Origin:

Jeremy appears to be a mutant, as he apparently developed his powers independent of any external stimuli from his environment - his powers just 'showed up' one fine day in Atlanta.

Known Powers:

Body Transformation / Self:
Jeremy has the super human ability to transform his body into a sort of mountainous, humanoid granite form. This form grants him a +2 CS boost to his Str score (raising his Health to 140), as well as Incredible (40) ranked body resistance, per the power, which offers him the following resistance to the various forms of attack:

* In 40 / Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Sh 0

Density Manipulation / Self: this Excellent (20) ranked ability allows Jeremy to shift his body into all sorts of solid materials, like mountains, concrete foundations, and the like. This is a great way to hide from any sort of serious danger, as well as to sneak up on a body undetected (how many people can detect a phased body within solid matter, after all)?

Elongation: this odd power allows Jeremy to distend, stretch, and otherwise distort his physical dimensions, whether they be length, width, or height, at Remarkable (30) rank. The maximum distance he can stretch in any one dimension is 900 feet (his power rank squared, in feet). This can be quite a surprise to Jeremy's opponents, since he doesn't look very flexible (in stone form, at any rate).

Ice Generation: Jeremy has the power to generate intense waves of cold that, in conjunction with ambient moisture, allow him to create ice structures of Remarkable (30) m.s.; coincidentally, this is the same rank he wields this power at. This also tends to give him a sort of glacial look while using this power in his stone form (an interesting look, to be sure).

Radarsense: this para-sensory ability allows Jeremy to gather up a three dimensional image of his surroundings, which effectively allows him to negate most mundane attempts to surprise or ambush him while he uses this power. Also comes in handy in his stone form, since he has no 'eyes', per se. This Good (10) ranked power has a total useful range of ten areas.

Resistance to Cold and Heat Attacks: Jeremy is resistant to a large range of temperature variation, having Remarkable (30) immunity to any attack of a cold or heat based nature. This allows him to ignore the effects of his own ice generation power, as well as scorching levels of heat damage. This comes in quite handy when stranded in desolate areas...

Super-Running: in addition to his other, extensive abilities, Jeremy can run really, really, really fast, achieving ground speeds of 105 miles per hour. This Incredible (40) ranked power allows him such maximum speeds if, of course, the ground underneath him can support such a pounding (in his stone form, it most likely wouldn't...).

Equipment:

Jeremy generally carries a lot of Batman and Blade style weaponry. Throwing stars, a collapsable staff, micro-grenades (flash mostly), a mini-hook and line, etc. Nothing really major, just a few items to hide his powers in a pinch or provide cover for changing costumes or forms. Of course, these items can be quite intimidating in his hands - regardless of his current form...

Quirks:

Attractiveness:
a rather smooth and handsome African-American guy, Jeremy has this odd knack for making women swoon. As such, folks receptive to his physical charms react to him as if his Popularity score were +1 CS; of course, folks that don't are not affected by this quirk...

Bluntness: to offset his attractiveness some, Jeremy is quite a straight-up kind of guy; he almost always says what's on his mind, all the time. In fact, should he want to restrain himself in conversation, he must pass a Psc (will) FEAT roll at -1 CS in order to do so.

Eidetic Memory: Jeremy has a way with numbers, figures, and the like - you know, abstract concepts that aren't immediately relevant in the 'real world', but nonetheless hold sway over them. As such, he can apply a +1 CS to all FEATs of a mathematical or puzzle-solving nature.

Talents:

Chemistry:
Jeremy knows a thing or two about chemical matters, including things like identifying substances, disarming chemical weapons, and even the countering of poisons and some limited bio-agents. His Reason score in such matters ought to be considered +1 CS, whether he be mixing something up or breaking it down.

Computers: a hobby in his youth, Jeremy has learned the ins and outs of computer usage, programming, and repair. In fact, he's fairly competent in putting your standard personal computers together. His Reason score in such matters ought to be considered +1 CS, whether he be working with simple laptops or super-advanced computer tech.

Oriental Weapons: Jeremy is well-versed in the use of all manner of oriental-styled weaponry. For instance, he can effectively wield shuriken, crossbows, sais, katana, kris, and any other sort of oriental weapons. His Ftg or Agy score should be considered +1 CS when wielding such items against another person or when countering assaults with them.

Subterfuge: in addition to his scholarly and martial skills, Jeremy is well-versed in the fine art of verbal trickery. Like being able to sell ice to an Eskimo. Being able to talk the White Queen into sleeping with you on the first date - you know, that sort of thing. This talent boosts Jeremy's popularity score +1 CS for purposes of NPC reactions required when he tries to manipulate others.

Other than current group of adventurers he's mixed up with, Jeremy can rely on the cousin whom he was living with and his former martial arts teacher's daughter for help in a pinch. He is just starting off in the superhero biz. He has met a martial artist called Iron Fist once or twice. Not really a good contact though, yet Iron Fist does remembers his name.

Costume:

Jeremy wears a bodysuit that's like the one that the Scorpion character from those Mortal Kombat games wore. In essence, it's a black skinsuit with midnight blue boots, a blue tabard, and facemask. Also, the shirt piece has two a long midnight blue strip on each edge that come up in a 'v' pattern that end in veritable shoulder pads on top.

Personality (in the words of Charlie):

Cold demeanor, kind of a loner, really warm and caring once you get to know him. Has shrunk the chip on his shoulder from a tree to a 2x4. Despite being attractive he still has a problem simply talking to women. Has hidden morals of not trying to move in on anyone else's companion. Has a tendency to try be very heroic, despite the fear on the outside.

Has the tendency to be very blunt, to the point of sometimes not seeing the affect that his words are having and his (bad) timing when saying them. Has developed the natural ability to blend in to any cultural environment. Currently has a crush on Tammy, if he could ever figure her out.

Story:

Though he was born in Denver, Colorado, Jeremy has grown up in the south, primarily in Killeen, Texas - a small town that lies a bit east of Waco. His father, a Southern Baptist preacher, and his mother, the owner of a small accounting firm, were killed in a boating accident while he was only twelve years old. After this tragedy, he moved in with his cousin in Atlanta, Georgia.

Having a head for business and a heart for love, Jeremy has taken it upon himself to learn everything he could about computers, and has also studied various cultures and languages, memorizing them by the numerical rhythm inherent to each one. He was pondering his future, primarily in regards to college, when out of nowhere, his mutant powers came to the fore.

Suddenly finding himself with the awesome power to transform his body into living stone, Jeremy began to play with his newfound ability only to develop several other useful mutations almost simultaneously. This changed his outlook, some, as the emergence of mutant powers will cause one to reconsider the path their life is to take - and Jeremy is no exception to this.

Before he could make any solid decisions, however, Jeremy got himself mixed up in a fight between a telekinetic psi he knows only as Tammy, and some local mobsters. Thanks to this, Jeremy found himself flung back into the far past by the power of the evil assassin known as the Seven Dimensional Man, but at least he had company in the form of Tammy, who the 7-D Man kept calling Mindgame for some reason.

While trapped in the earth's dark past, Jeremy and Tammy had quite an adventure, one that ended with their causing the dread technomage Morbis a crippling defeat, one that kept him out of mortal affairs until very recently. Upon his return to the present, Jeremy has gotten himself mixed up with a large band of super-powered adventurers, the result of which has yet to be seen...
