer operation / programming FEATs at a +1 CS to his Rsn score.

Weapon Skill / Whips: Slapper has also proven his effectiveness with whips and whip-like weapons, like his Tongue-lash attack and his Grabber Claw. He can use these weapons, and other similar implements of destruction, to attempt grabbing, grappling, and damaging attacks at a +1 CS.

Contacts:

As one of the Predacons, Slapper can theoretically rely on any of Megatron's minions for assistance should he need it. However, he tends to work with Dark Scream and Gas Skunk more than any of the others, and usually sides with Sky-Bite in any dispute between the Predacons and the Decepticons.

Likeness:

When in his horny toad mode, Slapper looks like a very large, robotic toad made from red and black metals, with eerie green eyes. However, when he transforms into his robot form, Slapper is seemingly in a perpetual crouch, and appears to be built from various components of a large, demonic steel toad.

Personality:

Slapper is the swindler of the Predacons, more sneaky and surly than his evil fellows. Despite his impressive abilities, this marsh warrior seems about as inept as the other Predacons, and usually bungles whatever job Megatron or Sky-Bite gives him. He's usually spoiling for a fight nonetheless.

Oddly, Slapper has an unnatural fondness for earth beers, even though he cannot actually be affected by their alcohol content - he just likes the taste of 'em... all of 'em.

Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Slapper is made of a strong, alien metal that is primarily red and black in hue, adorned with spikes and claws regardless of his current form.

Story:

Slapper is one of several Predacons in the service of Megatron, a powerful Cybertronian warrior that has journeyed to modern-day earth with various evil schemes in mind. Exactly how Slapper came to be in Megatron's service, as well as what time period he's actually from, is still a mystery.

Regardless, he came to earth with Megatron and the other Predacons, only to find that the planet was lousy with Autobots; somehow, the heroic Cybertronians knew well in advance that Megatron and company were on their way, and had quite a lot of time to prepare for their arrival.

Though he is primarily a marshland warrior, one who excels in terrain that allows him to make maximum use of his amphibious form, Slapper nonetheless usually finds himself in all kinds of environments on his many assignments, in which he's always accompanied by Dark Scream and Gas Skunk.

This trio's missions mostly involve fetching some item (or items) for either Megatron or Sky-Bite, the Predacons' second in command. However, something typically always goes wrong with their plans, and they usually fail outright - but Slapper and company have had their fair share of successes, mind you.

With the arrival of the Decepticons on the scene, Megatron made less and less use of his Predacons on earth. This has caused increasing tension between the two groups of evil Cybertronians, which came to a head when the Decepticon leader, Scourge, tried to bump Galvatron (an enhanced Megatron) off.

After this, Slapper and his fellow Predacons returned to their leader's good graces, though they were ultimately defeated in their bid to take control of the mightiest Autobot of all, Fortress Maximus. Captured after their defeat, the Predacons were locked up in an penal asteroid colony near Cybertron.

Whether or not Slapper will escape this imprisonment has yet to be revealed...
