Powers:
Animal Control (w): Quincy has the ability to control creatures commonly considered vermin, such as bats, rats, roaches, and wolves, at his Willpower score +4 (or, to save one looking back and forth, intensity 7). These creatures act as if they were an extension of Quincy's existence, and will gladly do whatever he commands, even if they happen to die in the process.
* Animal Summoning (w): in addition to being able to control vermin-like creatures with ease, Quincy can summon them forth to do their bidding, should none be readily available. Such creatures will be those commonly available to the surrounding area, however; wolves rarely, if ever, appear in an urban setting, for instance. This ability also works at Quincy's Willpower +4.
Animal Form (a): Quincy has the power to transform his humanoid body into that of an animal; unlike most stereotypical vampires, his transformation changes him into a wolf. This shape reduces his Strength to 4, but offers him a +3 bite attack (usable in conjunction with his life drain power), and intensity 5 Enhanced Senses / Smell, per that power, allowing him to track a target by scent.
Body Transformation / Gaseous Form (a): Quincy has the power to transform his body into a mist-like form, one that reduces him to a strength level of zero, yet makes him invulnerable to Kinetic and Energy attacks launched against his person. Also, this form grants him intensity 1 flight while in a misty state, allowing him to slowly creep away from (or up to) opponents. This is an intensity 8 power.
* Bodily Occupation (a): a strange ability Quincy possesses is the power to force his misty form into the lungs of an opponent for an aura duration. This is an average difficulty body transformation action, opposed by the target's Strength score. If Quincy succeeds, he can utilize intensity 8 Mind Control against his victim, per that power, for the duration of his occupation of a body.
Claws (s): Quincy, unlike many vampires, has the ability to shapechange his fingernails into dangerous edged instruments, instruments that can be utilized as +3 weapons against his opponents. Further, these items are retractable, in that they can simply be formed back into 'normal' nails once Quincy is done using them (though he mostly prefers to wield his foil in battle).
Flight (a): though not very common among vampires, Quincy has demonstrated that he has the power to fly in defiance of the pull of gravity. He's not very fast when flying about, only moving at sixty miles per hour (intensity 4 flight speeds), but he can nonetheless move himself in all three dimensions as he sees fit with this power (allowing for dramatic, last-minute escapes if all else fails).
Immortality (s): all vampires are essentially immortal beings, in that they no longer age whatsoever, and will eventually recover from most means of injury that would otherwise cancel the existence of mere mortal folks. However, vampires are not vulnerable to the standard means of eradicating immortal folks, really, instead having their own batch of supernatural weaknesses (see hindrances for more on this).
Life Drain (i): the dreaded blood-sucking attack of a vampire, this allows Quincy to, in addition to causing damage with his fangs, to inflict additional harm due to blood loss. Possessing this power at intensity 10, Quincy can drain blood from his target if he passes an easy life drain action, opposed by his target's Willpower score, which acts as a defense against this creepy power.
Now, this level of damage might just drain normal humans (and weaker werewolves) dry in but one or two exchanges. Luckily for humans in general, however, this power is bound by the multiple drains limitation, and as such, Quincy must drain a body several times before they'll be transformed into an undead creature like him. However, vampires can utilize this life drain power stunt, making such an act easier:
* Telepathic Control (w): Quincy can utilize intensity 13 mind control against persons or things it has bitten in the past, unless they've recovered all the health (or cards) lost due to his vampiric attacks. Furthermore, Quincy can wield this power at all times against any vampire that he himself has created, making such beings generally beholden to him until their 'creator' is slain.
Life Support (s): Quincy naturally wields this power at intensity 15, allowing him to go without food, water, and even air for the rest of his bizarre, confused existence. However, this power cannot cover the one thing a vampire needs to continue its life: the blood of others. The effect of a Quincy's blood lust is covered below, in the hindrances section.
Mind Control (w): this dreadful intensity 10 power, which can be achieved by eye contact, allows Quincy to control the actions of another person if he passes an easy mind control action, opposed by his target's Willpower score. If Quincy commands a body to commit an action diametrically opposed to their morals, he must make another action to reinforce his control, lest his prey break free.
Regeneration (s): highly resistant to conventional injury to begin with, Quincy also has the benefit of healing from attacks that do hurt him incredibly fast. Wielding this ability at intensity 10, this allows Quincy to recover one card (or an amount of health equal to the card number) upon a positive aura reading on each exchange, or a neutral aura reading as long as the card number is less than 10.
However, it is important to state that Quincy will not regenerate during an exchange if he has been at all damaged during the previous one. As such, if severely beaten or beset upon, Quincy will typically retreat until his damage has been recovered from, and then launch a secondary attack (and so on) until his foes have been finally vanquished (or he has, mind you, barring common sense retreats).
Teeth (s): in addition to his dreadful claws, Quincy has the ability to harm his opponents with deadly fangs, which are often a prelude to a life draining attack. These +1 instruments are quite potent, but usually aren't used to lethal effect (again, they're mostly just an opening for a life drain attack, which Quincy can use concurrently with a teeth attack).
Equipment:
Silver Foil (s): as does his compatriot, Ultra Xiang, Quincy carries a special weapon with which to harry his dinner. This blade, made from silver, is of only material strength 6, but this is irrelevant when used against werewolves (and some vampires), who are harmed by the mere touch of silver, and possess no protection against weapons made from it. Of course, it can break rather easily...
Hindrances:
While standard immortal types are permanently slain only by total body disintegration, destruction on their home plane, or being killed by a fellow immortal, Quincy is instead beholden to a completely different set of weaknesses. These are, of course, just as powerful as those that affect standard immortals; they simply take a rather different form. Quincy's weaknesses include:
* Addicted - Blood: Quincy must feed upon blood to survive. If he goes without drinking blood for over a day, he will be reduced to zero (0) Willpower until he does so. If in such a state, and presented with an opportunity to feed, Quincy must pass a desperate Willpower action (at the lowered intensity) to resist the urge to sate his hunger, should he want to; unless werewolves are present, he definitely will, too...
* Fatally Vulnerable - Direct Sunlight: if stricken with beams of light straight from the sun, Quincy will take five points of damage (or lose one card) each exchange, against which he has no defense whatsoever. This damage will continue until Quincy either gets under shelter or he is utterly destroyed, leaving a pile of ash where he once stood (or was tied down).
* Phobic - Holy Symbols: having been a Catholic priest in the past, Quincy is susceptible to the will of the faithful, focused through a cross. When one is used against him, Quincy can be warded off to firing distance by this action. If he attempts to enter this space, he suffers an amount of damage equal to the faithful man or woman's Willpower score for as long as he remains too close to said person.
* Triggered-Powerless - Wooden Stake Through the Heart: if a foe strikes Quincy with a wooden stake in the heart (at least an average difficulty attack), he will fall to the ground powerless, his ability and power scores reduced to zero. If the stake isn't removed within one exchange, Quincy will die, and be unable to return to the realm of the undead until the stake is removed.
Skills:
Languages / English and Spanish (i): though he hasn't been to America in a long, long time, and doesn't really use it all that often, Quincy has mastered the English tongue alongside his native Spanish; after all, tourists tend to pop up in Seguridad more often than you'd think. He can read, write, and speak in both languages fluently, though he does have a rather strong Spanish accent when talking in English...
Occult Lore (i): Quincy, after having turned into a vampire, extensively studied various branches of the occult tree, learning all he could about that which is his chosen prey: the werewolf. Of course, his studies have allowed him to learn a lot more about other occult subjects as well, such as vampires (like himself), various otherworldly entities, and places of magical and spiritual power.
Swords (s): occasionally in pure denial about his vampiric nature, Quincy has learned how to utilize a sword in the perpetration of his swashbuckling adventures - and his werewolf hunting. He can use any blade at one difficulty level lower than is usually necessary, though he truly prefers the use of his trademark silver foil, which allows him to do battle (in his mind at least) with panache and style.
Calling:
Responsibility of Power: the utterly bonkers vampire known to the world only as Mos Quito (as he refers to himself) feels a responsibility to help those in need, whoever they happen to be. Though he only occasionally seems to recognize his undead state, he'll nonetheless use his considerable abilities to protect the innocent, quash evil, and of course to thin the werewolf population worldwide...!
Costume:
Thinking himself like unto Zorro himself (which is eerie, since he strongly resembles George Hamilton), Quincy wears a distinctive costume at all times. His adventuring garb consists of a roomy black silk, long sleeved shirt, black trousers, black leather gloves, black leather boots, a black leather belt, a black mask to hide his identity, and of course, a black felt 'Zorro' hat (bought from an online prop replica store).
Personality:
Quincy's a good man. He was a saint before his transformation, but now he's 'just' good - and a great hero. Quincy has thoroughly subsumed himself into his 'Zorro' persona, thinking himself to truly be like unto that great swashbuckler of film lore, even if he goes by a different name altogether. However, he has a habit of referring to himself in the third person, which tends to annoy some people...

Story:
Father Quincy Alvarez was originally a Catholic priest who, in the small town of Seguridad, Mexico, became almost legendary for his selfless service to the community. There was nothing he wouldn't do to help those who attended his church, not to mention anyone else in the town. As long as a person was in need, he would go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure said person was well taken care of.
His unqualified charitableness may have been what saved him. You see, one night Quincy was mobbed by a very large number of vampires, beasts who find themselves drawn to the town due to the presence of a secret, mystic library, beasts who needed a midnight 'snack'. Naturally, though he was armed with a cross, and truly believed in the power it represented, Quincy was no match for the supernatural horrors.
He suffered severe blood loss due to their attack, though he managed to ultimately escape the beasts (as he 'turned' most of them away before he was bitten). Resting in his church for days, Quincy slowly felt the curse of vampirism overcome him, but refused to leave the only home he'd seen in ten years, hoping somehow that being there would be enough to shake the evil out of him.
It didn't, though, and unable to deal with the horror of what had occurred, Quincy went mad. Stark. Raving. Bonkers. While most folks that are turned into vampires typically transform into evil, soulless monsters, this didn't quite occur with Quincy. Or maybe it did, draining his nigh-sainthood down to a level of mere 'enlightened goodness'. Regardless, he suffered a dramatic personality shift upon his transformation.
Being kooky in the head, he adopted the persona of an adventuring swashbuckler, a'la Zorro, and after leaving Seguridad, he journeyed from town to town, righting wrongs and battling vampires whenever he encountered them on the prowl. Of course, vampires need to feed, but Quincy refused to consume the blood of human beings or animals. This left him only one bizarre recourse.
Noting that the area around Seguridad was lousy with supernatural things, he chose to use werewolves as his sole source of sustenance. They tended to be only slightly less common than vampires themselves, and he found he could easily subdue them with the use of a special foil that, in addition to furthering his mental image, could easily penetrate their impressive defenses (being silver and all).
This arrangement worked out well for the environs around Seguridad, for Quincy was definitely putting a dent in the population of supernatural entities. In fact, it was during one hunt of his that Quincy ran into a large group of vampires who had ganged up on a mere human. Surprising the evil monsters by attacking them instead of this leather-clad stranger, Quincy easily managed to save him.
Finding out that this fellow had a mad-on for vampires, Quincy was about to leave him to his own devices, but this fellow, a psionic vampire hunter by the name of Ultra Xiang, felt grateful for the rescue. It wasn't every day that he encountered a somewhat heroic undead, after all, so he wasn't sure what to do about the situation. As such, he questioned Quincy at length about his activities.
After hearing his (admittedly skewed) story, Xiang offered to accompany Quincy on a werewolf hunt; after all, the man had saved his life. This went particularly well with the use of Xiang's telekinetic powers and small arsenal of silver stakes, so Quincy decided to tag along with Xiang on his own hunts. While Xiang may sometimes be annoyed by his ersatz sidekick, Quincy is completely oblivious to the man's disdain.
And sticks by his side to this very day. Which is easy, as the both of 'em are never awake during the day...!
